That's weird. This case makes the Strix card look like a Founder's edition :P
I didn't know radeon was nvidia
There is no way you can fit RTX 3090 Asus strix on this case
@@capslock247gaming9 bruh you can
@@capslock247gaming9 isn't the cooler essentially the same?
hek yea the color is kinda synchronized
edit: dayum that's stealthy
I had a dream where you told us your bench and squat numbers. Sadly only a dream ;)
Was going to like, but it's at 69.
@@qwertyferix keep that number man. lol. i did the same.
He told us in previous videos.
I would also ask for the deadlift 1RP, don't ignore those traps.
Pretty sure he's said how much he can press b4 in comments.
Was waiting for your review on this! Thank you!!
Another SFF build video from Optimum Tech! Heck yeah
We eating!!!
Not so small form factor looking at footprint of the case... Being 4.5cm shorter and 2.5cm narrower than Meshify 2 Compact is practically nothing when it's sitting on the desk.
@@veduci22 well but if you take the height into account, Meshify 2 Compact then comes in 39.4 liters, against NR200P MAX’s 18.3 liters.
Not everyone puts a mid-tower on the desk as you do.
Imagine if he started making fitness videos. That would be god tier.
@@xiqy1959 what would be epic is if he followed the same format as these videos...
This has to be by far my fav case! Seriously, has everything I have been asking for! Good video!
CoolerMaster has really been doing their homework. The NR200/P was already amazing, and the MAX version is such a practical combo.
as always, great video! thanks!
cooler master is like pre and post nr200, like they weren't doing anything interesting before it for over a decade and suddenly...bang for buck best itx case. I'm glad it wasn't a one time fluke
didnt do enough hw to discover the usb c front panel
are the p and max version sizes the same?

Awesome, thanks for highlighting this product it had simplified my whole plan for the power PC build thank you!
Loving the process of building the PC included in the videos! 🙌🏽
Just built an Xproto similar to the one you built before.
Wow that case is actually smartly built. And I can definitely see how the engineers had the builder in mind, as they have made installing everything super simple.
Awesome video and build guide. A pleasure to watch!
Great video! :D
Would love to see a custom loop build using this case. Curious to see if it's easier and/or more performant than the original NR200P!
Very nice video! 👍🏼 hope you are planning a custom loop too. Can’t wait for it.
After much back and forth and literally ordering and trying two alternatives, I finally went with this. Sacrificing the overall size for performance I believe will be worth.
I tried the H1 V2 and the lack of control over the pump/PSU fan and how damn LOUD it is at idle just made the case not worth it.
Thanks as always for your reviews/builds man! Really helped me make an informed decision.
Great video! I got the NR200P TG earlier in the year as my first SFF upgrade and I absolutely love it. I'm currently running an AMD stock cooler though. Any idea if the cooler and riser cable shown here that come with the MAX are currently, or will be, available separately?
thanks for making my decision for my series 12 build mate
beautiful cinematography as always
bro, this dude came out of nowhere on my homepage and i just love this guy.
I bought the NR200 and it was so hard to build with all the cables and Side mount AIO, And my overall cost was way higher: 170 for a 750W SFX PSU, 120 for 280 AIO and not even having Riser Cable. $350 for a 850 PSU and a 280mm AIO, a Gen-4 Riser and a premium case sure seems like a steal
Wow, looks great. Thanks for the video!
I love my NR200P (I air cool mine), but if this was available when I was first building, I would have 100% gone this route just for the simplicity of the build!
I’m with you there. I finally finished my ITX build in the NR200 (Aorus B550I Pro AX, Ryzen 5 5600X, Geforce RTX 2080 Ti that I’d been using in an eGPU setup with my Alienware 17 R5, 32 GB GSkill 3600 MHz RAM, 2 TB Samsung 980 Pro, 4 TB XPG SX8100, Cooler Master V850 Power Supply (I think the same one that the MAX is kitted with, and about as much air cooling as I could reasonably fit), and having the power supply included would have made the build a bit more streamlined.
I’m quite happy with how my build came out, though I had to split my parts that I didn’t already have out over a period of months so it took a lot of time before I could get it built.
Preliminary tests are looking pretty good so far :)
NR200P Sakura (The Pink one) with the Aorus Pro AX B550I, 5950X and 3090FE. 280mm AIO at the Sidemount. The only problem i had was Cablemanagment, since the FE has a Fan on the back.
