I think if he did go into the hyperbolic time chamber he might have had 2 weeks of time in the 1 hour if not mistaken before the tournament took place. The others might also have gotten there potential unleashed.
Ultimate Gohan is just Toriyama apologizing for changing direction on Gohan being the main character/strongest I don't think it will ever be anything more than that.
@Madu Abeykoon Toriyama never wanted Gohan to be the main character, he wanted to end the series after the Frieza saga. He only made Gohan the strongest when he was forced to keep writing.
I've always seen Ultimate as a limit breaker you can't use it if you don't train- and temper your body and mind- it is the moment you reach enlightenment and have full control of your potential and all limits crumble before you- I'd say he's stronger in this form than he would be in Blue
Definitely, I totally agree. If he ever did get SSB, that would improve Ultimate by default so he’d probably be relying on that (not to mention Ultimate would still be more efficient). It’s truly a busted form lol
@@SaladSaiyan I have to kind of disagree on the whole Humans getting the least benefit thing, cause it has been shown that humans have much more growing potential than Saiyans and on par or more than Halsys(Half Saiyans),Tien and the gang got to 2000 and 4000 from 200 or 300 and this was the 1/3 amount of time goku spent with kami,Humans also have a tendency to be much more creative than saiyans, even hybrids(Solar Flare and the 100 times version,Destructo Disc,Tri Beam, flip even the Androids if you stretch)i mean Krillin managed to outsmart GOHAN for flips sake, not overpower but OUTSMART,and if they have only a tentnth of their strength,Saiyans are done, and i have a headcanon that there's a god form for every race so there's that and i wouldn't exactly think it's not a thing considering it's all about Ki control. I think that humans probably get a lot more if both they and saiyans have god forms and on par with or a little bit less than half saiyans.
I definitely don't think Old Kaioshin unlocked all of Gohan's potential, just the incredible amount that he already possessed at this point in his life. To further back this up, take the Namek Saga for example. When Grand Elder Guru unlocked Gohan's potential, it clearly wasn't all of it but only the amount that Guru himself was able to unleash. Was Gohan limited to only using the power Guru had unlocked for him? Nope. He went on to becoming a Super Saiyan and later a Super Saiyan 2, surpassing his father in that brief moment in the Cell Games. Goku has commented time and time again that he knew Gohan would always outclass him in power alone, ever since he saw Gohan tackle Raditz during their fight with him. Lastly, potential unlocking is a fairly common thing in Dragon Ball. Even Goku had his potential unlocked by the Super Divine Water by Korin in the King Piccolo Saga, which pushed him past his previously known limits.
Side note, 4:57 was a typo, Goten and Cabba’s powers should be switched. Also another big disclaimer, those numbers are all placeholders for example purposes. Apologies for that typo though
Ultimate form+Gohan's potential+god ki is literally the best form. Both whis and elder kàyohshin stated that the transformation are useless AND the god ki expresses his true strenght if it is totally concetrated in BASE.
I honestly think that Ultimate should've never been made into a transformation, just another potential unlock where Gohan doesn't need to use Super Saiyan forms anymore.
@Spy-D not really elder kai even stated that it wasn't a transformation ones he power up to it the first time it became his base power super just love to retcon
@Spy-D If Gohan can utilize all of his power without transforming into Super Saiyan forms, then he is already in his base form. Potential Unleashed is simply that: unleashing all of your potential to be used in base. It's not a transformation, it simply bypasses the need for them, at least for mortal ki.
@Spy-D The way i always saw 'Ultimate' was "SSJ3 Gohan + the extra hidden angry power he had yet to learn to control, available now in his 'Base' form. After all, the super saiyan power is there all along, just not tapped into yet, so the 'Ultimate' Brings out all gohans power including SSJ3. This would make him being stronger than SSJ3 goku make sense, because gohans untapped true power is greater.
@Spy-D It wasn't "always a transformation". "Ultimate" became a "transformation" in Super because Super's writing sucks. They even made Ultra Instinct like a transformation for Goku, even though Whis described it as a technique. Old Kaioshin never ever described Gohan's power as a transformation. He said that Gohan can now use all of his power because he no longer needs to transform in order to access all of it.
Agreed! Hopefully we get more of them. Lots of stuff to explore or talk about like this; besides, it helps to break up the constant What-If content and avoid burnout.
