I was thinking to myself right before watching this “what if I invented something that can vibrate really aggressively that will bring up the sand”. Bcuz I noticed that slapping the carpet does the job but I’d have to do like 100 slaps a second to be effected LOL. So thank u for this!
Hello from Australia. Sand capital of the world. So to break it down. All i need to do is use my 150 angle buff, let the velcro stick to the floor, with the vibrations it will raise the sand to the top. Get my trusty vac going. Omg... It works..... I was using air compressor and hand scrubbing tools... Ive subscribed to this channel.... Whilst we are on the subject of you American trade blokes just knowing stuff.... Can you tell me the 7 secret herbs ( erbs ) and spices that makes KfC Chicken... Much Love
onion powder, garlic powder, salt, pepper, paprika, msg, and flour? lol Yes, it works, just gotta be careful sometimes the velcro will leave an permenent imprint in the carpet. But what would you rather have, some slightly messed up carpet or sand all over the place? Gotta pick your poison. You can also use a "personal massager" anything that vibrates
Now pull the buffer off the carpet and film the big mark it left behind on the carpet. I tried this. Thought it was a brilliant idea untill it done that
I've heard someone else having that issue. It doesn't do it to me, I think it's how the hook & loop material on the backing plate works to be honest. In that case, set the machine on it's side and let the backing plate beat the carpet.
I actually tried a palm sander several years ago and it did not vibrate the floor good enough to make the sand come up. I might try one of these polishers and see if it works better.
Sorry for the late reply. This was a Griot's Garage 6" Dual Action polisher. The Baur from Harbor Freight would be the go to for this method as it's currently $40
Love the unedited video like this. One of the most useful videos out there.

Wish you lifted the DA off the carpet so we can see the Hook and loop marks it left on the carpet.
You absolute legend
Hey where you been? Thought you were all buddies on the “dpc” group.
nobody ever mentions the Velcro pad
Thank you

Could you achieve the same effects using a palm sander?
Absolutely and it won’t wear your polisher out. I didn’t have a palm sander at a time. So this trick works in a jiffy.

And what if I don't have this or similar machine?
Palm sander
Really anything that vibrates like crazy and will make the sand "jump" to the surface so you can vacuum it out. :)
Did you leave the Velcro on?
Tarek Restom
Yes sir! It’s just a regular backing plate.
What the name of head is it? Oo

This will tear up the carpet don’t do it
omg you saved mylife
Me too
Get a KIRBY and use the turbo brush. Or, use an Oreck. Hehe
I use a Kirby Turbo Brush in my car LOL I just love living in FL 🤣
Or just buy a fuckin Tornador lol. They’re $50 on Amazon and you won’t blow the bearings on your polisher. They’re also purpose built for this but 🤷
Just use a palm sander. You are going to destroy the carpet and your polisher doing this.
Put a thin towel underneath then. Vibrations still the same, without burning carpet
:O !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
WWOWWWWWWW
😄😄👏👏👏
