- "All Right Now" is a song by English rock band Free. It originally appeared on the band's third studio album Fire and Water (1970), which Free recorded on the Island Records label, formed by Chris Blackwell. Released as the album's second single, "All Right Now" hit number 2 on the UK Singles Chart and number 4 on the US Billboard Hot 100 singles chart. In July 1973, the song was re-released, reaching number 15 on the UK chart.
"All Right Now" was a number 1 hit in over 20 territories and was recognized by ASCAP (American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers) in 1990 for garnering 1,000,000 plus radio plays in the U.S. by late 1989. In 2006, the BMI London awards included a Million Air award for 3 million air plays of "All Right Now" in the USA. The song also remains as a staple of classic rock radio.

It is disgusting that this man, and FREE are not in the Hall of Fame. He should be in as part of FREE as well as part of Bad Company. If Donna Summers is in there, there is no reason Paul is not.
I believe he rejected the Hall.
His voice is as good as it was in 1970. I always played this on the radio and at wedding receptions.
It was allright then, it's allright now and it will be allright forever.
better now
That fact that this man IS NOT in the RHoF is proof positive that we NEED A REAL RHoF.
Paul Rodgers is one of the greatest vocalist/ performers of all time!
The Greatest long game in rock vocals
There's plenty better
@@keithjennings5221 Oh please.
I cannot put into words how much I preferred him singing with Queen compared to Adam Lambert. He brought his music to the music of Queen, and it was a fantastic show. Lambert is just too intent of being the centre of attention, he tries to be Freddie, and that annoys the hell out of me.
@@keithjennings5221 At the same age? Yeah, try again.
That’s awesome how they honor Paul Kossoff with all the pictures and videos of him on the big screen. Much respect.
I believe that Paul Rodgers is one of the best rock vocalists ever. He STILL sounds absolutely brilliant.
WAU! If only all 72 years were as healthy as this man - looking good and still got that voice
Wow this song never gets old and what a fantastic voice Rogers still has ….. you gave me goosebumps my man.😃
This dude is in his 70's? This guy could pass as someone in their early 50's, and like a good early 50's.
72 years old! How can this man still sing as he used to do at his young age?
He's freaking Paul Rogers is how. LOL
@@johnguin510 XD
@Stephen Small INDEED
Fore me,, his voice is better.. I've seen him live a Dozen times. He signed his C-D. fore me.. he lives clean. Never went the Drug route. Takes care of himself..
Paul's kept his voice because he doesn't drink smoke and looks after himself
The sheer simplicity of this great song cannot be underestimated... a great riff, a flowing bass line, a solid beat and outstanding vocals.. so much space and gaps for the entire band to be heard. There is a lesson for every band to learn here.
Yes, absolutely! It really is quite notable for all the space which makes it build to the crescendo of the chorus… The tension to have the space filled! It just goes to show that they have good music. You don’t need to have a lot of notes.
👍
Exact same unbelievable Voice for over 50 years. Unreal.... Truly one of the greatest ever.
He hasn't shortened his vocal life by abusing drugs and alcohol
I think he's better now that he's cut out all those stupid stage prancing antics that he used to get up to.
@@rogermoore2798 . . I agree. The best way to do your job . . is to do your job!
Pretty much the quintessential rock voice..love it
I’ve been saying it since I was a kid, Paul Rodgers is an all-timer! Amazing vocals at 73 dang!!
It's ridiculous how talented Paul Rodgers is.
And there's not big show around him, just the voice and the band;)
Still got it and hasn't lost anything.
Amazing! Paul sounds even better than he did in the 70s - if that's even possible, but as we see, it certainly is!
I'm just thrilled that he is still here to keep bringing the good vibes our way. 💜
Paul Rodgers and Sammy Hagar are in their 70's, and have not lost ANY...of their vocal prowess. Simply timeless!
Why isn’t this man in the hall of fame
Because the Rock and Hall of Fame is a joke. ridiculous politics.
Is free in the hall of fame ? If not then why aren't they is what I want to know
Because he doesn't need to be. Why would he want to drop his standards?
It cost $ over 100k too Enter the HOF!
It's a poser organization. Way too selective in who is in and who is not. Certainly both of his bands should be in.
Loved that gesture of his to let the little boy sing in to the mic.. big voice.. bigger heart..
His voice is as robust as a fine whiskey aged in an oak barrel. Amazing!
doesn't get any better than this.
In one selfless moment Paul puts the mic in the face of a young fan and made a memory for him that will last a lifetime.... Paul, thank you! Fun song to cover by the way... so iconic!
It's not a cover when you wrote it and made it a hit, lol.
@@mandyg8022 I don't think he meant it that way. I read it like it was a fun song for David (or anyone else) to cover.
@@MusicLover-gn2di that makes sense--not sure where my head was at.
