- All the power for thrash metal and more. We took Kerry King's JCM800 2203KK out of the museum and cranked it up. Featuring KT88 valves and a unique 'Beast Mode' channel with noise gate. The 2203KK is all about serious drive tone.

BRING THIS ONE BACK. I was lucky enough to play it in person, and it sounded PHENOMENAL. Bring it the fuck back.
BRING IT BACK, MARSHALL. Include a fx loop.
"Marshall is Marshall". I am the Proud owner of this specific Amp JCM 2203KK in Pakistan
I really hope Marshall is planning on reissuing some of these amps and not just rubbing it all in our faces. I'd buy the RR JMP, just sayin.
My very same thought. Why video showcase amps that have not been in production for years? I'm sure these artists or their estates would love to get quarterly royalty checks, like Vai did with Carvin for 30 years. Marshall limiting to only 650 pieces and then ceasing prodcution is a joke. Sure, make a few with something unique, then build and sell a standard model for the mere mortals.
I love Marshalls, and the foundational tone so may derivatives are based on. But, I hope the executive ranks at Marshall have been cleaned out of the idiots who decided they would let other brands rapidly erode their market share because Marshall focused on kid's toys and seemingly ceasing R&D. I have 6 hand wired heads by 3 brands. All based on Marshall circuits, and none of them are Marshalls. About to add a 4th brand that starts with a "B". Get it together Marshall, and manufacture the products the men want.
@@ericventers you know, I never got why Marshall would not capitalize on the popularity of some of their signature artists. On the RR JMP, they probably could sell 10,000 units easily.
@@ericventers because if they actually MADE amps, they’d lose their mystique.
I guarantee if they came back out with those amps just for you you would never buy one....
Best amp I've ever owned, a beast! 🤘
cope 💩
Can you not just make more of these???
🤣…. I know, right?
Yeah
Maybe someone should start a petition and somehow send it to Marshall and Kerry King.
The Beast mode rivals Engl and Peavey with how savage it sounds, looking to get one of these one day.
Back in around 2006 I got to play 1 of these through a full stack in a small iso room at a local mom and pop music store, I had only been playing a few months, maybe a year idr the exact date I was in that store, All I know is they handed me a guitar and dialed it in as a I played a little riff. Right when I think it cant get any better they turn on the beast switch and it blew me away. They made a teenager happy that day but the price tag did not lol, If it came in a 2 channel version id buy it today.
If it had an FX loop it would be an ideal amp
you need to bring this back, or a jcm800 with a gate and boost built in
BRING THIS ONE BACK. Please!
Got mine years ago and brought it all the way from Europe to Morocco, worth the effort and pricetag ! The neighbours love Slayer and Metal...in spite of their will !!
*neighbors
If you're from Morocco, and not Britain, then use Modern English :'D
Also don't put spaces between the end of the sentence and the punctuation. Good lord....
@@dildojizzbaggins6969 Hey, don't get mad ))) English isn't my mother tongue, and I don't care if you approve or not what I have written a year ago, just remember that being monolingual doesn't give you the right to act as a smartass )))
Bring all these great sig models back!
Please make more of them . !
I really like the sound of this one
I love how you can create riffs that sound similar to songs the artist would play. Always good playing here!
one of them sounds like wherever i may roam
@@michaelgrahamwongacutemadness oooooooooooh good call 🤘
@@Twobarpsi It was probably supposed to be a Slayer riff; if they’re showing this amp, I hope that means that they start building it again for next year with improvements such as a foot-switchable effects loop and beast mode though what I really hated about this amp were one of the power tubes blowing after less than a year of purchasing it.
@@michaelgrahamwongacutemadness it's definitely a rocking amp! Tubes are tubes, and blow for no reason sometimes.
@@Twobarpsi I was told to replace all of the tubes which I did for two of them converting it to 50W so I could make more money from the resale, but my second-generation EVH 50W never had any problems and I sold that because I wanted a less-processed tone; I heard that Peavey tube amps are more reliable too.
They are releasing mini versions of all these amps. Like the studio classics.
I sure hope so!!!!
@@SovereignKing it is now! 😂
I emailed Marshall to ask them. Then I said if it isn't happening think of all the money you could make 🤣🤣🤣
My DSL can nail this with a tube screamer pimp slappin it right in the face.
I’m the proud owner of the first Edition. Great Amp!
Yall maybe should consider making this amp again. Think of the potential amount of money you could get. Alot of people still want to get their hands on this masterpiece of an amp.
Nothing beats a Marshall!!
Lots of things do. Marshall is the Apple of guitar amps
@@redacted5035 Marshall is 100% Dell.
Showcasing amps that we can no longer buy new….thanks
I can say that im fortunate enough to own one of these. It really has balls
Bought mine brand new when they were discontinued and guitar center was blowing them out for $1200. Shoulda bought two of them. Still my favorite stock Marshall I own.
Bring it back!!! and maybe do a 20 watt version!!
Bring back all these signature models, especially the YJM100
Dont forget the Randy Rhoads signature too!
some of your slayer inspired riffs sound like Bolt Thrower. Thumbs up
I own this incredible KILLER 800 bought new for $1100 THE BEAST
Lucky score
That’s the sound I wanna hear.
🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽
I think Mode Four was very good amp, it is shame it is not made anymore :(
if you want get valve sound from it you won't get but if you want to get some crazy sound from it then that' s it!!!
Shame it doesn't have an FX loop
Please bring this amp back into production
Everytime I play now I’m always super self conscious about sounding like a guy demoing an amp on UA-cam lmao
Reissue these please.
Is this an archive series, or is it just to taunt us that never had the chance to buy these when they were available?
Plot twist: Marshall is teaming up with Kemper to release all signature amp packs. Lmao.
Dude out of the videos you have done this amp sounds best . It suits you and suits the way you are recording these videos . More treble to cut like them
Brutal 🤘🎸
Bring it back in 20 WATT 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
This amp is brutally loud and lacks an effects loop.
It is the perfect candidate for a load box with an effects loop like the Fryette Power Station
I want this in hand wired version and with effect loop. Please.
I love mine.
I wonder what cab that is.
Which cab is this and loaded with what speakers??🤘🤘
I think its a marshall mode four cabinet. That is what kerry uses
Why make a video about it and then not make it anymore?
Too bad this was discontinued. I own the Softube plugin and it's pretty cool but the real deal is even cooler.
does anybody know if kerry put the eq pedal in the front of the marshall or the fx loop?
Is it hand wired?
I feel as if noise gates should be standard on high gain modern amps these days
this is what high gain marshall supposed to sound like.....
This was a clone of one of his JCM800s, but not a clone of his best one.
bed it is not made anymore :(
Story time is fun and all, but at least have the decency to send some of the amps recently featured from your museum to Softube for modeling, like you guys did with this one. You get money, we get amps you aren't going to rerelease anyway. Everybody wins.
Not as high gain as I would have thought
That's a good thing, you don't need too much gain
@@KevsanBamse and contrary to some beliefs, JCM800s don't have balls to the walls amount of gain. A lot of guitarists used EQs, boosts, and ODs to drive the JCM800 harder to get more saturation out of the amp.
Now that's what a good Marshall sounds like.
A noise gate? It's not slayer without feedback
