Really good they made quick silver shared across all saves , and more to the point , the fact u can unlock stuff with a new save once u have it on others. Saves the long massive grind for new saves
THAT was A LOT of information!! And the presentation of all that info was presented was clear, precise and well thought out!!! Very well done! Thanks for sharing! You got a new sub as well.
One thing that can help if any readers want and don't know, there are items you can make in the nutrient processor that give you a jet pack boost. This can help you get to technology modules much quicker so you can unlock more items faster. You will need to get the technology modules enough to unlock the nutrient processor. The easiest recipe for a jet pack boost I know of is combine fire water with salt and cactus flesh to produce salty juice. Fire water is obtained by processing fire berries, easily found on scorched worlds (planets with solanium and phosphorus.) Scorched worlds usually have salt as well, and cactus flesh can be harvested, bought from ships on trading posts, or made in a refiner by combining oxygen and pyrite, both which can be bought. Easy peasy and now you have 8 second portable jet pack boosts with no cooldown. Enjoy.
It’s far easier to get the s class module you want from the space station and than going back to flat land and start duplicating. Get the 15 of the same s class upgrades in under 30 seconds. And each upgrade has its own stats which is dope.
@@adrianriojas9966 Not sure how this is a reply to my comment. I just wanted to share an easy recipe for a jet-pack boost item which can really help if you are hunting down buried technology modules (not upgrade modules.) If you are into duping, may as well just play sandbox at that point.
I think I may try a 'Creative save' to see what I can build, before spending 4 hours searching for all the salvage data. Prefabs were fun for a bit, but having seen some builds in the community I am eager to improve my building skills. Thanks for all the tips!
Great summary 👍 You can buy salvaged data from merchants at minor settlements also and some trade terminals. Their assortment changes from merchant to merchant on different settlements or differs in terminals in other locations
Minor Settlements and Planetary Archives. As you indicated, not all of them will stock them and their quantity may vary. It's worth noting that they restock every time you warp away and come back. I like to make a base at a couple so I can warp back and forth when I want to grab some without hunting them down.
Creative is like a god cheat i do my quicksilver missions/ buy QS items in creative mode then collect on other saves it makes the missions alittle easier when ya cant die
Anyone know if there is a way to scale building parts that require electricity and then have them powered? No connection points when you do...Asking here since this is beebz' newest clip.
There is indeed a problem with scaled parts and connecting. We have not found a way to snap the wire on them. But there are tricks where you can place the wire first on the right location, and then slide the scaled part against the wire. This has worked pretty well for me.
the game has changed for the better. I really like the current new design of the resources. it is so much better to store salvage data now in 2022 going to 2023.
This adds MOST legacy parts, but definitely NOT all. The old shutter doors (not power doors) are supposedly added, but they are not in the legacy parts list anywhere. They are gone from menu period. Not your fault, it was removed by HG around the time of the Next update. They're listed to add, as shutter door, but they're gone. The shutter doors were self powered to open and close on their own. Unlike the power doors that you have to manually power.
Haha, yes... There must be a reason though... Like I said, these parts seems to be harder on the render and such, and they might want to faze them out. Leaving them in for legacy players is probably because they wanted them to allow to finish bases they still were working on.
I have never been able to find a place to land on a derelict freighter, before! Is this a recent update or are some freighters just not able to be landed upon?
I am interested in knowing how to unlock the legacy building parts. One of my first saves started unlocking those but the update took those parts away. ive always wanted to know how to finish out my legacy tab
Yes I am on PC. I read about one called goatfungus (authors name maybe) and wasn’t sure if I could figure out how to use it. Wondering if such a mod exists on vortex mods since I am running one or two mods from their tool.
*PLEASE HELP!!* A whole load of construction items that I’ve found are not available for me to choose from in the base building inventory. Items such as bubble clusters and other stabilised reality glitches. I’ve found them but am unable to craft them for some reason. Does anyone have any explanation for this please? 🙏🏻 When I look at them in the catalogue I get the feeling I need to do something to unlock the blueprint, it mentions that I need 500 salvage data or something. 🤷🏻
My first start in this game was last night. I spawned into a planet where the temperature is 60 degrees Celsius or higher essentially killing you constantly whilst trying to find parts for your plane. The issue is my objective is stuck under the map on the side of a volcano... how do I get past this?
I have a small problem that i haven't been able to find help on else ware. When i place a Hazard Protection Unit to my base i can't use it, it says i don't have enough power. I didn't think i needed to wire in this unit so i'm confused. I just stuck it on a wall in my base and i have the required material that the unit states that i need to "spend" to use it. I'm sure it's something simple I've overlooked but i would appreciate some help with getting this unit working. It's not even an important unit lol, it just irritates me that i can't get it to work! Thanks
Yeah, I am not sure why it does that, it does work in cuboid rooms and prefabs. There are some tricks, for example putting a power pill light on the other side of the wall. If you know how to scale glitch, you can even make a small pill light. There is no "native in-game" solution for it.
No mans sky when started isn’t overwhelming with possibilities, it’s more underwhelming as you have to go through so much to get alll the possibilities, you have to wait for awhile, you have to do this to get that to buy that, the things you need to do to get all the possibilities is overwhelming, that’s why I like creative mode, I get everything I need to have fun right there, I’d love to play in normal mode, but then I have to go through various stuff I find annoying, just to get to the point where I can have fun
You are judging this from the perspective of someone who already played the game (probably several times and long hours). For new Players they have no idea what is out there. Also it depends on how you like to play the game... the grind and unlocking of parts can be part of why players like NMS. Creative is there for those who do not like it. 😊
Not true. Once you unlock the portable refiner which is one of the first and earliest refiners you get in the game. And once you get that you can easily duplicate anything from s class upgrades, to nanites, to items, literally anything. Yesterday I literally duplicated a item worth 250,000,000 units each and made 4 billion units/dollars in under 10 minutes
I'd like to make a special shoutout to the Candelabra Bloom, literally the only lighting part in the game (at least that I know of) that actually creates light instead of just the illusion of light. It's obtained at the Quicksilver Vendor. Also, you can exploit all the quicksilver parts by unlocking them, and then reloading. Your quicksilver will be restored, but because the unlocked quicksilver stuff is saved account wide instead of per save, anything you unlocked before reloading will show as available instead of for sale.
Lol, the Candelabra is a great light source, would love to see some spot lights in the future (like the ones on the new landing pad). And yes, you can cheat your way into getting the QS items, but that was not the aim of this guide or my channel, Professor Cynical is the Exploit master... 😀
@@Beeblebum like I know there is at least 1 base item you can search and it gives you carbon I think it's a barrel or create but I think there are more than one.

Yeah, for being the lucky Gek... seems like I never got 4 of them.. lol.

Also worth noting that the tainted metal unlocks are shared across saves just like the quicksilver unlocks.
Where can you get all of the decorative plants like trees or flowers? I can't seem to find any guides talking about the non-functional plants.
As mentioned at (3:37) Decoration and Plants can be unlocked at the Quicksilver Merchant.

That is a good suggestion Kalanos, especially because we might get more parts in the future.
