Americana Global Pads (The Worst Pad I've Ever Used)
Before making this video I contacted Americana about their product and the issues I had with it. They refused to help me, and wouldn't issue me a refund either.
Amazing customer support, thank you!
Update 12/27/2019
Americana Global Inc refunded me, about 5 days ago after watching my video. I made this video, and reported this problem to them back in October, or early November. It wasn't until I uploaded the UA-cam video that they actually offered to refund me.

    Hello from Australia. Sand capital of the world. So to break it down. All i need to do is use my 150 angle buff, let the velcro stick to the floor, with the vibrations it will raise the sand to the top. Get my trusty vac going. Omg... It works..... I was using air compressor and hand scrubbing tools... Ive subscribed to this channel.... Whilst we are on the subject of you American trade blokes just knowing stuff.... onion powder, garlic powder, salt, pepper, paprika, msg, and flour? lol Yes, it works, just gotta be careful sometimes the velcro will leave an permenent imprint in the carpet. But what would you rather have, some slightly messed up carpet or sand all over the place? Gotta pick your poison. You can also use a "personal massager" anything that vibrates

    How much psi is your air compressor and do you think 100 psi is enough?

    • @hallmarksdetailingllc8078
      @hallmarksdetailingllc8078 2 роки тому

      Mine is 125psi... i have it turned down to 90psi. And the one in my detailing trailer is set at 70psi CFM matters more then PSI when looking at compressors. The more CFM the more air actually comes out. Also, usually it's a bigger tank so more air to use before it turns on. Little air compressors don't like constantly being turned on and off.

      I sold the Rupes 21 MK2 and went to a MaxShine Pro 21 and with the same pads I have not encountered any issues. So no it wasn’t the pads fault, it was the machines fault. Maybe they fixed it in the MK3 version but I don’t know. Also, Todd with Esoteric proved that priming pads does absolutely nothing.

    I think many of the Rupes 21 mm owners find the same as you and I. The machine is prone to stalling and you're not going to like my suggestion and how I fixed it. I bought a Shinemate EX620 Pro for 250 bucks. Problem solved. My Bigfoot is my backup until I can buy another Shinemate. I know... It pisses me off too. And I use the orange HDO pad and have not found any of the problems that you have found. Most of the time I stay around speed 4 though. Excellent video, thank you for the info!

  • @BigBear--
    @BigBear-- 3 роки тому

    I didn’t see or hear any stalling...the machine barely even changed sound. If you’re talking about that the pad seems to not spin as fast, or like it’s skipping while the machine rpms haven’t or don’t change...that’s normal with any regular, non-forced, DA polisher. The backing pad is free spinning on non forced rotation DA polishers. So it’s totally normal for them to occasionally do that kind of skipping (I guess what you’re calling stalling). Just move the machine over a bit or lighten up on the pressure and the pad will spin again. My point is that’s a function of the machine design, not really a pad issue.

      I think Rupes pads on Rupes machines work best and honestly wouldn't use another pad on a Rupes machine. For the short throw DA's like the Griot's Garages, Harbor Freights, MaxShine's etc. I don't think pad choice matters as much since those machines don't really stall out anyway.