I wouldn't go with the MAX. It doesn't use the chimney-effect or the flowthrough of the 3090FE properly. ^^
@@gucky4717 Yeah, cable management was tricky for me as well. I might try to mess with my cables a little bit more to see if I can get things a bit tidier, but there isn’t a whole lot messing with airflow so I’ll go with it for a while.
Yeah this is a real good deal, especially with that 850 watt psu!
@@gucky4717 "Machines and More" seems to have found that intake from both bottom and top is the way to go with the Max.
I was looking this ITX case on Amazon and BOOM! This video appeared. Thank you for your revealing review
Love the review! Thorough build guide. I think this is a surprisingly good value proposition. Seems like almost an all around upgrade from the OG nr200p
Will be list on my next build.. Thanks a lot!
Hey great video as always! I’m seriously considering to do my next build in this and start my itx journey. I was just wondering, can you put 140mm fans at the bottom instead of 120 as long as they are slim ? Also, wouldn’t it be more logical to position those bottom fans as intake with the vented panel ?
Love your videos man. Definitely the go-to channel for all things ITX. This case is nice...just wish it had a type C port.
Like the fact this is kinda geared towards new sff builders, thanks man
Thanks for clearify the bottom fan clearance with vertical GPU!!
this is the BEST ad I have seen on YT. Great production bro
I didn't think they could make the NR200P better, but they did. And this direction is quite good for first-time builders. The integrated components coming w/ this kit are a seriously good value, too.
If you know what you're doing, the original is much better than the Max version.
@@justaemptymall Can you elaborate on that statement?
@@emmanuelblot4643 would like to know aswell. Gonna go full amd build in the future with this case. First time builder
@@justaemptymallwell... i mean thats the op's point innit,
Beginners wouldnt really know what they're doing, so having the max with a lot of parts pre-installed is nice
Love how they fixed the number 1 issue of the nr200 being that it was nearly impossible to get a top mounted aio, and the guys at GN found that putting an aio at the bottom of the case was a terrible idea.
Yes and no. It is possible to mount a Slim 240mm Radiator with slim Fans at the Top after some minor (invisible) modding in the NR200P. If you want to Custom Watercool the MAX you are stuck with a single RAD, while the NR200P can have 2x240mm or even more.
And the sidemount AIO on the normal NR200P is OK too, since the RAD is the highest point + the Fans cool the Board quite nice.
@@gucky4717 if the mod u meant is cutting some part of the case with tools like dremel, then no. Im not against it, but if u count that as "possible to fit" X then practically any case can be modded to be like that provided they have the proper dimensions.
@@Crustee0 I know I've seen a few people fit a slim rad with slim fans like @Gucky mentioned without doing the full inverted mod, like I think you're talking about. CoolerMaster actually made quite a few things in the NR200P to allow the case to be flipped, allowing a top mounted AIO. Top and bottom plates have exact same mounting system, they're interchangeable.
It's actually kind of a bummer its not invertible out of the box, It would have been so easy, and then the NR200P would have been basically unstoppable and there would have been no need for the MAX variant.
if your pump is on the radiatior, you can probable do the rad lower than the block easier
@@salty1099 Depends...in the NR200P there is not much room in my config at least.
The 3090FE takes up the lower portion and my 280mm AIO is so long, that i have to unscrew the entie front of the Case to get it in...
If there is a pump in the Rad it wont fit, if it is a 280mm at least.
De todos os vídeos que eu assisti sobre este modelo de gabinete, a COOLER MASTER NR200P e você são os melhores. De forma simples você mostrou que é possível usar peças grandes que é quase impossível de imanar que tudo iria ficar bonito e organizado. Continue assim nessa pegada Top!
Cooler Master is killing it with the NR200 line, excited to see them bring what they learned from this line to another line in the future. Maybe an smaller itx case?
Been very excited to pick this up but havent seen a buy link go live yet anywhere!
This video was super clean
Everything in this NR200PM looks so perfect: the color, the mounting bracket for the graphic card, the top mounted radiator... Such a perfection makes me want to buy one to replace my NR200P.
Yet another great video packed with useful info!
Will definitely use this for my next build whenever that’ll be
I feel you.
You ever build that pc bro?
been waiting for this video to drop since jayz
Hi! Just subbed. Amazing content. Quick question: I've been binge watching your videos and it looks like for storage you only use a NVMe. Do you have any suggestions on how to get some more storage?
I never thought about a case with some preinstalled parts. Great idea
QUESTION: Do you think swapping out the stock radiator fans for the Noctua NF-A12x25 would be beneficial or unnecessary in terms of the overall cooling performance? I'm just wondering if it will improve cooling significantly enough to warrant purchasing them.
