First person POV of the frog hop at 12:48 : ua-cam.com/video/9VkASlrWHjk/v-deo.html This was a super fun run and "death from above" was fitting in more ways than one for me...
When gunships go down coming straight at you its simultaneously the most terrifying and coolest thing ever, especially if it happens like it did in this video
Looks like Walking Barrage will become the new meta for difficulty 10 missions! It was fun watching you and your team just bombard the Fortress without having to get close, lol. Fitting especially for a sniper build.

new Spiked lets gooo !!! Man Curia has been kicking my ass, had my first mission fail in ages there. I was playing with some lvl 30s/40s, but still. The smaller map + massive LoS means any time the team wasn't on top of taking enemies down and being on the move resulted in us getting surrounded.
This is a fun loadout! I used it with enforcer armor instead of dynamo, but I think they are both really good options. Thanks for this video and continued ideas for different successful loadouts.
@@xerliusthe extra armor boost above medium combined with explosive resistance and less weapon kickback (whatever the term is) really works for bots and this build.
What a great game. AMR + Supply Pack is one of my favorites against bots and, in my experience, deceptively strong against bugs (fun but very far from the strongest tho). That ~150m Hulk kill at 20:37 looked so cool, you're pretty good.
@@newspiked7385 Just the AMR experience, sometimes you feel like Simo Häyhä himself reincarnated to stop the advance of those socialist bots on Super Earth, sometimes you feel like a blind guy could've possibly made a better shot.
some missions are pure cinema, and this is one of them for sure I do like that style of planet a lot; lighting, terrain, etc loved the view of the fortress!
Dual wielding sniper rifles, you madlad. AMR+Supply pack is my go to for bots, super helpful, keeps the team safe n' supplied. And I get all the hard drugs I need to keep myself alive from all the ragdolling! :D
Thankfully the AMR now brings the ships down in 2 hits. Before, it was a nightmare to deal with them when I don't have rockets or lasers. Now, I just need to get a little bit of space from the ground troops and take care of the flyers
Watching you guys destroy the mega base from the ridge was awesome. So cinematic. So how did the turret get on top of that tower when evacuating citizens? Didn’t quite understand.
Yeah, loved that battle so much! So with the tower, or any kind of overhang like in the desert canyons, if you call a strat below the overhang, it'll land ontop, which is great for sentries...not so great for weapon drops :P
I've often had good results using smoke against bots, since being able to break line of sight without relying on terrain is huge against enemies with guns. I usually pick Eagle Smoke though, because stun grenades are way too good to pass up. And I don't know if I'm the only one who feels this way, but Gunships feel too strong for how often you can encounter them in patrols (or heavens forbid, when two or three of the secondary objectives are Gunship Facilities and they're all within walking distance of each other, I've seen that happen). The high durability on their thrusters seems like a really forced way to make them difficult encounters, and even after the slight nerf from the patch they still take a huge amount of bullets to bring down even with thruster targeting, unless you specifically have the HMG or something that deals explosive damage like an Autocannon or anti-tank weapon. Some of my worst old difficulty 9 games happened when my team got swamped by Gunships and either only one person brought a Recoilless Rifle or everybody got killed and dropped their support weapons and were reinforced far away from them.
Smoke is the one big unexplored area for me personally, though I know a lot of the stealth divers make good use of them. Just have to force myself not to take a damage strat next time :P Re: gunships, I know what you mean, I think the durability nerf to their engines helped a lot tho. There's also quite the number of support weapons that can handle them these days: AC, HMG, AMR, LC, and RG can take them out very quickly one after the other, while Commando, RR, EATs, Quasar, Spear can also do very well against them but only in smaller numbers. For primaries, it's only really the Scorcher and Purifier that are vaguely viable, but I think that's ok. Autocannon Sentry and Rocket Sentries also do well, so you do have quite a bit of choice of how to handle them, I think adding / adapting a couple of red strats would go a long way too though.
How do you stay away from the mobs so well, i very rarely see you get trapped. That's my biggest problem, i can get the objectives but when i get overrun i'm fucked.
It's a mixture of moving fast and also killing fast. If you're moving fast you can outrun everything, but if you start slowing down you have to start thinning the crowds. Getting overwhelmed usually happens not just because of fresh spawns, but an army that's been chasing you catching up. If you've just taken a base, it can be worth using the base's own chokepoints against the oncoming enemy. Last thing is possibly controversial given how much I like variety, but I really feel Autocannon and AMR specifically have so much killing power vs Devastators, the main enemy type that can really oppress you. The other generalists like LC, RG, HMG can all kill well, but AC and AMR just seem that bit faster at any range, games with at least 2 of those always seem to run much smoother. Shout-out also to the GL which can nuke enemies quick too, though that might struggle against the new Striders.

AMR and Supply Pack combo is crazy good for bots. Glad to see you running it!

Two AMR in the engine now to kill a gunship is a game changer

Yeah, not many places to hide other than the odd crater, so you gotta use those sightlines to your favour!

I use exterminator but I’m probably going to switch to enforcer

Was the SAM site gibing you kills this game? And has that been a thing? I've never actually noticed that before
Yup! Seems to grant the kills to the host, so the host usually has a ton more kills than the clients if you have some SAM sites up.
Supply pack is feeling like a requirement with randoms now.
It's so good, but yeah especially if you don't know the team will stick together
