for me personally biggest problem with kat is her ability to pick a bunch of random items and still do massive damage, except hey, now she is also unkillable, have fun lol
yeah its really stupid, she can pick anything with any effect the player likes or prefers and still do dmg, not even having to regard item synchs - i literally started otping shaco sup with a 60% winrate just to ruin kata players days lmao
Low ELO kat main here, the random item spam is starting to become a universal problem, people like lb and veigar are able to one shot with autos just by building statikk shiv. Beside that I do understand the grief of unkillable tank Katarina builds, these builds although seem unbeatable are easy to shut down with proper communication with your team but that rarely happens in low ELO. You need just 1 good CC lockdown and a carry with high penetration or true damage and she will die, if your team only has skillshot CC abilities even if she dashes onto a dagger there is about a 3 scaling to 0 second buffer before being able to E again it becomes 0 at around lv 16 simply bc it scales off of level, during that time, or during her ult you can reliably CC her, she also doesn't deal as much damage as other traditional AP and AD builds. Dealing with her split AP/AD identity is pretty much the same, but you just pray your mid doesn't feed, and pings when missing, also light jg help will shut her down and she will be down farm and KP and useless. Naturally she will play cleanup, most champs tho are kind of broken so killing an underfed kat on a randomly selected champ isn't that hard. If she is still a nightmare to deal with go supp and pick janna, janna is probably the biggest f you to Katarina bc her ult stops kats resets, forcing her out of a dagger pickup or out of ult and also thrusting her towards or away from your team means she gets exploded or has to retry respectively.
@@neeko6289the problem with Veigar and Lb is statikk, not the champion itself. On the other side, Katarina can literally build ANYTHING and one shot you while having like 4k hp
@@neeko6289 statikk is not a random item build tho, its a very logical choice. an ap scaling item with good damage with ap items and amazing wave clear, letting early roams happen thanks to wave push in early game and complimenting their burst damage playstyle in late game. its the exact opposite of random, its a synergy item that makes sense even if the raw stats dont benefit them.
in comparison, katarina can build full ap, full ad, lethality, tank, bruiser, % damage, crit, on hit, utility. she can build literally any item and get value out of it. that combined with split damage makes itemizing against her a fucking seance session. meanwhile, in neutral lane phase shes completely ungankable until she chooses to use cooldowns on engaging
@@neeko6289 imo no champion should be allow to do what kat does. "Just cc her" is not a valid counterplay either, literally every champion in the roster gets "countered" by cc.
Just move Akshan W's revive passive to the ultimate when Akshan hits and scores a kill or kill assist on the Scoundrel with Ult projectiles. Instantly more tolerable to play against.

Aatrox is worse in a way. He is a tanky, high damage bruiser that you need to burn a lot for to kill the first time and have to kill immediately again 1 second later. When akshan revives people, you still get the gold, it takes a long time for people to get back in the fight and these can include squishy targets. Yeah aatrox revive is only around himself but as a bruiser he plays selfishly anyway.

@@phoenixflamegames1try playing one aram game against a decent Akshan, and you'll see why his passive is such a huge problem. You can do massive plays, get 3 or even 4 kills with an amazing ult for instance, but if Akshan managed to auto you and you died, whoops! All that hard work did not matter in the slightest, restart the team fight.
Real problem with Katarina is that she can build whatever she wants and still do huge amounts of damage
I play a lot of Katarina and I LOVE being able to build pretty much anything. It adds a lot of variety to the champion, with each build requiring some changes in playstyle it also pushes the skill ceiling further up. As long as the intended build is the best (and it is), I don't see the problem with that. She deals mostly magic damage whatever she builds.
The only issue is when tank builds are good, but riot doesn't seem to tolerate those for long.

