The real solution to this problem is to bloom the yeast first, before adding your salt, this way the yeast has had time to multiply and create a stable environment.
That’s a very useful video! We just bought a Panasonic bread maker and our first attempt was unsuccessful. So I looked for videos here, to see how the bread should come out. And sure enough your video helped! It turned out that we haven’t put enough flour the first time (so a kitchen scale is very much recommended to get the right proportions). Our second attempt came out beautiful :) Also the tip on adding olive oil is brilliant 👍
Heating up olive oil turns it into a bad type of oil, that's why the best olive oil is cold pressed. You dip the bread in it while you eat, that's how you consume olive oil if you want the benefits and no repercussions.
I'm using my machine for the first time on the basic program. It's 15 minutes into the cycle and all the machine has done is hum quietly. Should it not start by mixing the ingredients?
I haven't used mine for a few years and so downloaded the manual online. I discovered that there are different versions of the machine, which is a bit confusing
Everything about this video is wrong Don’t place your machine too close to the wall or edge Don’t add salt next to the yeast Don’t add yeast in the middle of the bread making but on the edge All the above instructions are in the book
You are right, but the presentation is good and after seeing this and reading the comments, I ended up with buying a bread maker myself. I really don't mind how he placed the machine. I would guess it's there because it's a presentation and maybe not the normal place to have it? So no judgement from my side. The yeast does work this way as well, but it could have some bad proofing results. The finished product looked good though, so it's not that bad?
After Stir 2 get your hands wet, push the dough to one side and remove the paddle, and put the dough back into a nice shape. Also, yeast almost always goes in last.
Have two Panasonic breadmakers. 1 ends baking programme close to the end so bottom is cooked but top is dough 2 Basic programme will not mix but dough programme will. Would be nice if Panasonic offered real custome service and be upfront with possible fault histories and fixes
Never put the salt on the yeast because the salt kills the yeast.
1. Yeast
2. Flour
3. Sugar
4. Salt
5. Water
The method shown works for me ok
@@wivhouse3895 that's why you got a mediocre result
Don't mix the yeast with the salt as this can kill the yeast. The yeast should be added on top or the flour to keep them seperate.

agree... i made this mistake once...

We can only say that we have had no problems with our machine
I’ve been told not to allow salt to make contact with the yeast?
correct
American bread makers do wet first, then dry.
We have made a video on whole meal bread as well
salt should not be poured on the yeast
Прекрасный хлеб получился!
It works for us thank you for the feedback
Wasting that olive oil and turning it into bad oil... better to dip the bread in it when it is done
Frustrating to watch.
its a great machine.. i love mine
