Goes to show how much of a difference it makes when the show actually has a plan and a plan that traces all the way back to those animated shows. Cant wait for season 2! Hopefully we can see Anakin acting as the father eventually!
I wholeheartedly recommend to watch the clone wars series and the rebels. The show is made really well and has some really dark sequences in which you can clearly see how for instance the character of Anakin moved towards the dark side and many more like this. Definitely a show made for an audience of all ages
The whole Sköll and Hati wolves chasing the sun (light side reference?)/moon (dark side reference?) not only ties with Baylan and Shin but also with the white and black Loth-wolves seen in the shows and depicted on the murals. I think it's great to see this consistent symbolism that wolves are somehow tied to the spectrum of the Force.
When Ezra closes the mural on Lothal. The Son whispers “the future by its very nature can be changed”. I always wondered if this could potentially allude to his return in the future. I really hope that he is the power calling to Baylan and we get to see him in some form in live action.
Could Anakin be the new Father? The balance between the dark and the light? He was standing at the peak where the Father statue is pointing and it is what the Father wanted in the Clone Wars arc. That would also be poetic considering Ahsoka could be the Daughter. Baylon could end up being the son as well given his orange lightsaber indicating he is neither Jedi or Sith (just as the Son proclaimed in the Clone Wars). Just a theory but I think it’s possible.
yes i believe anakin will be the father, holding the balance and completing the clone wars mortis arc. i believe the son will twist baylan's motives and trick him to take his place as the son. after all the dark side is strong with him it will be a perfect fit with baylan as the Son, ahsoka as the Daughter and anakin as the Father holding balance between the light and the dark.
I’m not entirely sure who will fill the roles of the father, son, and daughter but one flaw I notice with theorizing this episode in particular is that lots of creators and theorist say “well since the daughters statue is no longer intact it’s because Ashoka has taken her place, while also theorizing that anakin has taken the place of the father while his statue is still intact this could mean many things but it’s just something I noticed. I can’t wait to see what comes next!!!
Maybe abeloth is so powerful that she is able to spread her influence all the way to the og galaxy, simultaneously fighting Ahsoka & Ezra at the temple in peridea. I could see her trying to incarnate into someone like Shin too, or ventress if it’s possible to resurrect her
If the witches can do it, I bet she could... even if it took 3 of them and physical devices/temples to help. Here's my problem with the Abeloth thing though... don't we know exactly where she is? She's in The Maw...
I like the idea of every time the mortis gods went to check on the mother the son and daughter would ask the father for directions, so he just built a huge statue to save himself repeating "over there ffs" every time.
I agree I think Abeloth is way too “legends” to introduce her into current Disney canon. I think Balin is seeking whoever is available I’m not sure who it would be but it’s most likely the son.
So Ezra saw the mural on the temple in rebels. How cool would it have been to have had Ezra and Ahsoka have a conversation about what happened in the Mortis Arc just to introduce new fans to the concepts. Ezra probably has seen the statues if he was on the planet that long, and sensed a dark energy that he protected himself from. Ahsoka could have asked "What do you know about this planet?" and he could have told her about the statues that were just like the mural on the temple. This could have lead to a discussion about Ahsoka's experience on Mortis, and how one of the dark jedi that came there with them, Baylon, is looking for something on this planet, something not related to Thrawn. We also could have used a scene with Shin trying to rejoin Thrawn and being rejected, as Thrawn did not like Baylon and judges padawans by their Masters. This would have explained why she was still on the planet and joining the bandits. Also would have appreciated a scene of Ezra escaping in the shuttle. I liked the show overall but including the above information in epi 7+8 would have made it a 9 out of 10.
While I agree with you that Abeloth might be very risky to implement into the canon in the long run, you can be sure about this: IF they introduce her... they'll have one hell of a chance for a truly amazing reveal!