What I dislike most about Katarina is her mains. She can build tank so she doesn't die ever but still one shot everyone by mashing their faces on their keyboard and Katarina mains will still give you a 4 hour collège lecture on how "Um actually she's very weak right now!!!"
Another aspect of Akshan that's incredibly frustrating is just his ability to straight up win trades even when you successfully gap-close onto him. His double-hit passive and shield allows him to win a lot of trades or all-ins despite getting caught, on a ranged character that already has an escape. There are a lot of toplaners that feel shit to play against depending on the champion you play and how they matchup against the enemy champion, but Akshan just feels consistently shit to play against. To the point where I'd rather have to play against Illaoi than Akshan, and I hate Illaoi with a passion.
But he isn’t primarily a top laner. Every ranged character with mobility feels shit to fight against in top.
Why the illaoi hate. She is the only one i know how to play in top lane XD

Almost all characters that abuse on hit effects upset me. There's just nothing fun about having a bel veth or yi bitting you 3 times and doing 1500 worth of item damage but their entire kit only did like 700
When I played this game Yi just pissed me off. Because yes, you could cc him, lock him down, and burst him but... If you fluffed *once* he would mindlessly murder your whole team, then press one button to negate anything about to hit him and another single button to cancel any followup or damage he did take. Pure brainless design and function xD
I think you missed the current main problem with Kata: she can build anything. The AD build with Randuin's and Titanic is especially broken if ahead.
The worst thing about Katarina is her E. Its a basic ability that works almost like flash, but has damage, longer range, on hit effects and reset if she picks up a dagger which she can have 2 ( one with Q and one with W ) and killing someone.
How do we rework Kats e? The bigger solution here is just removing onhit interaction and buffing base dmg
Maybe make her E a targeted dash (can't dash without ally, enemy or dagger nearby) that can cross terrain. Also make her ult need to have vision on enemy to hit?
If this series keeps up, I feel almost every champ will appear.
Maybe except Braum, because who can truly hate him

For me, the worst thing about Kat might be how Riot randomly decided she should be the best onhit champ in the game. Now she regularly ends games with 10.000+ Damage on Nashors and Botrk respectively while getting way to tanky for how mobile she is with Sunderer and Titanic Hydra.
i still wonder why they made her ult so overloaded. good AD and AP ratios, can hit three enemies at once over a wide radius, and gets on-hit effects and grievous wounds just for good measure. pair it with a passive that punishes you for having a bad team, and it seems like they WANTED her to be frustrating to play against
The largest problems I have with Kat as a Vel'koz main are
1. She is so hard to follow it feels like it's just flat out not possible for me to hit her. To me it feels like her blink has no telegraph it just happens, she just appears behind you and kills everyone
2. Assassins are supposed to either take out multiple low health targets, or kill a single high priority target like the adc. But Katarina does neither she just kills everyone with the speed of an assassin.
And now she has about 3-4k health while still dealing similar damage

@@shieldgenerator7 her Q dagger has a long enough delay to just walk into the opposite direction into her. She than can either E her dagger to achieve nothing or E on you to... Auto attack and have E on CD. If she throws W (which also takes time to land) just walk away from it too. Its literally that simple. She can Jump to where the daggers will Land earlier but you can easily avoid the "pick up" damage. I have played this match up so often