Gohan didn’t train with Piccolo for a year. In the anime he only trained with Piccolo briefly after RoF. In episode 88 of Super both Piccolo and Goku were unsure of Gohan’s fighting abilities for the ToP, meaning Gohan only began training with Piccolo a day before the tournament. In the manga, Gohan does train consistently after RoF.
I could be wrong but Gohan tells goku that piccolos been retraining him for a little bit. Not sure if it’s one year but he’s been training more than one day to retain his potential unleashed
@@marktoler3277 That was in episode 30. Gohan had a brief training session with Piccolo to go back over the basics. However after that, it’s implied that Gohan hasn’t kept up with much training, even with Piccolo. Before Gohan’s serious training in 88, Piccolo asks Goku if Gohan is in fighting shape for the ToP. If Gohan had been training consistently for a year, Piccolo wouldn’t need to ask Goku about his power.
@@chewezx1767 in episode 77 piccolo states that he’s gonna get Gohan in shape for the ToP to goku. Now I’m not sure how long passes since that episode and episode 88 with out rewatching it all but i think it’s more than one day.
@@marktoler3277 Gohan hasn’t trained for at least 9 months to a year, because Bulma was pregnant with Bulla by the time Gohan began to train again. Piccolo also called Gohan’s body “dull and neglected” right before their training session for the ToP.
You see I never knew this ab the manga. That doesn’t make me as annoyed now hearing he swapped hands with kefla. If hes been training since RoF then I’d imagine his potential has been on a constant rise. I had assumed it was the same in the anime that he trained last minute and bam he is able to fight kefla.
I always call it the Ultimate state because that seems the most accurate. It's just a power up that can't be accessed without the proper mind and trained body. When reunlocking it in the Super anime, he simply reverted back to base form as he no longer needed to transform for the higher power.
@@TheUnseenPath In the _Dragon Ball Super_ TV series, Gohan is shown re-unlocking his Ultimate form during his training with Piccolo as well as during his fight with Gamma 1 in _Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero._ He still has it in the sense that he doesn't have to undergo Elder Kaiōshin's ritual and sitting to regain his Ultimate form, but he lost access to it and had to rely on his Super Saiyan forms. It's possible in the continuities of the 2015 film _Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection 'F'_ and the _Dragon Ball GT_ TV series that Gohan could re-unlock his Ultimate form if he met the requirements, but we don't see.
Broly with Ultimate would be insane. I’d say UI Mastered once fully achieved is the best form the body hardens, there seems to be no more stress, you just have to be in the right state a complete Unit when it comes to combat. I’d rather have Ultimate compared to any SSJ form tho as no strain and no difficulty. It’s just training.
I really like the editing you've done this time to change things up from how the What-Ifs. Using the custom background, calmer music and gifs instead makes it these Discussion videos feel more unique and refreshing! I think all the slight changes suit the style of content.
The Dragon Ball GT Perfect Files state that Super Saiyan 4 transformation is effectively a potential unlock, and SSJ forms can be used on top of Ultimate. Imagine Gohan with SSJ4 on top of Ultimate and having drank the Ultra divine water. He'd be unstoppable.
@@drhashtagyolo since UI can stack with transformations now, Legendary/Berserk God MUI Broly would be a true unit to behold. Not sure exactly where he would land in the power hierarchy, but to say the least, he’d be *very high* .
@robertothesupermutant830he doesnt want to use ssj cuz it wouldnt matter pu u locks ur potentail while ssj forms go deeper into it ofc he might have untapped potential and ssj will help but that would make him op
I haven't seen anyone mention this but I just wanted to point out that when you were showing ultimate's effectiveness with potential, you put Cabba's PL higher than Goten's when you were talking about hybrids having more potential than sayains' and thus would get more power. An understandable mistake, I'm assuming you put 200,000 because you were gonna put Goten at 500,000 (200,000) higher than Cabba. Just wanted to let you know, love your videos man.
I didn’t edit the video, and those numbers were just placeholders to show the math, not meant to be accurate at all. Regardless, thanks for the support!
@@Reece657 caulifla was only a little stronger than cabba and she was fighting base goku pretty good in ssj Base goku in top arc is stronger than ssg goku in bog arc
9:49 That manga panel makes me feel proud of Gohan for some reason. It's either my sympathy for Earthling fighters and my natural dislike towards Saiyans or my pride side that likes that Gohan chooses the harder way.