Very sad this is the last we’ll see of Baylan… in live action at least. I think for a lot of people he was the most interesting character in the series
Many people think they shot a lot more of his arc but they ended up editing it out to withhold it for S2. We may yet see a full-fledged arc from him in S2
Ahsoka has always been an unconventional Jedi like her master. Ahsoka & Anakin understand that the fatal flaw of the Jedi-Council was their lack of humanity & faith in the Force. Family & friends, attachment is NOT weakeness. Ahsoka isn’t mad at Sabine because Ezra is family. They will find a way to protect “the greater good” & not abandon family. Luke with his father. Anakin never leaving “snips”. The Jedi besides using child-soldiers, didn’t nurture the emotions of the next-generation which lead to the trauma of both Anakin & Ahsoka & countless other force-sensitives youth. The whole Themes of Star Wars talk about this over, & over. Edit: Ahsoka’s destiny is probably to stop Baylan & the Mother. Before reuniting with Ezra. Thrawn not only has Anakin’s apprentice to deal with, but also his children.
This new arc with Mando, Ahsoka, and everyone is exactly what we’ve been waiting for. I feel like it’s all about chasing something with greater power than them all. The mortis gods, baylan, Ahsoka, and Anakin all have some connection and I’m eager to explore what it is.
I get the impression that Filoni would go straight to the pool of knowledge. We'll probably see Baylan from the back wearing his hood (so that we can't see the actor) walk up to it, take a drink and then he becomes what The Mother might have been or he becomes controlled by her. Either way even before the Ones reveal I had a feeling he'd be consumed by, controlled by, or a host for what ever it was he was chasing so this makes even more sense to me how they might handle it.
If they do bring in The Son, it'll be the perfect opportunity for Sam Witwer to finally get his live action role (that isnt just a voice dub for/or a masked character
All the other Mortis gods are dead. Abaloth is reaching out to Baylen through the force in an effort to have someone free her. This makes sense as to why even the nightmothers want to get out of there.
I think Baylan represents the father, he’s the grey in the middle master type. We’ve been shown his conflicting feelings on both sides throughout the whole show. His apprentice Shin will likely take up the mantle of the son.
I mean, it seems soooo obvious to me that I don't understand why everyone else is thinking otherwise. First the fact that Baylan was a Jedi, now neither Jedi nor Sith but something in between. Ahsoka is clearly the Daughter, and Shin is the impetuous, light-headed, anger-driven Son type. Of course, the death of Stevenson may shift things for Anakin to become the Father, but it'd make little sense. Baylan has history with both Ahsoka and Shin, Anakin has no fucking clue who those other two are
I re-watched the mortis arc of clone wars after the Ahsoka finale. Man I love star wars!! This reveal made me fall in love with star wars again! Thank you Filoni
I think a interesting point about the Mortis gods is that they are not just the gods of the main Star Wars galaxy but maybe of the whole universe since we know about their presence in another galaxy where the force exist also! Could that make anakin one of the strongest beings in the Star Wars universe👀? Just a theory I had thought about when watching!
Its been a while since ive come to this channel but once again I have the feeling that theories are going to be infinitely more satisfying then what we will be served in the end
I wonder if Ahsoka will transition into the embodiment, so to speak, of the Ashla. She has gone by the name previously, and I think if there’s some world between worlds stuff coming up it could cause the idea of the Ashla to spread.
@@IDieHardForever Ashla goes back to Lucas’s early ideas for Star Wars and was the name for the light side of the force. The Bendu in Rebels mentions Ashla and Ahsoka goes by Ashla when in hiding after Order 66.
I think that the temple on peridea is the orginal home of the mortis gods, and when abeloth came to power, they left peridea and moved to mortis, keepibg Abeloth isolated in this galaxy.
I wonder if the son survived the same way the one sith did by having so much pure anger and hatred that he was able to extend/pro long his death or he's able to appear as a force ghost but his physical embodiment is dead?
Those were my favorite episodes of Clone Wars, because are full of mythology. I think the same, there is a connection between the characters that makes me think that way. When I saw Morai and the sculptures I was perplexed, I couldn't believe it. This is how stories are built, I always thought that this story of the father, the son and the daughter had too much potential. Amazing guys!
For sure Baylan's character and plot development NEEDS to continue. RIP Ray Stevenson but for recasting, list your fan choices below. I say it has to be someone from the UK,/Ireland and also has Ray's sense of gravitas.