My biggest concern about Katarina is how free all her dashes are. It’s annoying as hell because no matter what you do, she can build whatever she wants and just dash everywhere with little to no consequences. Whenever you think you caught her out, you didn’t, and her builds let her be too tanky to even kill her. They need to give her a damn rework.
A simple scaling adjustment should be fine I think, I don't understand why she has so many mixed ratios but in order for those builds to work she has both high based damage and high scaling. Idk the numbers barely even touched the champ all these years and frankly I never cared about her but she is truly annoying to play against
I can't believe nobody brings up the one issue Kat has had since day one, and that's the fact that she doesn't even use any fucking mana.
Okay, let her stay a permadashing, scrap-eating, pentakilling, build-anything ubercarry, at LEAST give her some fucking resource she has to play around in lane. Manaless champions STILL existing in this game is just a mind boggling concept to me. It's real fucking fair being immobile and having to constantly watch your resource bar just to keep your farm up while your opponent can spam gap-closing abilities to bully you off the lane entirely with zero care or management required.
A big reason for that feeling is the range of her dash, I think. The range on it is actually quite insane compared to other dashes in league.
In addition to that, she got that really unnecessary mechanic that she can choose the point where she'll end up after a dash. That makes her far harder to counterplay with timed skillshots.
Akali and Sylas Can best her well actually and even out pace her however Kay had a better wave clear and Can out roam but you can beat her 1 on 1
i think it's fair enough because shes countered by basically every mid laner thats not a control mage
Rengar mains' toxicity comes from frustration. Ever since Rengar got reworked into the current version, he lost a lot of his reliability, and is very buggy. Many games feel like coinflips, and it's very easy to get frustrated on your team, when you feel like this can be a match deciding coinflip, and they don't follow your call.
definitely think katarina's current state is sorry and sad.
im a kata main, she's broken. but only when you build AD. AD items are better than ap items in every single way you can think of, to the point that kata buys Divine Sunderer and BotRK then goes full tank, maybe titanic and she's melting everyone, healing and cant be burst or locked down.
I really hope they just remove rabadon and fix AP scaling numbers so mages can have varied/interesting builds and not be forced to buy 3600g rabadon, luden/liandry + shadowflame every. single. game. while ad champs get a buffet of DMG, Defence, Healing, CDR and Lethality/pen on every item..
Remember when riot said they were going to rework mage items during MSI patch??? So ridiculous that they haven't given us any updates on such a crucial change
honestly yeah I completely agree rework ap items. however kat shouldnt even be able to build those items when she was meant to build ap and is able to just get rid of her problems as a squishy assassin by going bruiser or tank

@@chummyfudge8988 riot has no idea what theyre doing with Kata. if they remove her on-hit or ad scalings she loses her hybrid identity and i dont think theyd compensate enough with AP buffs (they though 5% more ap ratio on Dagger would fix divine sunderer build) the problem is the VAST difference in power upon completing an AD mythic that also gives you 400 hp cos why not, %hybrid pen, which kata loves, max health spellblade damage + healing... vs, a small dash and some chip dmg from rocket belt, or a borderline useless on kat riftmaker passive.
How can I, Draven, be hated? I own, and run the place. It is my league.

Katarina can build ultimate bravery and still outdamage/outtank a burstmage while blinking everywhere to outmanuver other assassins. They either need to make every character have just as good hybrid scaling or rework her cause it is just blatantly breaking the game.
Just dont walk on her dagger and she cant do anything. But that would require thinking and adapting to the matchup

What you said about Draven mains getting tilted reminds me of a game I had a few weeks back.
I was playing Jungle. Can't remember what Champion, but my team's Draven wanted to invade the enemy Blue Buff. The Support, Mid-Laner, and I refused to do that and remained where we were at Red Buff, but Draven just waltzed into the enemy Jungle anyways, and died five seconds later to the four Champions that were hiding in the bushes.
After that, Draven flamed for a bit and quit the game (he had the gall to blame me for letting him die, because of my refusal to invade). I can't remember if we somehow won the match or not.
What I do remember though, is getting a message saying that Draven was penalized for the reports my team made after the game was over.
My issue with camille stems from my issue with all bruisers and assassins. And its that riot for the last 7 years has BLATANTLY favored them over every other class in the game.
Like camille for example, she has a cho'gath ult on her q, everyone points that out. But what no one wants to point out is that her e is effectively tristana's entire kit in 1 ability.
Think about it. Tristana has a range extension, an as steroid, a jump, a damaging ability, and a hard cc.
Camilles e alone does all of that.