I would love gohan to train with whis to get stronger and earn it he need it he a little bit behind I would like him to get to ssb level in the next anime or arc whatever you call it
I love forms like Ssj4, Ultra Instinct, and Ultimate because of how they essentially have never ending power, which is perfect for the characters using those forms.
Idk ssj4 Is Just wrathful+ssj, having a limit way below ssjg, and Ultra Instict Is a tecnique that takes it's own form using the user's max strenght (goku's case:ssjb). Potential unleashed uses both the base potential and the max transformation that the user can fight with, and, considering gohan's potential, it's just the best form for HIM. If I had ti choose between being a Sayan and having mystic, I'd choose being a Sayan, I would have way more potential in this way.
I've never considered ultimate to be a form. It's more like supercharging your base. Elder Kai basically unlocked the floodgates to his base power source or potential. However if he doesn't train or fight for extended times then those floodgates start to close again. But because of elder Kai it will always be easier to get those gates open again.
My headcanon is that "Ultimate Form" is a state of being that bring all the power to base form. Like you don't need to transform anymore, just power up and use all those power in base form without any drawback.
I'm pretty sure that's exactly what it is. That's why I call it the Ultimate state. Ultimate Gohan is still in base form with his current full potential unleashed in a Super Saiyan-like power up.
I'm also pretty sure Ultimate had everything unlocked in base as the original concept but in Super, anime and manga, Ultimate only brings out the latent power of Gohan not including SSJ and Great Ape, which explains why he *chooses* not to use it.
I don't think it could be combined with blue, same way it isn't combined with normal super saiyan. God on the other hand, could be possible, or at the very least God ki.
Nah id rank him below blue Vegito think about it Vegito is stronger then ultimate gohan in super saiyan then if you add god ki to both the multiplier would be the same
Ultimate basically lets Gohan use the power of the Super Saiyan transformations without having to transform and therefore avoiding the drawbacks. If Gohan did have access to SSGSS, then he's just have the same power from said transformation added to his base form (It is this that allows the user to just push their power further, and why Gohan doesn't need to transform anymore).
@@ProcyonDei so your basically saying that in the buu arc ssj2 gohan could've defeated majin buu by himself (note: this early version of gohan was weaker than cell arc gohan)
Gohan got a god form before Goku I say this because Gohan trained with a god to unlock that form (z sord training) and so it really is a god form exclusive to him
It's a god technique, but doesn't use God Ki. Presumably King Kai and the Supreme Kais don't use God ki and is why Goku can sense their battle power but can't with Beerus before he learned God Ki himself. Also when you think about it Goku has a Kiao-ken and Genkidama while not forms are technically God techniques even though King Kai is a lesser God. But interestingly enough both of these techniques still hold some relevancy even now. Goku finally being able to merge Kiao-ken with one of his transformations SSB.
@Spy-D i always thought that it was only possible to do it against Pikuhan because he was using grade 4, and the form's stamina consumption was basically nullified.
Honestly, as neat as these discussions are, I think they're symptomatic of the fact that modern Dragonball is an absolute mess in terms of how the worldbuilding is structured. It's like the plot, the character arcs, how the powers work, everything has been tossed into a blender and is being made up as they go. Honestly, at this point, I think the what-if folks should get together, toss out everything after Battle of Gods, and make their own story arcs, because I really think they'd do a better job than what Toei did.
For sure. What I really like in seven deadly sins that they should’ve done with db super is the fact that every sin got an arc that gave them a significant buff to be in the level of a Ten Commandment. While in super barely anyone was even remotely close to the level of a god like goku. Only 17 at best and frieza being golden. And buu but then they just decided to give us a big fuck you.
Mystic/ultimate is also theoretically obtainable by non sayjinns. Which by default makes it better than any super sayjinn because you can have more users.
This is just a thought, but maybe Gohan having the most latent potential due to him being the only half Saiyan with full blooded Saiyan attributes. He's the only half blooded saying to have a tail and go Oozaru
The tail was the key to the true Saiyan power but I think the extra power accessed through a tail becomes dormant such as with Goku, Vegeta, and Gohan while other hybrids without tails also have dormant Oozaru power within them but not the extra from the tail. They'd still have a 10x multiplier but they wouldn't have the further potential of a tail.