He hasn’t “incorporated” the ones he’s alluded to them. Star Wars had an history of getting their fans excited for lure that never comes to fruition. It would have been so easy to finish the finale with some monumental event to show the power of the father and to get people excited about what’s coming. This would be like if they closed Avengers Infinity War with Thanos looking at his gauntlet, rather than showing him snapping away everyone.
It seems like Skoll chasing the sun alludes to him chasing the light side while Hati is chasing the dark side. It seemed that way based off of their characters
The purpose of Skoll and Hati is to *eat* the sun and moon, so rather than pursuing sides, Baylan is very power-hungry and anti-Jedi so his ambition is to devour and destroy the light, while Hati is struggling with her morality, refuses to attack Ahsoka and Sabine then later retreats to leave them be when Ahsoka senses that struggle, so Hati will devour and destroy the darkness
@@cm3368What are you saying? Shin ran because she would have been wrecked. As for Baylan, he's not trying to destroy the light; he's attempting to end the cycle and create forever peace, a balance.
@@nnnmmmable Shin wasn't going to be 'wrecked', Ahsoka picked up on her doubts and realised she's not truly immersed in the dark then invited her to join them, after which she ran away. The Force's natural state is 'light' which is neutrality, the only way to prevent its corruption would be to remove its existence entirely, besides, we already know Baylan's not going to succeed in whatever he's trying to do
@@cm3368 Yes, she would have been wrecked. Ahsoka was there and could handle her with ease and did so already. She ran because she was defeated, outnumbered, and uninterested in Ahsoka's offer. Again, Baylan has no means to destroy the light. He wants to end the cycle of light dominance and then dark dominance, the switching between Jedi dominance and Sith dominance. He doesn't support the idea of the return of Thrawn and the Empire or the return Of the Jedi; he seeks permanent peace.
Also, if Filoni is comfortable bringing the Ones back into view, I don’t see there being a problem with bringing back ABELOTH. In my eyes she’s equally complex and risky. It’s just a matter of whether he wanted to or not. In fact I feel like she almost comes with the territory. I’m not surprised
I'm betting on this: Baylan meets "the father" which isn't the father but a form of abeloth which is tricking him. Could be a cool reveal when she starts taking the true form and could include some horror elements. That would be cool.
Kind of solidified my hope for Disney. I’m pretty much sure I’m done. I’ve given them way too many chances and they do nothing but disappoint me now I hear Bo-Katan is taking over for the Mandalorian.. I own episodes one through six on Blu-ray and seasons one through six of the clone wars on Blu-ray and I’ll stick with those
If abeloths coming then anakins going to have a massive role to play now it looks like he’s taken on the role of the father. This could be huge to completing anakins destiny as the chosen one and redemption arc. My theory is once anakin has defeated abeloth he is fully redeemed from his mistakes as Vader and can finally move on to be with padme in the nether world of the force because right now it looks like he’s stuck in the world between worlds.
😅It's pretty obvious that Baylan is to become the father. His light saber is not completely red, hes also standing on the hand of the father and he's compassionate yet firm. Most importantly, he wants to see a balance and end to chaos, its all right in front of us by every dialogue and action. The mother can be changed to the mother of the night sisters. Maybe the father condemned her for misusing the force and the nightsisters have been trying to flee with the remains of her temple/prison to free her, hence the cargo they've brought onto the chimera.... Just a guess, but it all seems to fit a little, especially Baylan.
Opinions on Sabine bad acting? I’ll give credit to Ahsoka finale it was very impressive. Sabine overall was very annoying but had a good last episode. Baylan needs to be recasted as very should of done for Black Panther. I think Abaloth is coming which actually is really intriguing.
Acting wasnt bad - the plot contrivances and lack of dialogue were bad. Part of me is hoping that they chopped up episodes 7 and 8 after RSs death (and that thats the reason for them being so lacking) and that theres more RS footage which is going into S2.