I was wondering the same exact thing, I’m wondering if someone can update me on it to see if it’s possible.
Thank you so much for the review. A Meshlicious vs NR200P Max video would be nice
Currently have a meshlicious on my desk waiting to afford the rest of the parts .. .. would love to see the same comparison before I get too vested into the SSUPD case.
@@NicholasNunez Same here. Have a Meshlicious on my desk now. Try the standoff mod next to add a second NVME on the backside of the motherboard and just got a 3d print to add a 92mm exhaust fan on the top and another print to add 2 40mm exhaust fans on the back. Really looking forward to the temps compared to the NR200P Max
@@nicolaialtwegg3849 what's your components list? I can't decide on a mobo, I keep flip flopping between the ASUS and Gigabyte
Fortunately I already got a 3070 FE for MSRP at best buy. I'm now waiting to buy all the other components at once
All of my current parts are 7+ years old, I got them for free last year as my first build. I'm ready to cherry pick my own parts now though
I've been building my own pc's for about 30 years now, and i ordered this case for my first SFF build. Would have loved to build a custom loop but the budget is small, so this is perfect! Greetz from The Netherlands ;-)
I have not been very interested in sff cases but I really like this. Also super high quality video man nice job.
The NR200P is quite amazing in all areas. Price, performance, size, quality while having a basic but pleasing look to it. I seriously couldn't recommend anything other than this coolermaster NR200P/200/MAX
Great review as always! but I feel CM missed the opportunity to add USB C on the IO.
Idk man, I have yet to see a single peripheral I'd want to plug into the front via USBC, and not all high-end itx mobos have USBC header support due to size constraints. As long as I could get a thunderbolt in the rear I/O for just in case I'd be good to go.
already on my wishlist for my next build
Thats just what i am looking for on my next build , if only we can get the gpu we need . Great vid .
Apparently next-gen GPUs will require 1000W+ power supplies, but either way this seems to be a fantastic case, I might just go for it when I finally build a desktop PC (with the current market I'm sticking to laptops exclusively).
its not truth i have 4090 and trust me is working perfect the only issues that i saw is the temperature of gpu. However the really high gpu 4090 with i9 13900k is completely strong enouph and the 850 psu is really enouph and good without unvoltage for the moment .
Hope CM include a type-C front panel connector in their next update/revision, otherwise it's hard to fault such an excellent case (even if it's slightly on the larger side)
ya, TypeC would be nice - but it's acceptable since the back normally has it.
These cases handle vertical mount card thermals amazingly well, even with a glass side panel.
Nice!! Will be ordering soon!
The pricing on that is awesome!
amazing video on this case, literally gonna get it for my next build, but just wandering how thermals are with the TG panel and the bottom fans as intake?
That's the way I have my nr200p setup! with a top mounted 240mm aio after a mod, 5600x and 3060ti FE, bottom fans intake, top aio fans as exhaust. Totally thermally capable!
@@thehardwarehams7302 could you point me in the direction on how to mount a rad to the top of the nr200?
@@DAIV We're actually working on a walkthrough video today! Should be posted tomorrow :D
@@thehardwarehams7302 you absolute legend, was just wondering if it will be ok in this config since ambient temps where I'm at can vary from 25-31 degrees celsius and don't know if a 5800x can be kept cooled with the aio like this but I don't mind running the two slim fans at a higher speed
@@BelliSenior Oh dang, yeah that is hot! Sorry I mis-typed before, I have my top AIO as intake, so cpu gets full access to fresh air, then bottom fans as exhaust. Basically reverse chimney airflow. I had it standard chimney before but my cpu was taking a lot of heat from my gpu when they were both under load. But I think a 280mm AIO should be sufficient even with those ambient temps to handle a 5800x.
You have my deepest gratitude, mate.
i have the nr200p and the first thing i noticed is the power socket in the back. the Max has it on the bottom but the non max has it up top. It's one of the only gripes i have for the original case as the cable can come lose. First ITX build i have and yes Max and non-max should be super worth for your simple build!
Over time, dust builds up under the top mesh of the NR200 and it looks bad. Cleaning the top mesh is labor intensive since you have to take off side and front panels to remove the top and then remove fans/radiator from the top panel. Only then you can reach the dust. I did not manage to find a better ITX case for my hardware (considering both performance and appearance). But this little problem bothers me much. I wonder what can be done about it (except using top fans as intake but then thermals are too bad and my 2080ti gets throttled).
any updates? how did you deal with this issue?
@@UlfMTG removed the top mesh
Great video. Do you have a list of components used (board, RAM etc.)?