The real question - if Gohan got access to god ki via God/Blue, or access to Ultra Instinct, would those abilities count as being part of his 'potential' and combine into his Ultimate form?
so needing to find an elder kai that is sealed in a sword in the world of the gody super gods, just below the hyper mega gody gods, to unlock it, is what the kids today call practical?
Yoooo the editiung ojn this video is so clean! Love the look of it. As for my thoughts on Potential Unleashed: I think that the way it works is that it's basically a transformation that is equal in power to the strongest transformation that person has; for Gohan, it's just as strong as SSJ3, and if he had god ki, it would become as strong as Blue Evolution, etc. That's how I've always interpreted it. I do wonder though, when Elder Kai said he could bring out Goku's potential, Goku was on board, but then said that they didn't have enough time. But if he had gone into the Room of Spirit and Time, I wonder... Maybe that could be a WHiM?
I always saw Potential Unleashed as the way for Earthlings to go back in (mad) action. Especially stacked up with something as Kaio-ken. Also, I'm really curious on No Ego Zone - could you cover this one next?
Gohan's ultimate form was powerful enough to make him relevant again after getting brutalized by a minion in Return of Frieza. His own base weakness shows the strength of the form.
Hopefully, though maybe just for these discussions? I think the quieter music, custom non-DBZ background and style suits this better and gives it some uniqueness to differentiate it from the What-Ifs. Also so his friend isn't pressured too hard, haha. As long as they're cool with doing more editing.
If I could choose one form, it would be ultimate or ultra instinct. Ultimate brings out the user's true potential and infinitely grows as long as the user is training but ultra instinct is VERY powerful and you can dodge everything without thinking.
It's kind of a shame I guess Toriyama forgot to make a daizenshuu on Ultimate since all the others GT, Super, etc have one in some degree oof. Maybe we can ask for one? Somehow lol
I think ultimate is the strongest form/state of being because if it’s a state of being then he would be able to stack it with blue. My reasoning is because if it’s just drawing the users potential or power then you could use something like super saiyan blue as a stack because it’s a transformation and a times booster to the users Ki and not something like ultimate when you have all your potential drawn out. So in that case if gohan would go into super sayain blue while he has ultimate on it then it will be just like a times booster to his full potential. At least this is what I think.
I actually want to correct with what he said about gurus potential unlocked ability. It didn't just happen once their power increased over time and not all at once like elder kais
Gohan’s ultimate form is pretty complex. The way I think of it is that it’s like a form that exponentially expands your power, if you are willing to go to the lengths needed to unlock it/maintain it. The form is supposed to be your potential unleashed (hence the popular name), so it makes sense that it would make you as strong as you possibly can be. Of course, as we see with Gohan, it doesn’t just stop at some point; the stronger he gets, the more potential he has, making his ultimate form all the more stronger. It helps that Gohan is probably the one best suited for this form, as he was always the one who had the most potential, both Goku and Vegeta believed that to be the case. Whether it’s the best form depends on the very nature of said form; it has great potential, but it depends on the user to fully bring it out to the best of their ability
Interesting thought So basically since ultimate draws all the users potentials out, transformations basically become useless because because the potential strength boost they would have given you is already accessible in base hence Gohan transforming back into base to use ultimate. Cos he doesn't need to strain his body for no strength benefit. That also means as he trains and grows stronger if he unlocks a new form. Instead of unlocking the base multipler and then slowly growing stronger as you get used to the form and learn to utilize it better... he just unlocks all the potential strength that new form gives you from the get. Which is quite a scary thought.
These reasons that you are talking about is the reason why I use Potential Unleashed in Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 more then the other forms I just didn't know how to explain how special the Potential Unleashed Form is. It has the Potential with no Ki and Stamina issues and has the power to surpass Super Saiyan God, and Super Saiyan Blue, and possibly Mastered Ultra Instinct if Gohan just devoted himself to training and involved his Potential Unleashed form futher to unimaginable possible.
Its a state of being that you can access but because of the saiyan biology it dance in the same line as UI with Goku. The thing is that regardless of species Ultimate improves with the user training and using it and thats something its not touched (no homo) in the series enough as it would clarify a lot of things. I think the bigger question is, can Ultimate be stacked with UI? even though it sounds broken but consider it as a way to become the ultimate fighter. Having all your potential unleashed and growing with you while you can attack and defend without thinking will make you someone to be feared and if Gohan pursuits UI this would make him the Gohan we always wanted.
i'm not sure if this is accurate but wasn't the potential unlock ceremony interrupted? it was supposed to last a day or longer but i think gohan only got like an hour's worth of it done on him before he lost his temper. meaning that if i'm remembering the scene correctly and said scene wasn't a dubism, the potential unleashed form isn't even complete.
