A very smart player known as Daviller brought me here from the reddit, said this is the channel to watch for learning advanced farming and building I have rewatched the first 3 minutes 3 times. I already understand what he meant
18:59 Thank you very much for the new building methods! I am currently building Castel del Monte and I need window arches protruding from the walls. Your method of building two walls next to each other really helped me right now!
This is so cool. I just do a 4 by 4 and go on with my day, but all these tutorials have opened a whole world of possibilities ❤ keep up the awesome content
What an amazing video! Hope you do more videos of this type or maybe talkovers with you building in the background? I didnt know any of those things and now my head is full of ideas! 😊
I have been writing down some ideas I can cover in the next parts. I used to do quite a lot of building streams in the past... I might do more in the future.
@@Beeblebum as someone who never watched streams, i would love videos with the streams speed up/cut up with new voiceover explaining and maybe mentioning if something funny happened in stream :) just an idea since I know my adhd never watched streams but I would love a shorter more informative version of them 😂
Awesome building guide! I didn't know ANY of these things, and it was so easy to follow along with your video, you are a great teacher! I'm really looking forward to building bases again now 🤩
Hell yeah, great tips Beebs! They’re especially well timed after the last update changed up some of my planets. Most are frustrated with this, but I look at it as an opportunity to take what I’ve learned and build new bases and explore more again. And with all the new improvements in lighting and clouds, exploring is a real treat again. NMS is pretty much the only game I play, and I never walk away from it frustrated, only relaxed, and the sense that I’ve had a good day.
Thank you so much for this video, I have learn a ton today, your technic with the wall solves one of the biggest problems I have had with mixing parts.
Yes, I have heard many players having these issues - and while glitch building really can solve all of those - I totally understand how complex those might look. I am glad I could share some Vanilla ways to help you out! 😊
Awesome vid. I've been playing for years and storage containers are one of my annoyances. I love this idea and will try it out. Now that they hold way more it's easier to plonk just one down at a base until I have a freighter. I can't believe that at the time of this commet there's only one other comment about the worm. I know you worked hard for this video, and it was really informative, but your reaction to the worm was, by far, my favourite part! I react the same way 😂 Now, a whole video like the worm reaction or bloopers and I'm there!
I'm addicted to base building in NMS, for real! Thanks for showing your great hacks, they will all be very useful on my next creation!! New sub earned.
This is virtuous, humble, No Man’s Sky creativity at its finest. I’ve had builders block since I’ve come back to this game. Was looking for exactly this. Had to scroll through so many adjacent/wire glitch videos to get here. This will change my NMS life. Following! 👍 Thanks traveler!
Great to hear that! I have been trying to make a few Basic (non-glitch) guides in the previous months, so hopefully they all help you out a little. I think the "Light your Base" Tutorial might also be something you like. 😊
Thanks for explaining these non glitch build techniques, in particular explaining *why* I have to use two short walls for my arch balconies rather than just one. I really like the dodecagon cluster of storage rooms. I often build bases around a large central dodecagon room, so this would fit perfectly below that. I used to build my storage container rooms underground, to reduce their visual impact on the base, but I got fed up of having to dig out my access corridors, so now I build them under my landing pad. I've mostly used a 5 cuboid room long corridor with two clusters of 5 storage containers on each end, but I've always disliked the rotational asymmetry of it, compared to the landing pad itself, so this would probably work really well.
great video beebs your like the nms teacher lol, the windows in ther arches and the bank idea was great, worth making notes for.....keep up the great work, look forward to the next lesson!! ;)
Excellent video! Very informative! Nice and clear about what you're trying to achieve and how you go about doing it. Easy to follow and understand. Good work!
Hi Beeblebum!! It’s always great and enjoyable watching your build techniques. I have not built a fancy / complex base in a while and after 600+ hours in NMS I’m getting into Creative Mode. As always, thank you for your teaching videos.
Thank you Beeble, I'm never any good at experimenting with the builds. Some great ideas there. Really appreciate the work you put into making this video
Me too. I just found this great giant cave right next to an A class power source but just don't have the creativity of people like him. Best of luck with your base.
This is exactly the kind of building video I wanted to see. I find glitch building beyond adjacency and colour glitching far too frustrating to get a handle on. This is exactly the kind of building that I do. Using legitimate systems existing in the game and seeing what is possible. I would live to see an expanded video of this type of building at some point.
