Any tips for drilling the protector? I was going back and forth on what bit to use saw your video and went and got a spade bit now on reddit I see a guy claiming don't use a spade bit lol
Yes. I actually made a follow-up video that better explains the control deck ua-cam.com/video/qHmjjZDTncA/v-deo.html Use the spade bit. It's 1 1/2". Make sure its brand new and sharp. I purchased mine from the local Harbor Freight. Worked like a charm. Just make sure its spinning before you start putting weight into the drill, that should prevent it from cracking.
It’s crazy they’re selling these machines the way that yours is modded for $1000 online. Is it worth it? With the modifications you have and having the raspberry pi three running the whole thing? I bought the Pac-Man Galaga one for $300 at Walmart but I’m planning on selling it since I want some thing that has more games and the ability to have four people play at once. I just literally bought it last week lol
Very nice job! I just setup my Pi4 Emulation Station and noticed that the turtles are not mapped correctly. Mikey is staring Leo when adding a coin for example. Are you having this issue too and how did you resolve it? Thank you
Thanks! Yes, I have had similar issues on all 4 player games. You need to go into the retroarch menu and correctly setup the controllers for the 4-player games, and then save the configuration.
How do they mate, if got the same arcade machine tmnt as you iv also put the same buttons on ot it but I'm having trouble with my raspberry pi only detecting 3 of my 4 usb ports could you help.at all please
@@MatrixPrime So im having issue when it says 4 game pads detected. I go through the configure process of mapping buttons. After I'm done the only player that works in game is player 4. Any idea the issue?
MatrixPrime I bought the same kit you did. Quick question. How did you get the player 1-4 buttons to color coordinate? My coin buttons and players buttons are clear.
Should have done Purple for Donatello. Also should have added the “coin” buttons as blue, yellow, purple and red on the base deck where the coin inserts were in the OG cabinet
kit doesn't include purple as an option, you'd have to literally buy everything separate. Also, there are no additional colored buttons for the coin buttons, you'd again have to order them separate from the kid.
I just started this same project. Your video has helped tremendously! Thank you!
Very nice. I am jealous of the deck protector, I mangled mine and have been battling clear coating. Looks great!
What type of bit did you try using?
Thats crispy!

I just got a pre-made deck from X-99 lives. I have all LED happ buttons and a green LED trackball in my deck.
Nice!! I would love to get my TMNT modded!
I highly recommend it. It makes the machine more functional, and its pretty simple to do.
MatrixPrime do you have a step by step video.
I don’t but I used this one - ua-cam.com/video/09DQCOr6zQM/v-deo.html
What interface is this? Looks super nice for the arcade theme

And you used the original deck that came with it? This is like an ideal mod. Only 160 bucks in parts really...

Would you consider drilling holes for the control panel and deck protector for people who want to ship it to you for a estimate price of doing it?
Not sure on that....that's some pretty expensive shipping back and forth, plus additional costs on my end of something breaks.

Could have a few bad things here...
USB cable
USB controller
USB port on the pi itself

@@MatrixPrime nice didnt know if you could do that il do the same thanks bud
Which software image did you use? Are you having any button mapping issues?

@@MatrixPrime Either way, still an awesome job. I’m too lazy and looking at Arcade Mod Up at the moment lol.