Speaking of the elder kai considering in the GT timeline he knows of Ssj4s existence and how to get it, what if through weird magic he helped Gohan regrow his tail and he got ssj4 the same way Goku did, but with a blutz wave power ball during the Buu Arc
The only draw back I can see is that this does not give the user access to god ki. which has been stated to be more powerful and potent than mortal ki.
it would be interesting to see how mastered ultra instinct combined with ultimate would behave, because ultimate would theoretically have more power and speed than mastered ui once the user can activate at will like goku, but it would have the drawback of not having the other advantages of mastered ui where you’re rendered pretty much invincible from what we’ve seen so far
How would Ultimate interact with Ultra Instinct? Would it become part of Ultimate, so it could be used with no limitations? And is Beast Gohan/Orange Piccolo a transformation with Ultimate as a base? If so, why was Beast/Orange not incorporated into Ultimate? And since Kaioken can be argued to increase potential, would it also be incorporated into Ultimate? If so, what multiplier would it apply to Ultimate?
We haven't seen it before, but I presume the Ultra Instinct form and technique could be utilized on top of the Ultimate form, allowing the user to release the entirety of their potential and then some as well as tap into the deeper godly potential within themselves. Piccolo's Potential Unlocked/Power Awakening form releases the entirety of his potential, and Shenlong seemingly gifted Piccolo extra potential and the Orange Piccolo form to unlock that additional power. Gohan's Ultimate form, like I said before, releases the entirety of his potential and then some, and given that Toriyama described Gohan Beast as having awakened "the wild beast within him," Gohan's Beast form probably just unleashes a deeper, more unbelievable potential that couldn't be unlocked through training, his Super Saiyan forms, and even his Ultimate form. Unlike the Super Saiyan, Ultimate, Orange Piccolo, etc. forms, the Kaiō-Ken technique literally multiplies the existing power one has at the time of using the technique, so as long as one can properly use it, the Kaiō-Ken technique would just further increase, let's say, Ultimate Gohan's power via literal _ki_ multiplication (since the Ultimate form has already drawn out all of his potential).
I think it would be cool if for the next arc after granolah. If Goku and Vegeta go to elder Kai to get this form. Imagine potential unleashed ultra instinct, or ultimate destroyer/ego or whatever Vegetas new form is.
Think about it this way. Super saiyan is basically a mutipler of strength. The higher the form, the higher the mutipler. But ultimate, or mystic is a training form, like you said the form grows stronger the more it is trained with.
so does this mean that transformations combined with the ultimate form multiply someone's maximum potential? if not, and ultimate unleashes your maximum power, period, what's the point of using any other form besides ultimate?
Cant combine anything w the ultimate form. Potential unleashed is literally a transformation how could u mix it (doesnt work like god ki where u can mix regular ssj w the ssjg state)
It would be cool if Toriyama could make an origin about the Ultimate powers and abilities. It would be awesome if the ability is only unlocked specifically for Gohan, that’s why the Ki even introduced it to Gohan in the first place. It could probably be obtained from the kindhearted person not willing to hurt anyone and only strives for peace , but yet having the resolve to have the will power if needed, which he is a hybrid of course. Probably Toriyama could make this special ability a chosen type of power. Unlike Goku, Gohan never liked fighting unless he really had to, making this Ultimate form suitable for Gohan with his intellect, wisdom, and strength.
I always like to point out that Ultimate is born out of God Ki and Magic which explains how its unique. The Ultimate form is basically the Super Solider Serum for Dragonball. On a side note what if Pan actually inherited the Ultimate form? Instead of Pan not going Super Saiyan because she couldn't she just never needs too.