@@mandyg8022 Misinterpreting a reply can be easy to do. I've done it many times myself. Happens to the best of us. ;)
Actually its a little hard to cover the guitar, as the original recording is 2 guitars.
This song is everything a classic rock song should be…it’s perfect just like his voice still is ❤
Agree!
yeaah, I miss that kind of music those days :( TRUE rock
Yessss!!!
Totally agree.
Greatest single ever.
Still doing it at 74 and new album is SUPERB!!
That is one of the greatest voices in ROCK n ROLL
Compared to all the lead singers that are still performing from his and my era this guy blows them away absolutely superb !
Ian Anderson was one of the best singers of the 70’s, but sadly his voice didn’t age anywhere near as well as Paul Rogers.
@@johnwilliams1223 yes I agree with you I seen Ian Anderson about 4yrs ago , he was still good but you can tell it wasn’t as good as it used to be 👍
Rodgers and Farner compete for OG resilient lead singer top slot.
Paul doesn't blow Sammy Hagar's voice away! Sammy is still amazing!
Glenn Hughes still hits the highs and tours and releases albums you should check him out he really is the voice of rock
Paul's voice has aged beautifully, if even at all.
Fantastic!!!
I love watching 1970 era raw Paul Rodgers. He deserves all the accolades possible, because he still can move you, 50 years later
Paul Rogers is a gift to Rock 'n Roll music!
🌹Paul is so talented plus fantastic front man .. always smiling ! 🌹
Hands down the greatest front man in rock'n roll! All these youngsters need to take notes. Thank you Paul for continuing to rock and bring us beautiful memories and music.✌️🤘
Paul Kossoff !!!
@@johanstaelens5194 paul Kossof was a guitarist in “ Free” who died of a drug overdose
How the hell does he still sound this good 😮
Every time I hear his voice it's like running into an old friend at your favorite bar. You just want to sit down and listen to everything they have to tell you.
Oh my God! WOW. Best version I have ever heard
one of few men manteining the same voice through 50 years! great great performer!
he still sings like he's still in his 20's. Wow.
I'm 72 and still sing every day.
Paul is so smooth.
He can’t help himself . Age is a number. He is and will always be the best rock voice! Rock on! White Rock loves you! 👍
The best rock voice ever in rock history...!!
Paul is UNBELIEVABLE!!!He's so BADASS, always has been & always will be!!! 💜
Is this performance recorded only recently?
@@barriejackson965 I'm not really sure, but I believe it is!
He looks and sounds Awesome 👏 Miss the 70’s.
Like 50 years ago! A lot of thanks for Free, Bad Co, Firm,...... Long live RNR!
After All These Years & Still Sounding Fabbbmazzzing.......... 🤘😎🤘💝💝💝
Paul Rodgers, the great rock n roll prophet showing how it’s done
THE first perfect rock song. Sung by one of best ever, ever, forever.
Is this performance recorded just recently, it's hard to tell?
I remember when "All Right Now" was first released. It really lit up the airwaves. Every garage band in America put it on their set list. It's easy to play well and it sounds awesome.
Simply The BEST
What is like being SHADOW BANNED; ONE LIKE and THAT'S ME!
For 40+ years he has been the finest user of a microphone in the world. Youngsters can learn a lot from watching him.
Over 50 years!
I first saw Free in a pub in Ealing in the late '60s. 55 years ago and he still sounds great
no need to turn back the clock with Mr. Rodgers. Still has a powerful , soulful voice.
Paul Rodgers is so friggin good! What an iconic voice!❤
The most beautiful piece of this great performance was when he shared the mike with a precious brother and made a beautiful memory for the young man and all who watched
The guy's still got it. makes me feel young ! So don't quit just yet.
At first I thought this was a early 00's concert but no its a mid 2022 concert. This mans voice is Rock and Roll. Wow what a nice surprise.
Paul is a genuine legend, followed free from the beginning, got all the albums, the top of british bands.
He does the Brits proud, for real!
check out video " bad company" live,
I saw Paul in approx 2009 and on that night Mich Ralphs was playing guitar,....both were incredible,....thank you Paul for taking such good care of yourself so we can have some real live music.
For me Paul Rodgers has the greatest Rock voice of all time from back in the Free days to his Uk Free spirit tour I know it’s too much ask but wish he could do one more time in the Uk
Paul was at his best with free in the early days when his voice was raspy coarse and full of swagger and menace as he got older it seemed to have got cleaner
This song makes me feel good all over, "The Happy Days" of Music...😊🙏💞😉...
When all the people started chanting my eyes were wet.......LONG LIVE ROCK!
A class act. A wonderful human being and one hell of a rock and roll singer!