Been rewatching Ahsoka and in episode 2 when shin asked Baylon what happens when they find thrawn he says for some war and for others a new beginning and for them power like you’ve never dreamed. Now that we’ve seen season one it’s clear that he could foresee thrawn causing war and the night sisters get the new beginning and Baylon is seeking mortis related power and didn’t bring shin with him due to her ambitions. Cool picking up on the little things with a rewatch
The episodes in Clone Wars with the Ones are my absolute favourite. I have watched them a million times and I was hoping to see more of them in Clone Wars but never did.
I don’t agree. So many good theories being built up around this thing but the actual product gives us nothing. If you just look objectively at what we got in the show it was literally nothing. What was even the point of baylan? Shin? Thrawn? Ezra had to be taught how to use the force by SABINE? Anyone ever heard of force sensitives? In reality they have destroyed what Star Wars really is. 1-6 is king and always will be
I watched the clone wars a long time ago and noticed that Darth Maul and The Son said the exact same line: "the chains, the chains are the easy part. It's what goes on in here (head) that's hard". Maul said it season 4 episode 21 and the son season 3 episode 16. I don't know if anyone ever noticed it but I always thought it meant something.

He gets alot right but when he F's up. and us fans call him out he runs for the hills, But he knows true fans are onto his bs. True stars fans aoid this sorry individual.
Hello. Anikins is calling to Baylan. Anikins is now the father. He wants powerful Baylan as the son. And Ashoka is the daughter now too. And they are all here on the same planet... yuuuuuum. Good luck.
About the pool. It just occurerd to me that Odin gained (some of) his knowledge from a well where the head of Mimir was. Now this wouldn't link to Star Wars, BUT since Baylan (and Shin) got their names from Norse myths, _maybe_ the mountain is the well/pool that the mother drank from? This would actually make sense, if Baylan wanted that kind of knowledge.
When the son moves he says "The Future can be changed...." Besides the Owl, we do see the Bat in episode 6 when Baylan is talking to Shin there is clearly a large Bat-like thing in the background
One solution to handle Ray's death is to have Baylan recast and the character wear a mask due to injuries sustained offscreen in his quest to find the mortis gods.
They might have cut Baylans scenes out of the finale so that they could use it for season two since he’s passed and a huge fan favorite that way they don’t have to recast him
Ray Stevenson was an amazing as Baylon in the show, I do wonder how they will handle his character in season 2, I personally believe recasting would be the best route because I do not think Dave Filoni would just write him off or kill him off just like that. I just hope if they do recast Baylan, it will be an actor who can portray Baylan well without trying too hard to mimic Ray's performance.
Bro it was Anakin who perform the ritual to transfer the life of the daughter into Ahsoka so in reality Anakin was who save n brought her back to life as his Chosen 💯
The wolves chasing the sun and the moon reminds me of the wolves that ran around the mural in Rebels, just before the gateway to the world between worlds opened
"We will destroy the Sith....and the Jedi." Now that I think about what the Son said compared to Baylan's aims to transcend the cycle of back and forth, I think there could be something to the idea that The Son is calling to Baylan. It'd still be cool for Abeloth to be brought in at some point.
You guys all claiming that the Son and the Father are waiting at that volcano for Ahsoka/Baylan/Shin know that the Son and the Father DIED IN OFFICIAL CANNON right?
I feel like Baylen kept hearing this "call in the force" because his fate does not lie in any sides that we already know but rather in the "gray area". Maybe he will become the new Father as a replacement but if he would return, how would his apprentice react if they both stay on Peridhia.
I would like to see Abeloth reference events from Legends that are not canon to our current timeline. It could indicate that they still exist somehow, but some series of events has led the universe down a different path
It could be that Baylan is being called by the Father (not the son). Mirroring the scene from clone wars where Anakin looks up at the citadel. When Anakin arrived, he found the father waiting for him. What a great way to reveal that Anakin is now the father or at least hint at it, having Baylan show up and find Anakin sitting there on the throne. Likewise, we all think that Anakin shows up at the end of season one to give Ahsoka the nod of approval for her deeds but perhaps he is there for a more profound reason. Almost like Anakin is checking in on his daughter and son. Making sure the pieces are all in place for the coming transition. Either way I am so excited for this. Clone Wars is my favorite Star Wars and the Mortis god episodes are some of my favorite. Dave Filoni is the man. He should be a part of every star wars project
Theory if you see the daughter's statue in the end it has something akin to the lekku's ends on the front part between the shoulders, in the chest. This also can't be her hair since they are shown to be much longer and falling back in all her depictions and scenes in mortis gods arc. Thus , this confirms that ahsoke is the daughter rn. 1:11
I would like to point out the gesture of the father. He is pointing towards the entrance to the world between worlds in Rebels. Loth wolves then form a gate for ezra to pass through. Now, Hati and Skoll are both wolves, so i believe the father is pointing towards a nexus where a gate for sabine and ahsoka can be opened, and now shin and baylan will kind of open the gate, like they did in the mural

It would be interesting to see Baylan arrive at the Mortis temple and find Anakin there as the new Father.