I think potential unleashed is a good thing because he can trained for so long that gohan can reach super saiyan god super saiyan gogeta level just with potential unleashed and even beerus level as well so I think potential unleashed is a good idea for gohan. (Especially for traning)
I think ultimate is a transformation that can become a state of being. I think it’s kinda similar to Ultra Instinct; Goku experiences ultra instinct as a transformation but the Angels experience it as a state of being
I feel like there’s a flaw here. It unleashed the potential of your regular ki. So gohan will still have that god ki barrier to over come. And mystic should be gohan specific because no one potential is as high or can grow as fast as his. Gohan went from to a cry baby to beating up planet busters in a literally instant. So mystic krillian would be almost like a non power up for krillian. The just god super sayian is probably the best. No stamina draw back, anyone should be able to train for god ki and he get the god ki benefits. Like mystic piccolo vs god ki piccolo the obviously choose is god ki. Piccolo probably wouldn’t even get much stronger from potential unlocks
Krillin would benefit more if he learned Kaio-Ken to be honest. Doubt he could get as high of a multiplier as Goku could though but I could see him pushing a 3 - 5x over time. Sure when Goku first used it against Vegeta it took a toll on his body as it would Krillin. But that was his first battle and Krillin could perfect the Kaio-ken over time. I like the DB Multiverse fan Manga who had a universe where an old man Krillin learned all the good techniques and was pretty formidable even though he wasn't Super Saiyan level.
I think Tien getting ultimate would be cool, since he is the only 'Human' (Or triclops human hybrid) Still training activly and striving for more power. Plus, if hybrids do have more potentiol, it would be interesting to see hoe much it powers him up. I even think that the day or so unlock could be spent in meditation with the Kai, overcoming his past which if I remember riight, still hinders him from unlocking his Triclops true potentiol. I think that could be a good way to 'earn' it.
I know they wouldn’t really earn it, but still. Giving the humans & Piccolo ultimate form & god Ki would really go a long ways in making them relevant again. Piccolo I feel could especially benefit.
Let's say if Goku has ultimate in the arcs where he can transform to mui does this mean that he can use mui in ultimate along with the potential he gets from his other forms?
He went from being around SSJ3 strength to tied with Blue and then I still believe Beast is a mix of Ultimate, Oozaru and SSJ2. I think Ultimate is able to have a higher power boost over time and so does Beast now
So if we were to look at ultimate as a technique and not a transformation then could Gohan theoretically stack ultimate on something like super sayain or one of the god forms if he obtained them? I think an ultimate super saiyan god would be pretty cool ngl
If we were to treat ultimate as a math equation, we would use an exponent instead of the number being multiplied. So theoretically speaking, if gohan kept training he would surpass the majority of the characters in the series easily. No one time boosts like god forms or anything, more like the old broly when his power just kept growing and growing.
To be honest I dont think they shouldve classified the the mystic form as a transformation but more as a multiplier like kaioken since it really just unlocks his potential meaning he should be able to stack super Sayain on top of it. At that point I think he should be able to beat golden frieza. And when he unlocks god ki and ssjg if he stacked he'd have a good chance at defeating vegeta
technically it's a Power Up to the Base, much like SSBlue is a Power Up to SSGod, rather than a transformation but honestly going Ultimate and then SSGod would be the best thing ever especially after turning Ultimate and then SSGod on top into ones New Base like SSJ in the Cell Games but way more Hardcore like to the point that even after dying you can't revert back to Base anymore so the God-Blue Switch could be used more often
ok had a thought so Cold, Frieza and Cooler were basically genetically engineered at least that my understanding so what it King Cold had made one more son after Frieza mixing in Saiyan Dna from an up and coming Saiyan recruit (Bardock) but was considered a failed experiment because of its low birth power of 100 and was shipped to a back water planet (Earth) so what if Goku was half frost demon
i want to see more love to the other characters, well more specifically the other races. I want to see unique transformations that aren’t just another grade of ssj or another color. I want to see a namekian transformation, i want to see a progressed kaioken or human transformation.
Doesn't Mystic come from toy lines? Like I might be Mandela effecting, but I swear I remember Mystic Gohan being the name on the Z-Sword Gohan action figure
Now that makes me wonder, if Goku let Elder Kai perform the ritual on him before the ToP... how would that have gone?
That’s something interesting
I think if he did go into the hyperbolic time chamber he might have had 2 weeks of time in the 1 hour if not mistaken before the tournament took place. The others might also have gotten there potential unleashed.
When he broke his limit the mystic form might grow stronger so he might defeat jiren without any help
He'd beat Jiren with that and Omen
Did you mean to give the hybrid sayain less of a boost then the sayain in your example?