I just love this man.i play this song everyday. Before I do anything makes my day great.thank you Paul Rodgers
He can still belt it out. This song still pumps me up more than 50 years later.
such a voice. my first favorite song since 1972
WOW !! I have Always Loved This Song ! 72 God Bless Him Still ROCKS This Song !!
have always loved this song & his voice. in every band he was in. just learned that he lives nearby & went to a show at the club he owns the other night. great food, great service. good music too.
What an Amazing voice and looks great for 72. He is so good. Steve Marriot and Paul best vocals ever. No stopping him
What a way to make my morning!! Love it!! My very favorite all time rock and roll song. Keep rocking Paul, the world still needs to rock…
My favourite singer of all time, and one day I hope to hear him sing this bloody song all the way through.
For those that haven't yet, you really need to go back & check out ALL the Free albums, this is just 1 of many, many great songs in their catalogue. Extremely underrated, you won't be sorry.
All of them!
Think I will my friend.
Absolutely!
Heartbreaker by them in Japan live is awesome
The first 4 albums are there best from Tons Of Sobs to Highway they were brilliant
Paul's got a great voice that comes out powerful seemingly without any effort whatsoever. So fortunate.
One of Freddie Mercury's favorites for a reason....God bless you Paul!
I was about to mention post-Freddie Queen having Paul as vocalist. We’ve only seen two people who can do that without humiliation or embarrassment.
Mercury , overrated second-rate overplayed CRAP !!!!!!!!!
@@DeeEllEff Two? I find Adam Lambert is an embarrassment to Queen. Yes, he can sing the songs, but he tries to be Freddie and that doesn't work for me. I much preferred the tour Paul did with the band.
@@barcham Ouch. Well, OK then, we can scratch the word “embarrassment.” But since he *can* sing, I’d say he’s not humiliating himself. So I’ll go with that.😉
Paul was born to Rock and Roll
Incredible! I saw the original Free line up 5 times in my teens in Newcastle. Free live has to be one of the best live albums ever.
Love it when the audience gets blown away with the artist and band too!
Paul Rodgers still has his voice. He must take good care of himself! I think it's great that he can still sing!
The first rock n' roll song I remember hearing as a 5-6 year old child. I danced to this song endlessly in my bedroom!! It's one of my all time favorites!! Thank you FREE [band], and thank you Paul Rodgers!! Your voice sparked my early love of music, and your voice lives in my heart... I LOVE your voice!! ❤❤❤
Paul Rodgers!!!! Great Voice!
The best rock singer ever! Amazing!
I remember the first time I heard this song was back in Jr high in 1970.
Have been a fan of Paul's ever since.
From Free to Bad Company to the Firm, his solo work to his time touring with Queen.
Sexy, storming, epic, guitar riffing 70s rock at it's dirtiest best with the magnificent Paul Rodgers sounding like he's still 20!
My most favorite song of all time.
Paul’s voice is a gold mine.Rock on Paul!!!👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Just simply one of the best voices in history!
This voice is one of the absolute best in rock and roll. His phrasing is perfect and he never drops notes.
Paul always sang correctly and has that soul r/b blues voice that won't get lost. Others must of just not had the blessing PR has had. I think he is very healthy as well.
Consistent volume, tone, pitching, support, and style at all times
Paul is such a vocal badass & frontman it's crazy!🍻
When I watch skilled (older) musicians revisit a song like this, I realize that the composition itself is not as tied to the idea of rock youth as I might have thought when I first heard it lo those many years ago. Yes, Rodgers is still a wonderfully skilled performer. But what really shines through is that a great song-in the sense of its every twist and turn burning itself into your memory-is something that the original performers artfully gave body and life. And then here we are, crowds of people, vibing along to it because we can't forget it. Seeing that crowd of my fellow oldies sharing the moment was incredibly moving. Give Rodgers credit for being there when it was given its memorable form and for graciously revisiting it to give groups of people a chance to sing along. For me, this is a reminder that rock music has many of these brilliant pieces of craft that use rock song forms as skillfully as Shakespeare did the sonnet.
I saw him and Ian Anderson at the wild horse saloon in tenn. Yrs ago. That was a unbelievable evening
Because he was the best then and he's still the best now! 😊
This fellas still on fire
paul rodgers is the man with the golden voice, like a good wine he just gets better. rock on!
Iconic Rock and Roll vocals period. This guy was born to be a star! Paul Rodgers is amazing and still rocking it. Now this is music my friends,in your face with the anthem, All Right Now.
Superb vocals…Paul is simply a legend👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
this man was born to sing rock and roll, one of the greatest vocalist of all time, if you wanted to sing in a band this is the cat to emulate
Hard to think so many young average singers . This man different planet . Micky Thomas too I have seen both these singers at 70 . And wow god bless the singer !
One of the greatest rock singers of all time (and in one of the greatest rock bands of all time) FREE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
his voice was getting stronger with every year.....perfect now!
Love you Paul. Greatest rock singer ever!!