yes i believe anakin will be the father, holding the balance and completing the clone wars mortis arc. i believe the son will twist baylan's motives and trick him to take his place as the son. after all the dark side is strong with him it will be a perfect fit with baylan as the Son, ahsoka as the Daughter and anakin as the Father holding balance between the light and the dark.
Yeah Anakin is the key to everything.
I made a compilation of best lightsaber fight scenes from this show, check it out!
Ahsokas memory was wiped, she doesn't remember what happened on mortis, but it may be coming back to her.
Sabine will remember them.

Gotta be honest, I didn't even notice the beam of light coming out of the mountain in the distance 🤣
While I agree with you that Abeloth might be very risky to implement into the canon in the long run, you can be sure about this: IF they introduce her... they'll have one hell of a chance for a truly amazing reveal!
Amazing content as usual! Can’t wait to see Filoni adapt these 3 into live action!
Makes sense, especially since the voice we heard whisper to Ahsoka was the Son when she was retrieving the star map
Very sad this is the last we’ll see of Baylan… in live action at least. I think for a lot of people he was the most interesting character in the series
Either that or recast
I think Todd Stashwick should be considered for the continuation of the Baylan Skoll character.
He'll be recast
Lol you don't know that, they will likely re cast
We need a mini series taking place from when Thrawn and Ezra get to peridia until Baylon and Sabine arrive .
I really appreciate your dedication to a story we truly cherish as the greatest story ever told.
They have to recast right? This story/plotline was the best part of the show.
RIP Ray
I guess if the Son lives it would make sense too because Palpatine is also "alive" and the times grew dark fast after episode 6 to 7
I think Baylan represents the father, he’s the grey in the middle master type.
What's this? Ashla ... I don't recall this name.
I’ve been waiting for you to talk about this!!!!!
A great way to continue Baylan's story would be to explain that he merged with Abeloth or even became his own dark side entity
I would not mind another spin-off series focused solely on the mortise gods. They are truly fascinating.
what a absolute beast ray was in this show. Rip you legend. A new favourite SW character for me !! Love ya theory thanks for awesome content as always
I knew it straight away when I saw it
The mortis storyline is so interesting. I love checking how the fan fictions around it, to see where people’s imaginations have taken them.
For sure Baylan's character and plot development NEEDS to continue. RIP Ray Stevenson but for recasting, list your fan choices below. I say it has to be someone from the UK,/Ireland and also has Ray's sense of gravitas.
I vote for Sean Bean, he's got the gravitas down perfectly, the northern UK accent
Ray was Irish
Gerard Butler is the ideal choice for look, accent & mannerism.
Gérald Butler would be a perfect recast of Baylan
I really loved this episode
The Force's natural state is 'light' which is neutrality, the only way to prevent its corruption would be to remove its existence entirely, besides, we already know Baylan's not going to succeed in whatever he's trying to do
I made a compilation of best lightsaber fight scenes from this show, check it out!
Shint Hati chasing the moon could be seen as the death star and thus the empire, which was revealed by Bayland to be her goal.
The Son or The Mother...either is bad news.
Immediately filed under the "Who Cares?" category.
😂
What if anakin Skywalker had venom symbiote in revenge of the sith
I love how the show called “Ashoka” but the one who got the most attention was Baylan
And she’s new.