Ultimate Gohan is just Toriyama apologizing for changing direction on Gohan being the main character/strongest I don't think it will ever be anything more than that.
sad but I gotta agree with ya.
@Madu Abeykoon Toriyama never wanted Gohan to be the main character, he wanted to end the series after the Frieza saga. He only made Gohan the strongest when he was forced to keep writing.
@Madu Abeykoon you must be fairly new to dragon ball, I've been following it for 23 years and it's common knowledge
@Madu Abeykoon you and me both, remember Dragonball af?
@Prince Vegeta’s Burner Account he was forced because he was under contract and they wanted him to keep the story going
I think that humans probably get a lot more if both they and saiyans have god forms and on par with or a little bit less than half saiyans.
its a form that brings out all of your current potential so the more you train the higher your potential becomes
@Gerald Tyler basically

Carthu's Dojo mentioned something like that.
stefano cremonini That kinda sounds like something that could be added to UI that’s how an Angel is so op
I think too.
That’s basically him having God Ki in base.
That's what it was when we first saw it.

Every time I don't see Gohan get the ultimate form I feel a part of my soul die also I'm really enjoying the new format
I always call it the Ultimate state because that seems the most accurate. It's just a power up that can't be accessed without the proper mind and trained body. When reunlocking it in the Super anime, he simply reverted back to base form as he no longer needed to transform for the higher power.
I thought he always had it he just got weaker? He has to re-unlock it?
Also, this video was edited by my friend Josh, @maxwell_huhok on twitter. Big thanks to him for making this video look so good!
You're smart
Broly with Ultimate would be insane.
I’d say UI Mastered once fully achieved is the best form the body hardens, there seems to be no more stress, you just have to be in the right state a complete Unit when it comes to combat.
I’d rather have Ultimate compared to any SSJ form tho as no strain and no difficulty. It’s just training.
Eeyup.
Nopw its a technique
I really like the editing you've done this time to change things up from how the What-Ifs. Using the custom background, calmer music and gifs instead makes it these Discussion videos feel more unique and refreshing! I think all the slight changes suit the style of content.

I haven't seen anyone mention this but I just wanted to point out that when you were showing ultimate's effectiveness with potential, you put Cabba's PL higher than Goten's when you were talking about hybrids having more potential than sayains' and thus would get more power. I would love gohan to train with whis to get stronger and earn it he need it he a little bit behind I would like him to get to ssb level in the next anime or arc whatever you call it
The editing was perfect well done
This new editing style its literally the best
Ultimate doesn’t let you use the power of other transformations it is just all your potential in base
All I'm thinking about is the elder kai in the dbz english dub saying "I can take a person far beyond their limits"
I snapped with this editng
I like what you did with the video design 👍👌 This is Salad Sauce
i like this new edditing style
The editing is amazing
I can't wait to see ultimate being mixed with super saiyan or Ultimate ssj
@Spy-D I already watched gt
@Spy-D it’s just that gohan barely did anything in it
I've never considered ultimate to be a form.
If Gohan would've decided to train with Whis he would've been able to mix Ultimate with SSGSS to be literally broken to even match Jiren in power.
@@thejuicerisgone3215 No he didn't say that
Gohan got a god form before Goku I say this because Gohan trained with a god to unlock that form (z sord training) and so it really is a god form exclusive to him
That’s an assumption.
To classify it as a divine form, it needs to grant access to God ki, which we have no confirmation of that, and it's implied it doesn't.
Could you do a what-if where instead of goku ending his turn with cell and letting gohan kill cell, he combines super saiyan 1 with kaio-ken?
@Spy-D i always thought that it was only possible to do it against Pikuhan because he was using grade 4, and the form's stamina consumption was basically nullified.
Gohan also had his potential unlocked by Guru also
Honestly, as neat as these discussions are, I think they're symptomatic of the fact that modern Dragonball is an absolute mess in terms of how the worldbuilding is structured.
Just wanna comment and say that the editing and transitions in this video were super clean you did a great job!
@@-RedHood- Nah that is just some BS Toriyama made up to cover his butt on the fact he forgot Saiyans have tails.
@@CosmicGoku529 Toriyama never forgot that Saiyans have tails. He just wrote them out to no longer have tails because he hated drawing them.
I never thought of Mystic as a form, I just considered it Gohan's base form perfected to the extent Super Saiyan is superfluous.