The problem with Camille, in my opinion, is how annoying her passive proc is. It's not like Bone plating where you can strategically remove it before engages, it'll only proc when she goes in which is why it's so frustrating to lane against her. It's like whelp she nuked me with Q, can't even look to trade back because of her passive and she can use W slow to move out of range once shield runs out.
Not like any of the older toplaners even get the chance to hit her with the fat movespeed she gets from Q.
I love Rengars kit. High skill ceiling and to me he is the face of the jungle. No I do not main him.
The issue is- he has no way to get out reliably after jumping in… so that crazy heal he has is justified. He can only engage, not disengage.
If people are complaining about rengar… they weren’t around for OG rengar who would one shot you in less than half of a second.
I also like that he can build bruiser. I want more characters to be able to flex into different playstyles and builds.

Totally agreed. I main him and I really feel like people hate on him just because of his past. But out no time into thinking about the amount of effort it requires to pull him off and how un reliable he is
Akshan's revive passive would fit a lot better on a support imo. Like, compare it with Renata W, or other infinite value abilities like Taric R or Zilean R. Sure they can be annoying, but the fact they're tied to a support who doesn't have a ton of pressure on their own keeps them from feeling like absolute bullshit.
As for Katarina, well, as a Veigar main I obviously hate her guts. But also, as someone who wants to enjoy playing Corki, it feels like she gets everything that he could ever dream of: oh-hit scaling and attack speed scaling so she can (ab)use marksman items, ad scaling and wants to go in so she can (ab)use bruiser items - oh and actual ap scalings so she can use mage items. Basically Katarina gets full value of a lot of items that it feels like Corki can only ever get half value out of, plus so many more.
Katarina's many problems include but aren't limited to: Being able to build every item in the game effectively, being quite literally the most mobile champion in the game which gets worse when they are blinks and not dashes, and also being manaless so she can just spam daggers in lane when you pick a lane counter until she can roam bot and get a triple kill just by existing. If Yone wasn't such an abomination Kat would be my perma ban (As it was before the Yone release).
Pyke is my most-played support, and I love going Draven-Pyke with a duo, but I despise it in SoloQ. I have (in mid-Masters elo NA) only encountered 1 Draven who would actually listen to my shotcalling. Every other Draven I've had perma-shoved the wave and never let it bounce or freeze, despite my pings, and when the enemy jungle shows up they just type "gg jg diff". Awesome champion, horrible players.
As an ARAM player, I've absolutely hated Kat since people started building AD/Tank on her. She's got all the same problems you've mentioned, but now with tank shred and being harder to kill with being super slippery.
Its quite interesting how many champs here have a lot of dashes and can just say "see yah" when danger comes close and even if they mesdef up they can just try again in 7 seconds wich is insane
The worst Katarina experience for me is the competence of my teammates. When i face a Katarina, i play really careful and try my best to get the advantage and then she roams to the botlane, i even notify my botlane with pings and they stay in the front and die to her, just to flame me afterwards because they died
True, Katarina needs to be handeled by 5 Guys. If one guy Messes up and lets her reset you are basically screwed. But if everybody knows what they are doing kata is so easy to deal with its laughable
Another problem with Akshan is that you can't counter his ganks with wards because he becomes permanently invisible. And Katarina is disgusting mainly because of his infinite teleports. It's almost impossible to pin her down.
Im surprised you didn’t mention that a saying for adcs is to treat every brush as if theres a rengar in it, wether or not hes in the game. Which obviously references his gameplay specifically but also just how feared he is as a champ

Imo the biggest problem with kata isnt that she does insane damage or even a that she can basically build any combination of items and unkillable.its that she literally has infinite blinks.not only it gets reset by her passive but also after maxing e dashing to a dagger basically completely resets it.if it reseted maybe 70 or 80% of its cd it would be better.or at least if shehad mana and e had a high cost so she couldnt completely spam it.imo if you fix that problem even thos kata will still be annoying she will be way more manageable

what really grinds my gears with rengar, is his zero counterplay kit.
stun him in his ult, he doesnt care because the invis wont break.
interrupt his passive dash, he can jump straight again.
try to burst him, he'll just heal back up.