Thanks, I am writing suggestions down or ideas I get to share on my notes.. then I look into making some extra videos that share more applications to these techniques. 😊
Thanks for the tips with the storage containers especially,as I have a habit of hiding them away from my main building of under it because they're so bulky 😅
These videos are a must watch for any aspiring builder in NMS. I'm still getting the hang of it. I came from Satisfactory with hundreds of hours in base building and am shocked at how good I had it compared to the NMS building mechanics 😬
Well! That completely blew my skull wide open! Holy crap! I had no idea any of this could be done! I thought it all just sat there interfering with itself to no logical end. Incredible!
Dude, the whole video was great but the storage container stuff in particular was especially awesome! Definitely implementing it into my next base, thank you!!
I already knew about the gap that structure walls add between pre-fab corridors, but I never thought to use it to make double sided walls, great application!
These videos are so helpful! I have zero imagination when it comes to base building but somehow you always manage to give me new ideas anyway! Now, if only I could figure out how to put railings on a staircase without using free placement… 😭
There is actually a pretty easy technique - while we call it the tether glitch, its hardly a glitch, more of a hidden mechanic. I should look into making a guide for it - But currently focused on pure snapping techniques. But, if you check the stream I did last week, you can see me showing it - I timecoded the link: ua-cam.com/users/liveU0kXwBnft28?si=CdNKm4Mg4SlkUvEW&t=13324
Worth a sub just for the storage containers - just a fantastic design! I built mine slightly differently, inside the circle but facing into the centre of the circle - so I can stand on the central hexagon and access all the containers individually without moving. I like to store specific things in specific containers.
Amazing content clearly presented! I had no idea you could accomplish so much without glitch building. I will clearly have to spend more time messing about to discover all the possible permutations available using standard building techniques like you have.🤣 I would be curious to know if you’ve found an elegant way of closing the narrow triangular gaps created then placing outwardly sloping components on corners where 2 triangular floors (or walls built on them) meet? Keep up the inspirational work!
Thank you! I am not sure what issue you are talking about with the building parts... If you wish, you can join our discord and drop some screenshots to make it clearer. 😄
Hi Beebs As Always I Just Appreciate You And Your Videos As I've Learned So Much About This Game From You. So Grateful I've been watching you since last year. When my son started playing this game. I started playing at the end of january. It had been over thirty plus years since I played a video game like this. I love Astronomy space, the planet's de moon, the vastness of the sky and the stars in the galaxys. And I love this game. Thank you for such great videos. All the time. Always appreciate your videos much love and respect to you My friend. Always love to catch you when you're live, too. 🌌🌠🪐🌙🌌🚀🛸
For democracy, brother! I noticed your characters cosplay haha. Amazing video dude! I'm building in ways, that I thought, could never imagine ever being possible thanks to this video!
I can honestly say this video inspired me to build another base somewhere. So let me share a use for universal adjacency glitch trick I use: I use light boxes to help align the standing lockers you get from freighters to easily align them and make it look nice.
Yes, the Lightboxes are a great way to get perfect alignments, I used it for lockers, crates, container... I will get to some glitch guides in the future, once I am satisfied with the series of non glitch techniques. 😊
Loving that idea for the storage containers; too often I just put one shrunk container in and then sort everything out when I get to my freighter, but now I have ideas for building a whole storage room in my current "master" base! I'm not doing myself any favours, I've built a frame I like and need to fill it so I'm also learning just how twitchy some snap points are; was educational learning how they get limited, and it's helped me understand why what I'm doing seems to work sometimes but not others even when it looked like it should... Plenty to think about!
This was really great to watch. I just recently returned to the game after only trying it out a little before. The Worlds Part 1 Update made exploring so much fun. Now I'm slowly reaching a point where I got most building parts on my main save and I'm currently building up my freighter. But these tips will come in so handy when I'm done with the big ship and wanna make landfall again.
I do need to look into making a Freighter Basic building guide too.. but I will have to make a list of important information first.. Its hard to think basic after 8 years of playing a game.. haha
There is a lot of trickery on my channel... 😂 But, I did wanted to focus on a total glitch building free series for new players or players who can not or refuse to glitch build. 😊
Beeblebum, Ii have to tell you that you rocked that video. Well done, already made a storage room for my new base and can't wait to polish it up! Liked and subscribed, looking forward to more. Going to try your glitch building next to see what that's about.
Oh cool, thanks for the sub and enjoy the building adventure - One suggestion about glitch building - If it gets too hard, take a break, It can be really frustrating at first, but once the methods click, you open a whole new world!