I’ve always liked thinking of it as a form. No matter how you think about it, dbs shows that you have to “power up into it”.
For me it's an empowered state.
You’ve gotten way better at editing and I like it it’s pretty smooth you didn’t think anyone would notice but I did
Imagine if Gohan learned the kaioken that he could use to stack ultimate with
That Josh editing is HITTING
The real question - if Gohan got access to god ki via God/Blue, or access to Ultra Instinct, would those abilities count as being part of his 'potential' and combine into his Ultimate form?
Ultra instinct is a technique so it wouldn't be combined
so needing to find an elder kai that is sealed in a sword in the world of the gody super gods, just below the hyper mega gody gods, to unlock it, is what the kids today call practical?
Maybe that could be a WHiM?
thanks maxwell_huhok
Thanks cage
Really good video man. But just imagine what would happen if there was an Android with ultimate. And imagine one who seriously trained
You said the hybrid gets more benefit from ultimate but you had the Saiyan with a higher power than the hybrid
I noticed that too. I hope it's an error.
Can josh become a regular editor he was fire this time
Hopefully, though maybe just for these discussions?
Fun fact: it's a possibly that not a saiyan hybrid doesn't need to be with a human.
Please use grammar with your comment
You were just talking about ultimate on twitter, but I agree, been thinking this myself as well
I saw you defending gohan on twitter too
The editing on this video is CRISP!!!
I'm at 4:43, and listening to this. You're telling me after the ToP if he were to get Potential Unleashed/Ultimate, he would be stronger than MUI?!
I actually want to correct with what he said about gurus potential unlocked ability. It didn't just happen once their power increased over time and not all at once like elder kais
Yoo, The edits are looking great!
What if Brody took the form?
@@servantofourlordjesuschris6456zeno will have an equal

Interesting thought So basically since ultimate draws all the users potentials out, transformations basically become useless because because the potential strength boost they would have given you is already accessible in base hence Gohan transforming back into base to use ultimate. Cos he doesn't need to strain his body for no strength benefit.
That also means as he trains and grows stronger if he unlocks a new form. Instead of unlocking the base multipler and then slowly growing stronger as you get used to the form and learn to utilize it better... he just unlocks all the potential strength that new form gives you from the get.
Which is quite a scary thought.
pretty much agree, also the quality of your videos is evolving at a rapid pace.
did you forget gohan trained with the z sword before fighting buu?
These reasons that you are talking about is the reason why I use Potential Unleashed in Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 more then the other forms I just didn't know how to explain how special the Potential Unleashed Form is. It has the Potential with no Ki and Stamina issues and has the power to surpass Super Saiyan God, and Super Saiyan Blue, and possibly Mastered Ultra Instinct if Gohan just devoted himself to training and involved his Potential Unleashed form futher to unimaginable possible.
Good point because the transformations hurt the body, so Goku and maybe Jiren can’t go as far as gohan.
Hey salad when will you resume what if begets raised tarble?
Vegeta I mean
it would be interesting to see how mastered ultra instinct combined with ultimate would behave, because ultimate would theoretically have more power and speed than mastered ui once the user can activate at will like goku, but it would have the drawback of not having the other advantages of mastered ui where you’re rendered pretty much invincible from what we’ve seen so far
But it is a form where you can tap into Gotham power without consequences plus be able to easily power up.
I think it’s kinda similar to Ultra Instinct; Goku experiences ultra instinct as a transformation but the Angels experience it as a state of being
Every form can get strong to but the other form's need energy
Now this gets me thinking Idk how well this would do as a what if, but What if the Supreme Kai met the Z-fighters in the Saiyan Saga?
Everyone is unique.
Goku has kaioken
Piccolo is green.
What bout Vegeta?
We need more what ifs about gohan like if gohan was born with ultimate
Let's say if Goku has ultimate in the arcs where he can transform to mui does this mean that he can use mui in ultimate along with the potential he gets from his other forms?
He went from being around SSJ3 strength to tied with Blue and then I still believe Beast is a mix of Ultimate, Oozaru and SSJ2. I think Ultimate is able to have a higher power boost over time and so does Beast now
As a Gohan fan all i can say is thanks😁
5:02 then why did you put them on the level under full blooded saiyans
so if gohan got ultra instinct, then used mystic, he'd have the power boost of ultra instinct?