I believe one of the things that make Katarina so hated is how incoherent her builds can be. She can just go tank, bruiser items, ad and ap hybrid and still oneshot and that feels really wrong

Not Gonna lie. I've been recently playing a lot of Rengar Top and at times it feels like a 50/50 bet. I'm not good at all with him (yet), but indeed is a very volatile pick that can Either Carry or Drag down the Team
Hate that they gave cat resets on top of resets , she used to have 1 jump and when she failed to get a kill she was comitted , now she can just jump in and out with 3 jumps without any kills or assists!

Tbh, Remgar being double AA insta kill champ while having his mains constantly delude everyone else that it's "high skill champion" is more aggravating.
Like, yey, you did not miss 2 unmissible auto attacks for 2 k dmg, we arr so proud of you, now sit at the kitty table while other champions use entire combos or several other game senses to achieve the same.

its the fact she can build literally anything and itll work. AP, AD, On Hit, Bruiser, Tanky, it doesnt matter to her specifically.

Played a game against an akshan who was 2 minutes late to a fight, ulted from max distance and hit ONE projectile, didn't even kill them and revived half the team.
Not to mention all the other free bullshit they crammed into his kit for free
I feels that if Akshan’s W passive reduced the revive timer by a set amount based on level it’d be a decent way to keep that aspect of the character without it being as annoying
My most hated champion will always be Kindred: either she smurfs on the enemy team, or she's on my team and her ult throws the lead we spent 30 minutes creating. Also they just generally do some stupid invade strategies and as someone that plays a lot of champs with AoE damage her R is a liability no matter the team

Me old timer : well the second step after watching this is looking at r/camillemain last time was a blast and this time they probably do some unhinged shit again.
OMG is Katarina a war criminal in low elo(my homeground). All the other champions mentioned here get countered for their own 'main character syndrome' and trying to 1v9. Katarina is the only one who can actually get into a 1v9, and get out of it alive. Doesn't auto attack, doesn't use skillshots, just point and click dashes all around, then presses R. Also, she does damage no matter what she builds, AP, AD, or even HP. She's a literal nightmare in low elo, one that actually cannot be countered once she roams and gets kills. Oh, and kills she will definitely get if she roams. Makes laning against here even more malding. Playing Janna seems to give me the best time against her, but that also isn't enough when the rest of the team have no coordination.
Maybe its because Im a Wild Rift player and dont have to deal with this burden you call mythic items, but i dont dislike dislike Draven and Akshan. Draven may be a "cup of greed" champion, but at least his only played by one-tricks, which for me places him above MasterYi, Jinxs, and Kassadin. As for Akshan, he is a kitting skirmisher like Lilia or Kalista. This champions need team ultility to not be a burden to their team.
The main reason I hate Kat is the same reason I hate Yi: if they last pick it when your team drafted no cc, you better dodge or pray to the gods of internet that they dc. My dog could carry with this champs against a comp with no cc
Also, I'm scared for part 6 because you mentioned BelVeth and she's my baby so please roast her with caution :c (pro tip vs BelVeth, if she's not ahead she's useless without true form. You gotta treat her like Master Yi. First priority target 100% of the time. If you can prevent her from getting form, she's legit a melee minion. If she gets it though, I would say run, but she's gonna catch you no matter what)

well she isn't the easiest champ to master tbf unless she is she op for some reason you really need to put time on her in order to master her and win most of your games, same thing could be said about riven, it depends on your own capabilities too! Not everyone can master what they want without putting a lot of effort, there are exceptions of course but they are not many

