    Thanks for explaining these non glitch build techniques, in particular explaining *why* I have to use two short walls for my arch balconies rather than just one.
    I really like the dodecagon cluster of storage rooms. I often build bases around a large central dodecagon room, so this would fit perfectly below that.
    I used to build my storage container rooms underground, to reduce their visual impact on the base, but I got fed up of having to dig out my access corridors, so now I build them under my landing pad. I've mostly used a 5 cuboid room long corridor with two clusters of 5 storage containers on each end, but I've always disliked the rotational asymmetry of it, compared to the landing pad itself, so this would probably work really well.

    Hell yeah, great tips Beebs! They’re especially well timed after the last update changed up some of my planets. Most are frustrated with this, but I look at it as an opportunity to take what I’ve learned and build new bases and explore more again. And with all the new improvements in lighting and clouds, exploring is a real treat again. NMS is pretty much the only game I play, and I never walk away from it frustrated, only relaxed, and the sense that I’ve had a good day.

    Awesome vid. I've been playing for years and storage containers are one of my annoyances. I love this idea and will try it out. Now that they hold way more it's easier to plonk just one down at a base until I have a freighter.
    I can't believe that at the time of this commet there's only one other comment about the worm. I know you worked hard for this video, and it was really informative, but your reaction to the worm was, by far, my favourite part! Loving that idea for the storage containers; too often I just put one shrunk container in and then sort everything out when I get to my freighter, but now I have ideas for building a whole storage room in my current "master" base! I'm not doing myself any favours, I've built a frame I like and need to fill it so I'm also learning just how twitchy some snap points are; was educational learning how they get limited, and it's helped me understand why what I'm doing seems to work sometimes but not others even when it looked like it should... Plenty to think about!

    Amazing content clearly presented! I had no idea you could accomplish so much without glitch building.
    I will clearly have to spend more time messing about to discover all the possible permutations available using standard building techniques like you have.🤣
    I would be curious to know if you’ve found an elegant way of closing the narrow triangular gaps created then placing outwardly sloping components on corners where 2 triangular floors (or walls built on them) meet?
    Keep up the inspirational work!

    _"circle is a big word"_ just made me laugh, idk why 🤣and yes i do know what you meant
    It _almost_ goes without saying i love all your guides, even when i know the stuff (or think i do), but there now its said ❤
    I wonder Beebs, have you thought of bringing to the masses, the work already done by Pharaoh on measurements and increments?
    Of course i know you wouldnt normally repeat someone else's work - and definitely not without credit - but some of his stuff is a little math-dense and with all the respect and love in the world to him for showing the world this stuff, you have a way of making these things seem/sound simpler to newer players and to imbeciles like myself
    Also im not entirely sure Pharaoh "finished" his guides, or maybe he assumed he gave us the basics and we could work the rest out ourselves, but i do still find myself struggling a little sometimes, even after re-watching his videos several times
    Again i feel i should say im very grateful to him, but you do have a wider audience, and a way of making things more easily understood
    I do, of course realise there are several reasons you might not want to do this
    Someone else's work, the time it would take you, and maybe even you dont feel it needs repeating
    But i would like to see it done at some point by someone
    And it seems like you almost touched upon some of it here
    No pressure at all, always do what makes YOU happy (that applies to everyone - except maybe serial criminals) and Pharaoh, if youre reading this, i hope you understand i meant no offence at all to you, i love your work ❤
    Who knows maybe a collaboration is the answer
    Anyway ive babbled on enough, maybe too much, i kinda always wanted to see this, and now ive said it i can relax about it, and let you both decide whether to act or ignore upon my suggestion

      Pharaoh has been amazing in figuring these things out, and did a lot research to many cool methods.
      Many of the techniques do involve glitch building, which is currently not my focus - As I want to make Basic Building guides first for a while.
      But thank you for your Love and watching as always! More content coming for sure! ❤️️

    That is awesome, finally something that doesn't require glitch building (that I find annoying tbh). It's really a shame that internal snap points don't exist for decorations, often equipment, and furnitures, the game cruelly lacks that

    • @Beeblebum

      Personally I love Glitch Building - But I do believe many of the methods for snapping could be improved, internal snap points, Extra snap points that allow 3 axis rotation and so on.. Maybe with the leaked grid, this could happen - who knows.

      @@Beeblebum yes, internal snap points ! Also, angle numerical values, at least for reference, overall, tools to do some of what glitch building allows, without the hassle of it. It's mind boggling that in 2024 NMS doesn't have tools for alignments of decorations/little pieces and circle shapes, outside of glitching

    I really appreciate the reboot of your building series. It's great to have an _up to date_ guild with few legacy pieces.
    A challenge I have on the PS5 is when in camera mode pressing move piece initially moves it to a random position. Move your camera and the piece moves too. I also find it difficult to simply move a piece straight forward or backwards.
    Might you be able to create a tutorial on how to best use your controller to avoid problems like these?

    • @Beeblebum
      @Beeblebum  2 місяці тому

      Controllers are definitely difficult to keep straight lines, due to the stick drifting sideways.
      I hope the New "Leaked" Build Camera might improve this issue.

    This was super interesting and helpful! Do you have any tips or tricks for building with small floor panels and half ramps? I often find it impossible to snap these where I want to.

    • @Beeblebum
      @Beeblebum  Місяць тому +1

      Whenever you have issues with snapping, most of the time its due to being to close with the camera or character near the snapping point. I normally move my camera away further to improve snapping locations.
      For Half stairs, If I have any issues with those, I will build a temporary wall - so the stairs can snap against it.

      @@Beeblebum Thank you very much for the reply! The other issue I run into with these parts is that I often need to leave a gap in the floor underneath the half ramp to snap it in, but then I can’t seem to fill the floor underneath with small panels after placing the half ramp. Any tips for getting around that?

    Fantastic video. I need help with a dilemma! I am trying flip a wall upside down and snap to the bottom of an existing wall. The goal is to utilize the sloping timber panels upside down to fill some negative space. There is a lot of wall space to cover with what I'm trying to do, so snapping would speed everything up as well as look the cleanest. How do I do this?

    • @Beeblebum
      @Beeblebum  2 місяці тому

      Sadly there is no Vanilla way to do this...
      The least complicated way would be the Tether Glitch (which is more of a funky mechanic than a glitch)
      Check out this guide: ua-cam.com/video/FurKLVb534A/v-deo.html - I explain the Tether Glitch at the 2nd minute. 👍

    When you mention building the containers on the inside and outside of the circle, do you mean having the interfaces facing outward and inwards. How would you build it so the interfaces are facing inwards?

    • @Beeblebum
      @Beeblebum  3 місяці тому +1

      Once you have the circle set up, you can decide to either have the Containers be on the inside of the circle... where you walk around them. Or, you can decide build the containers in such a way they form a half moon where you have to walk inside the circle and have the containers around you facing towards the inside.
      Almost looking like a circular vault.
      If that makes sense.. lol.

      @@illnameitlater Instead of putting the corridors on the inside of the circle, put them on the outside of the circle... Then put the Cuboid rooms on the inside of the Circle. That way you can remove the corridors and place the cargo containers instead. Place the cargo containers facing inwards.
