I used to buy French Butter Cookies at Costco, but they went to online only...and Amazon wants almost $30 for one box, that based on reviews will arrive in pieces. I was just about to accept I'd never eat them again, then Googled a recipe and found your video! I just ordered my fluted cookie cutter and will get to making my own!!! Nothing better than a butter cookie and specially a recipe that everything required to make it is a household staple!
Lol Kevin you are funny 😂 your oven has the same phenomenon as peoples dryers when the socks go missing ❤️. Those cookies look fabulous I can't wait to try them they would go lovely with an afternoon tea!
These are beautiful cookies. I really love butter cookies of any sort, but these are extra nice! I love how you use shot glasses to put small quantities of measured ingredients. That is a great idea! Thank you for the great video and recipe! Enjoy your cookies and the rest of your day! 😊🙏❤🍪
I love these cookies. I've never made them; thanks for the recipes. I'm going to the store today and I'll get some premium European butter. The buttery taste is what makes these cookies so delicious.
can't wait to try this cookie...I happen to have some irish butter that would just fit the bill:)
Thank you for another great recipe; what a nice cookie with a cup of tea. Fall is the perfect time for warm cookies and tea. 🫖
I love to bake cookies so I will definitely put this recipe on my list of new recipes to try.
I wish we were neighbors. “Hi! Can I get a cup of sugar? Oh, and a half dozen of whatever you’re baking?” 😉☺️💜😄
I'm gathering 99.9% of your biscuit recipes! Instead of buying any biscuits for afternoon tea with a delicious cup of Earl Grey! You make good clear videos Kevin! All well tested including the taste testing!
French butter cookies is one of my favorite cookies 😋
They turned out so pretty! Nothing better than a crispy buttery cookie!
Yay for French butter cookies onscreen and off. How wonderful! 💛 Thankyou for sharing and the hatch markings are so beautiful on the cookie. Can't wait to try this week! 💛
Here I am learning this recipe from an American guy 🙈. But seriously, well done!
Looks so good. Thanks for the recipe
Yum! Nothing better than a simple but elegant butter cookie. I've only ever made shortbread, so this will be something new to try. Thanks as always for your clear and careful instructions.
I just love you! For some reason, I'm starting to believe that you forget to preheat the oven just to make me smile.
Thank you for another wonderful thing to cook.

Love these!!! I had to laugh at the end as I was going to ask if these freeze well!
Great recipe, and beautiful detail on the cookies. This reminds me somewhat of Scottish Shortbread!
These look so good!! I want some now lol 😭
Perfect, as ever, Kevin.
Looks very yummy 😋, thanks for sharing
Being French, I will need to try your lovely recipe🥰
Looks like my mom's delicious Christmas Cookies. Can't wait to try. Thanks for sharing Yummyness! 🥰😋🥳Happy Christmas 🎄
Thank U Kevin... Perfect Cookies
I got addicted to these in France. I was laughing when this came up because I planned on getting them on one of my now rare trips to the Farmer's Market in Atlanta this morning. The Farmer's Market is the one thing I miss most about in town living at my age.
I get them at Costco but only around Christmas. Thanks for the recipe
@Jennifer N may I ask which Farmers Market you get the cookies from. I live East of the city, are you referring to the Dekalb Farmers Market? Thanks for the info. Hey, our Braves won The World Series last night!!!! I wasn’t born and raised here, but we’re Braves fans.
@@debrajones5833 I get them from the European aisle at Buford Highway Farmer's Market. I was shocked to hear they made the playoffs. Good for them. I don't have a TV so I'm usually blissfully unaware. 😁
Thank you.
Those look really yummy and very easy to make. I bet they would go good with some fig jam smeared on top. 😋
I'm going to make some I have made butter cookies but I like the way you used parchment paper to roll them out
STRONG WORK KEVIN 😎😎😎
Hi Kevin, new sub here to your really lovely channel. The cookies snagged me, but your sweet, forthright demeanor reeled me in!
These are the recipes of my generation, many I had completely forgotten about. Brings up memories of my mom and her wonderful farm cooking.🙏🏼🤗
I'm so glad you enjoy this channel. Thank you for subscribing!
LOL! Warm Butter Cookies tend to evaporate.
not sorry about using your fingers-- if your hands are clean they are one of your best tools in the kitchen!!! you just reminded me i need to shake my bottles that are brewing!! 😂faster way to cut out the cookies would be to form a log in cling film and chill then just slice --way faster and then you do not have to overwork the dough by putting it back together and rerolling it!! love butter cookies!! they look great!!
Thanks. I think, these cookies are perfect always. If you want have newly taste possibility add a little bit semolina (one or two tea spoon) and salt in crystals. Crunch taste, like it may be you like too.
Clean fingers are the best spatulas, kevin. Don’t apologize.
I love a good butter cookie. They're hard to find in a store but now I can make them myself! I'm glad they freeze well, l was going to ask that. Looks like I'm going to have to get a fluted cutter. (BTW, my 1950s Betty Crocker Cookbook arrives tomorrow)!
A non-fluted biscuit cutter will work as well for these cookies. Have fun with the "new" cookbook!
@@kevinleejacobs1364 I already ordered it, and a new meat thermometer. You've inspired me to do more cooking! I'm slow-cooking some ribs right now and made a potato salad. It's unseasonably warm and sunny here in MN but it won't last long 🍁🍂🎃
"Can you even see?" *Adjusts camera* "Yes, I think you can see." lol
Nice simple recipe that came out awesome🤗 What size mixing bowl is that? My mixer came w a small bowl.
My glass mixing bowl is the same size as the metal bowl that came with my mixer: 5 quart capacity. I ordered the glass bowl so that people can "see" the mixing action!
👏🏻💛👏🏻💛
Try placing damp paper towel on counter surface and keeps paper fromm moving
What temp for oven? Sorry didn't hear it.
Hi Jerri - Oven temp is 350°F. More details in the description below the video (click "show more"). If you want to print out the recipe, just head over to my website (linked in the description). Hope you enjoy these cookies!