Akshan is literally the kind of playable character that's taboo in gaming. If anyone has ever played Overwatch for a long time, then they must at least be aware of the time Mercy was meta because of her ultimate which at that time could and had the potential to revive her entire team with it being difficult to stop to her from quickly dashing/flying in and doing so. What this did was completely take away the advantage the winning team had from wiping out most of their opponents thus resetting the fight making things more of a coinflip. Akshan's passive, the mass-revive, is a lesser version of Mercy's old ultimate, but is equal to it in a sense that it alone has the potential to define a meta. If Riot only allowed him to revive a singular person at a time or didn't give him this ability, I myself, among a few others, might be more inclined to let people play the game with the character aka show some leniency. But as it stands now, I'm not going to ever let any opponent that picks Akshan play the game at all.
I HATE Rengar, particularly when people play him top lane. it's super dumb cheese because you literally can't be in lane without being in range for him to jump on you from the bush and all he does is jump then run straight back to the bush, then repeat indefinitely. I also hate it when the rengar top is on my team because they go out of their way to try to steal every kill, or int the entire game to try to keep me from being able to carry.
Hope this series eventually covers them all, I hate them all.
Katarina's shunpo is just too big of a gap closer, she can get on the midlane first tower from the nearest base inhibitor in less than 1 sec if there's a wave. She's deceptively mobile, even tho she's known for her mobility.
Most mobility abilities are just useless against her if she know how to use her cd reset

Katarina is annoying for all the reasons you said, but the fact that she applied on-hit damage has broken her. Bork is her best friend so now she can do % damage on top of everything else. It's honestly so gross.

I absolutely agree with the akshan w passive that it is bullshit, but, as an akshan main i can say that almost no akshan playert plays him for the w passive. People play him because he is one of the most fun champos in the game because of his hook, boomerang and passive

Upon watching the 4th edition of this wonderful concept, I was wondering... so what is the least hated champions in league? And Why? I understand it will likely be champions with good kits and well designed abilities that dont make them feel too strong or too weak.. but curious if there is a "least hated" and if its also related to popularity. Like the least hated champion that is played the most... who is that?
Bard, Ekko and Jhin come to my Mind, they came out when LoL was at its best. Super nice Champions that are cool to play and rarely hated on

I agree though... Bard, not much bad has come to my attention on that one for sure. Nobody really feels super bad playing against it, tho... depending on the adc, some might hate playing with them on the team hahaha. Good suggestions overall, I think you are probably right on those being top contestants for the spot of least hated

Hate Akshan for the simple reason that his kit is by far the most overloaded in the game. He literally has everything but CC, untargetability, and true damage built into his kit. MS Boost, resetting dash, revive, on hit, crit, lifesteal, double auto, shield, perma invis, % hp damage, three hit bonus damage passive that procs on literally every damage source he does, an extending range ability that does two bouts of damage. It's b.s. how many tools they gave him.

As someone who plays both league and dota, it's so funny to hear stuff like "akshan w passive is breaking the competitive integrity of the game" when I know for a fact a game can have an insane amount of mind-bending mechanics and still be balanced.
As a kat main all I really want is for riot to remove her on-hit on e and ult and then compensate buff her passive ap scaling, and ONLY her passive ap scaling, her dagger management and placement is the best way to express skill and mastery with her, and that should be rewarded
Everyone's prob with kat seems to be her item build and how kat can take advantage of that 1 dumb player in your team in a teamfight and just get resets after resets.

what irritates me the most about rengar is riots undesire to fix him
he could have a bonus ad scaling on his healimg to make it around 25% early game and up to 60% in the late game, that way he only reaches around 50% with bruiser builds in the late game, encouraging assasin builds and eliminating rengar top issue healing 100% of received damage at lvl 2 for no reason, theres no assasin, no bruiser and no champ that can do that (the same could be done do the empowered w damage to encourage assasin playstyle and not dumb bruiser cleansing healing for no reason playstyle)

The revive passive is awful for sure, I mostly hate Akshan bc he’s like 5 champs in a trench coat it’s such an overloaded kit, twitch stealth, master yi double auto, sivir boomerang but better, camille slingshot. It’s so ridiculous

I wouldn't dislike Akshan so much if he didn't have his revive skill. I do not think this ability should be in a game like League. Reviving 2 or 3 champions literaly 2 seconds after they died is an insane game changer. It never allows you to gain momentum or have the advantage. I don't see Akshan a lot in my elo but when i do....its usually a good player.
I still to this day have no clue why Riot thinks it's ok that Camille converts sheen type effects to true damage.