Oh I will use these.....I have played this game a lot but couldn't settle on which planet to build on. Ye that changed with the Ice planet I found recently called Hoth.....Just kidding. Though it is Hoth now. It's name Was pretty close. "Hohiv IV" Best part is that there is a Black hole up in the sky and I can see it from the base. It's small and isn't all that close, but I am now on a mission to find a planet that is close to a Black hole.
This was super interesting and helpful! Do you have any tips or tricks for building with small floor panels and half ramps? I often find it impossible to snap these where I want to.
Whenever you have issues with snapping, most of the time its due to being to close with the camera or character near the snapping point. I normally move my camera away further to improve snapping locations. For Half stairs, If I have any issues with those, I will build a temporary wall - so the stairs can snap against it.
@@Beeblebum Thank you very much for the reply! The other issue I run into with these parts is that I often need to leave a gap in the floor underneath the half ramp to snap it in, but then I can’t seem to fill the floor underneath with small panels after placing the half ramp. Any tips for getting around that?
I really appreciate the reboot of your building series. It's great to have an _up to date_ guild with few legacy pieces. A challenge I have on the PS5 is when in camera mode pressing move piece initially moves it to a random position. Move your camera and the piece moves too. I also find it difficult to simply move a piece straight forward or backwards. Might you be able to create a tutorial on how to best use your controller to avoid problems like these?
Controllers are definitely difficult to keep straight lines, due to the stick drifting sideways. I hope the New "Leaked" Build Camera might improve this issue.
@@Beeblebum I'll be pleased with anything that improves controller editing, or editing in general. Do you know when the "leak" will be in general release?
That is awesome, finally something that doesn't require glitch building (that I find annoying tbh). It's really a shame that internal snap points don't exist for decorations, often equipment, and furnitures, the game cruelly lacks that
Personally I love Glitch Building - But I do believe many of the methods for snapping could be improved, internal snap points, Extra snap points that allow 3 axis rotation and so on.. Maybe with the leaked grid, this could happen - who knows.
@@Beeblebum yes, internal snap points ! Also, angle numerical values, at least for reference, overall, tools to do some of what glitch building allows, without the hassle of it. It's mind boggling that in 2024 NMS doesn't have tools for alignments of decorations/little pieces and circle shapes, outside of glitching
_"circle is a big word"_ just made me laugh, idk why 🤣and yes i do know what you meant It _almost_ goes without saying i love all your guides, even when i know the stuff (or think i do), but there now its said ❤ I wonder Beebs, have you thought of bringing to the masses, the work already done by Pharaoh on measurements and increments? Of course i know you wouldnt normally repeat someone else's work - and definitely not without credit - but some of his stuff is a little math-dense and with all the respect and love in the world to him for showing the world this stuff, you have a way of making these things seem/sound simpler to newer players and to imbeciles like myself Also im not entirely sure Pharaoh "finished" his guides, or maybe he assumed he gave us the basics and we could work the rest out ourselves, but i do still find myself struggling a little sometimes, even after re-watching his videos several times Again i feel i should say im very grateful to him, but you do have a wider audience, and a way of making things more easily understood I do, of course realise there are several reasons you might not want to do this Someone else's work, the time it would take you, and maybe even you dont feel it needs repeating But i would like to see it done at some point by someone And it seems like you almost touched upon some of it here No pressure at all, always do what makes YOU happy (that applies to everyone - except maybe serial criminals) and Pharaoh, if youre reading this, i hope you understand i meant no offence at all to you, i love your work ❤ Who knows maybe a collaboration is the answer Anyway ive babbled on enough, maybe too much, i kinda always wanted to see this, and now ive said it i can relax about it, and let you both decide whether to act or ignore upon my suggestion
Pharaoh has been amazing in figuring these things out, and did a lot research to many cool methods. Many of the techniques do involve glitch building, which is currently not my focus - As I want to make Basic Building guides first for a while. But thank you for your Love and watching as always! More content coming for sure! ❤️️
Fantastic video. I need help with a dilemma! I am trying flip a wall upside down and snap to the bottom of an existing wall. The goal is to utilize the sloping timber panels upside down to fill some negative space. There is a lot of wall space to cover with what I'm trying to do, so snapping would speed everything up as well as look the cleanest. How do I do this?