I own episodes one through six on Blu-ray and seasons one through six of the clone wars on Blu-ray and I’ll stick with those
I was waiting for someone to talk about this. Very easy to miss detail.
Hate to burst ya bubble but anakin is literally at the end of the movie not in the world between worlds
Didn’t think sabines acting was half bad.
@@KingLouis420thtrue it was all bad
@@ZooropaPinballnah it was fine. Watch the prequels if you want bad acting lmao
Acting wasnt bad - the plot contrivances and lack of dialogue were bad.
Part of me is hoping that they chopped up episodes 7 and 8 after RSs death (and that thats the reason for them being so lacking) and that theres more RS footage which is going into S2.
@@DavidWalker1987 not to mention the dialogue was too earth 2023 if you know what I mean
😂😂😂😂 Cowboy Dave ripping of LOTR cause he is creatively backrupt! The force is female!
Baylon's parting words to Shin "impatience to victory...." was a quote from King Louis XIV aka The Sun King
What if Spider-Man 2099 was in Star Wars prequels cross over
The episodes in Clone Wars with the Ones are my absolute favourite.
This show is 100% thrash. I am a huge star wars fan, And this director has done Ahsoka dirty and my man Thrawn. I forced myself to watch this. After wating the animated series than watching this top tier thrash. I was disgusted. The shills will think this is good. But they are delusional. Noticed that star wars theory doesnt high light the bs in this show at all. As if he is oblivious to the bs thats going on with this thrash show. This to me is a major red flag. Die hard star wars fans have broke down every single nonsense in this show with evidences. But yet star wars theory is dead silent on this. This disgusting. Unsubscribed. I was a longitme subscriber. I feel let down by him. I called him out plenty of times on his humble bragging and his delusional takes.
And they are all here on the same planet... yuuuuuum.
Good luck.
This no longer Star Wars. This is now a ripoff of TLOR.
I pointed this out on heavy spoilers and screen rant to which none of them mention the similarities of these to glistening peaks
I think the best thing Disney can do about rays death is reach out to his family and see what they think the best option is.
R.I.P Ray Stevenson
About the pool. It just occurerd to me that Odin gained (some of) his knowledge from a well where the head of Mimir was. Now this wouldn't link to Star Wars, BUT since Baylan (and Shin) got their names from Norse myths, _maybe_ the mountain is the well/pool that the mother drank from? This would actually make sense, if Baylan wanted that kind of knowledge.
When the son moves he says "The Future can be changed...."
Besides the Owl, we do see the Bat in episode 6 when Baylan is talking to Shin there is clearly a large Bat-like thing in the background
One solution to handle Ray's death is to have Baylan recast and the character wear a mask due to injuries sustained offscreen in his quest to find the mortis gods.
I did not notice that the statue was the father! Wild. Very interesting.
They might have cut Baylans scenes out of the finale so that they could use it for season two since he’s passed and a huge fan favorite that way they don’t have to recast him
You’re awesome bro! Thanks for all the vids and please keep them coming🙏🏾 Respect
I Noticed during Baylan's Final Scene the camera purposely framed Baylan's Face with the Statue of the Father
Bro it was Anakin who perform the ritual to transfer the life of the daughter into Ahsoka so in reality Anakin was who save n brought her back to life as his Chosen 💯
“No one is ever really gone”
Thank you, Master Luke
A movie about Baylan exploring that thank u very much!
those were some good insights!! you earn a sub!!!
Sam f'ing Witwer playing the son would truly be incredible.
You're right, it's probably the son, but I think he's going to deceive, or try to deceive Baylan.
The other theory I have is that Baylan is going to meet Anakin there, if he is the father.
Side note... I wonder how much a "Help Dave buy Star Wars" go fund me page would make...
Resubbed now that I've watched the season finale!
What an episode!
The line on the sons face is on both sides, take a closer look
I would like to point out the gesture of the father. He is pointing towards the entrance to the world between worlds in Rebels. Loth wolves then form a gate for ezra to pass through.
Now, Hati and Skoll are both wolves, so i believe the father is pointing towards a nexus where a gate for sabine and ahsoka can be opened, and now shin and baylan will kind of open the gate, like they did in the mural
