Can't imagine how stressful you are when the Detector Tower is immune to Hellbomb not once, but twice until you chose to use SEAF Artillery to one-hit it.

The new rewards are more useless samples at this point, since devs only brainstorm ideas for ways to spend them...serious players have everything capped by now, so after the big update everything stays the same: its all about enjoying core gameplay and earning pen1s points. :)

I'm here from that time when we bravely fought on Creek. You were a first solo stealth diver who i saw on UA-cam, who made me buy this game and fall in love with it. Keep doing what you doing my friend, your work for Democratic cause is beautiful.
P.S - Today i did deathless entire operation on diff 10 vs bots, it took my soul away. HELL of a challenge, i tell ya. Waiting to see you do that)

I think that this update is heading in the right direction with super helldive being "bring your factory strider to work" day, and I like the Poor Intel modifier. It isn't negative or positive in my opinion, and doesn't force you to use certain gear. However, I was hoping for a bit more out of the fortress in the form of a new type of fabricator or you have to destroy a fabricator and something else to clear it. Right now, it just feels like a bigger outpost rather than an actual fortress. I also feel like there is three heavy outposts for each faction, and that the objectives don't have any depth to them. I hope that we get new outposts and more in-depth objectives in the near future.
I only enlisted after hearing tales of the Creek, ago but heroes like you are why I signed up. Outstanding tactics Sarge, may the wings of Liberty fly with you!

beautiful to watch. You make look like a level 3! I just can't imagine
me and my buddy did one of these with the command bunkers as the primary on vandalon with a mate who's still newish to the game... it was like dropping into a jungle made of steel, ice, and hatred.. so many bases... so many hulks.. was f^cking brutal but a ton of fun. we spent 15 god d^mn minutes in that fortress.. just non-stop fighting and bot-drops. absolute tooth and nail grinder of a fight but honestly some of the most fun i've had in HD2 in ages.
Saying "ages" in reference to a game that's been out for half a year is crazy.

Oh, one thing: you might try smoke grenades. They make doing objectives solo much easier.

Railgun feels great with the Gunship changes and new Striders. Not sure if I'm imagining it though but all the AoE weapons like the Scorcher feel weaker vs shielded enemies.
@@newspiked7385 Railgun is definitely back on the menu, it feels like all those terminator bots got replaced by hulks on diff 10. I haven't tested it vs gunships yet, but i've heard it wrecks them relatively fast now. And i think you're absolutely right about the scorcher, seems like they stealth nerfed my boy.
They buffed regular striders awhile back, and the new striders have even more armor (takes 4 crossbow shots to down). The leg joint area is weakest, but exactly where I could not tell you.
Railgun can one shot gunship engine now - think it requires a slight overcharge but I am pretty certain 2 safe mode shots at most. As someone who preferred the AMR the first month of the game, the Railgun has been in a great spot for awhile now, with the exception of gunships. They couldn't rebuff the durable damage without making it too strong, so toning down the gunship durability was a great fix. With the new Rocket Striders even a safe mode Railgun is an excellent choice vs bots.
Sarge is a type of person who will be in front of 100 automatons and will say, "hmm it will take 10 mins" and if we ask him what? he will say,"to eradicate this planet"

For the people that can play diff 8 and above. Try the same on the first match after a patch. Use the smoke strike, don't stay in one place for too long, it is not hard, it is just not fun.

I love watching divers go through these missions. I just enlisted last week and when I see recorded combat from the field it gives me hope. Super Earth just might have a fighting chance.
In a side note, I think it would be really cool if HD2 could enable players to play as bots. Once a player get destroyed they just spawn in another bot, until all factories are disabled, then they would have to call in drop ships to drop more bots

Hello Sarge, i just got the game 2 days ago and ive watched plenty of videos now, gotta say this is the most impressive gameplay BY FAR. Feels like a movie. Any tips for a noob when to use which build and what i should unlock first? I soloed everything until now but i cant beat lvl 6 missions alone, almost every video about this game is outdated because i heard that everything gets nerfed after its been good for a few weeks and i cant find a reliable source how to progress the best. Let alone from this video i learned like 5 new things i didnt know xd.

OP: generally if you know any friends who play the game too, run with them for a bit, they'll help alot
otherwise, run with a few public squads, and try to talk to feel them out, make it clear you're new early on and if they're the 40% of players who are sentient and capable of typing they'll help you out too
as for solo, what you want to run HEAVILY depends on what you struggle with, and what you get the most frustrated by
I would generally say don't try to solo anything above 6/5 until you get a few warbonds; default gear and stratagems are completely fine, but you'll need the specialized ones
if you do want to challenge yourself, keep your Liberator because it's a completely solid choice that will, with skill, handle anything short of a tank or hulk
bring the redeemer as your sidearm (peacemaker is fine, but in the situations you'll be using it, the redeemer is a better last-stand weapon)
for strats I don't know what you have unlocked, but precision/airstrike/jump pack (if you have it, otherwise replace jump pack with machine gun)/EAT is solid and everything but the jump pack is unlocked at the start
for solo gameplay itself, you NEED to use stealth; you're capable of holding your own against one bot drop, but if you fuck with the wrong patrols too many times or get bogged down in a base, you will run out of supplies, reinforces and time very quickly
focus on killing fabricators in bases and prioritize killing troopers first if you do have to engage patrols or objectives, troopers are the small human sized ones that call in reinforcements
if you have infiltrator armour, the range at which enemies detect you is VERY short, only like 20m right in front of them if you're crouching, past that you're as good as invisible, and if you keep on top of checking your map you shouldn't get jumped by patrols unless you're in a bad spot

Wow lots of lessons to learn here for fellow Helldivers. Avoid contact as much as possible, disengage early-disengage often, use stealth-cover-terrain at your advantage, and mostly important use your brain. So cool!

You get all the resupplies to yourself when you solo so HSO not needed. Meth stim will get you out of so many otherwise impossible situations and helps you move around the map faster, which is important when soloing.

Can you do a thought process explanation video? I think your strategy is brilliant but am having trouble predicting your next decision.
Jump pack allows quick getaways and circumvents the enemy's defenses. Scorcher is well rounded vs all bot enemies, and ammo is not a concern. To take out bases, 380 and airstrikes are used as appropriate, but they aggro bots to his position so he has to make a quick run elsewhere to de-escalate or risk dying. Generally he's going in directions to keep aggro down, while waiting for strats to come off cooldown and then opportunistically attack whatever is in the area.
Railgun is ideal for bots, being the best hulk and devastator deleter in game. Now that it can deal with gunships, he can deal with every bot enemy in the game with ease between the scorcher, Railgun, and Airstrike. 380 is king of bot base clearing, and you should be able to see why Jump Pack is the best backpack in the game.
Not to take anything away from Sarge, but this mission - especially with the helpful blizzards - is probably the easiest to solo in the game outside of a blitz. It was my first solo Helldive back at launch. The loadout was perfectly chosen for the mission and enemies he was facing.

This was very different from my experience in super helldive. I was unable to walk 50 meters without finding a huge patrol, sometimes I had to face 3 at the same time from different directions.
Sarge doesn't get mad about small game changes. Sarge dives and gets shit done. Be like Sarge.