Sadly there is no Vanilla way to do this... The least complicated way would be the Tether Glitch (which is more of a funky mechanic than a glitch) Check out this guide: ua-cam.com/video/FurKLVb534A/v-deo.html - I explain the Tether Glitch at the 2nd minute. 👍
When you mention building the containers on the inside and outside of the circle, do you mean having the interfaces facing outward and inwards. How would you build it so the interfaces are facing inwards?
Once you have the circle set up, you can decide to either have the Containers be on the inside of the circle... where you walk around them. Or, you can decide build the containers in such a way they form a half moon where you have to walk inside the circle and have the containers around you facing towards the inside. Almost looking like a circular vault. If that makes sense.. lol.
@@illnameitlater Instead of putting the corridors on the inside of the circle, put them on the outside of the circle... Then put the Cuboid rooms on the inside of the Circle. That way you can remove the corridors and place the cargo containers instead. Place the cargo containers facing inwards.
You are such a good teacher. If you are not in education somehow, you are missing a opportunity.

@@Beeblebum I fall into that last category. 🙂
Beeblebum, Ii have to tell you that you rocked that video. Well done, already made a storage room for my new base and can't wait to polish it up! Liked and subscribed, looking forward to more. Going to try your glitch building next to see what that's about.
Oh cool, thanks for the sub and enjoy the building adventure -
One suggestion about glitch building - If it gets too hard, take a break, It can be really frustrating at first, but once the methods click, you open a whole new world!
Thanks I will try this. Looks so nice. I really like the windows as well.
That’s actually such a cool idea to have a black hole above your base. Realistically terrifying but very cool none the less!
Excellent, cheers!
Super helpful, thanks!
Beebs teaching people not to go too deep…😂
Sometimes all you need is at the top layers... 😜
great
Awesome, as always, ty!
Another sterling guide sir. Good stuff.
this guy's voice reminds me of Kurt Vondanegut the late you follow just and ancient aliens enthusiast
Nice, this will surely upgrade my builds
_"circle is a big word"_ just made me laugh, idk why 🤣and yes i do know what you meant
It _almost_ goes without saying i love all your guides, even when i know the stuff (or think i do), but there now its said ❤
I wonder Beebs, have you thought of bringing to the masses, the work already done by Pharaoh on measurements and increments?
Of course i know you wouldnt normally repeat someone else's work - and definitely not without credit - but some of his stuff is a little math-dense and with all the respect and love in the world to him for showing the world this stuff, you have a way of making these things seem/sound simpler to newer players and to imbeciles like myself
Also im not entirely sure Pharaoh "finished" his guides, or maybe he assumed he gave us the basics and we could work the rest out ourselves, but i do still find myself struggling a little sometimes, even after re-watching his videos several times
Again i feel i should say im very grateful to him, but you do have a wider audience, and a way of making things more easily understood
I do, of course realise there are several reasons you might not want to do this
Someone else's work, the time it would take you, and maybe even you dont feel it needs repeating
But i would like to see it done at some point by someone
And it seems like you almost touched upon some of it here
No pressure at all, always do what makes YOU happy (that applies to everyone - except maybe serial criminals) and Pharaoh, if youre reading this, i hope you understand i meant no offence at all to you, i love your work ❤
Who knows maybe a collaboration is the answer
Anyway ive babbled on enough, maybe too much, i kinda always wanted to see this, and now ive said it i can relax about it, and let you both decide whether to act or ignore upon my suggestion
Pharaoh has been amazing in figuring these things out, and did a lot research to many cool methods.
Many of the techniques do involve glitch building, which is currently not my focus - As I want to make Basic Building guides first for a while.
But thank you for your Love and watching as always! More content coming for sure! ❤️️
Is there a way to incorporate the worm into the base? Like a guard dog 🪱🐕
Then you'd never get your mail at that base. 😂
Haha.. It just pops up there regulary...
Moving to another location for the other episodes... 🤣
The least complicated way would be the Tether Glitch (which is more of a funky mechanic than a glitch)
Check out this guide: ua-cam.com/video/FurKLVb534A/v-deo.html - I explain the Tether Glitch at the 2nd minute.
If that makes sense.. lol.
@@Beeblebum Hey man. Appreciate the reply. So, if I'm understanding you right, just put the interfaces facing inward?
@@illnameitlater Instead of putting the corridors on the inside of the circle, put them on the outside of the circle... Then put the Cuboid rooms on the inside of the Circle. That way you can remove the corridors and place the cargo containers instead. Place the cargo containers facing inwards.