I like how friendly this makes itx cases
I hear "Pretty straight-forward" like a thousand times in your videos, always fun to hear
Geez, tomshardware reviewed this case, and their lighting managed to make it look like an ugly green. Now that I see it on your video, it looks sweet.
The Meshlicious is just more of a looker
Was waiting for your review on this case. If I ever move to SFF it will be this case.
Awesome review! Thanks for sharing it. Thumbs up!!
Inflation is crazy: your Amazon link is now $456.21...
Imagine this case with a 5600x and 3060ti
Perfect combo.
Superb production quality and nice video!
Thank you very much for posting. I knew the new Max was coming out but I wasn't interested. Just finished a new-build with the NR200, ASUS ROG Crosshair VIII Impact MB, RTX 3080 Ti FE (thanks Best Buy on Aug. 26th), 5 Noctua fans (3x25mm & 2x15mm), Noctua C14S CPU Cooler (yes, fits in the Impact MB no problem). Plus the regular stuff. Works great.
Ok but I can’t find anywhere to buy it
I'd love the case if it was lighter. I'd buy an aluminium version instantly!
Just received mine today! Switching from the regular NR200P because of space, noise and temps. I am really excited for the results in the end
And now we wait for the custom loop with the added versatility 😁
Hi, awesome reviews you got :) Can you tell your opinion or maybe some tests on this new Bykski CPU-XPR-DDC-I (3 in 1) cpu/pump/res unit?
Thanks dude. Looks like a great buy from where I'm sitting :)
Great video! Is there a 3rd PCIE cable?
This is the way~ Perfect size and built.
This is quality right here best videos from optimum tech keep it going bro
This case will be the one I use for my first Sff build. It's a lot smaller than the 18year old Cooler Master 690 full tower case I'm using now. I don't plan to use the "MaX" version as the psu doesn't seem to be modular and I don't need a 850 watt psu. I will be using the 5700g and no gpu initialy and add a 6600xt to it when I upgrade my other PC. Thanks for the video.
My first ITX build was earlier this year. Built into the NR200P after watching yours and Gear Seekers videos, what an amazing case. The build isn't tecnically finished as I can't get my hands on a reasonably priced 3080, but look forward to when it is.
The color is so neat! Trying to Upgrade my White nr200p with an ATX PSU + rx 6600 xt
the color seems really great
Hello, I'm watching from Japan.
I was waiting for this review.
I was looking for an exciting case. And the color is great
I've been waiting for this!
Been waiting for this review! Now the Lian Li q58 is releasing next month. This or q58?
if they make a all mesh version of the NR200P MAX I'll jump back over to the case in a heartbeat. Meshlicious will be my main case for a good while
Cool video, but what motherboard combo (name of the Motherboard, ram and cpu) did you use and is the PSU modular?
I wanted the Lian Li Q58 but it seems it's going to take a while for them to release it. So I might try this case. I was going to air cool it as I'm paranoid about the liquid cooler leaking everywhere. In another video someone said the fan at the bottom showed worse results which was what made me doubt this case before.
Awesome case, just wanted to see if you were thinking of doing a custom loop in here?
Great video, I know you have a suprim x 3080 ti are you able to tell me if it fits in this case? The gpu is 336mm and gpu support of the case is 330 was hoping it could squeeze that little extra length in.
I’ve been planning on buying a white version of the normal case for some time now but the whole part pricing fiasco has destroyed any desire to upgrade or even simply transplant my current build into a new case. I was going to buy a 3080. Even though it was over priced. I was going to upgrade from 3rd gen to 5th gen ryzen. Kinda glad I didn’t because what I have now is still faster than I need.
Looks like the 25mm fan fit just perfectly at the bottom?
Can you get it on it's own? Or does it only come as a bundle?
So, when will this actually be available? I see it on Cooler Master website but not at any retailer. I'm also interested in the orange colour version. Wish they made a "MAX" in orange.
Will it be released in the EU as well? If so when?
How does the case hold up for a push/pull graphics card like the 3080fe ?
Just got my Max case! I'm curious, is it possible to mount the rad fans on top of the rad instead of the bottom? Will the 140mm fans fit if you wanted to swap their positions?
subscribed!
Hey can please cite the items (fans, ram, etc) for this build? Been planning to build my first PC :)
Thank you!
Damn u make me even more in loved with itx build. I've plan to switch my build from mid tower to itx but I cant due to the limited budget because I have to buy itx motherboard, and sfx psu as well. However this nr200p max comes with everything I need and massively reduce the cost for me.
Would it make sense to flip the power supply? In the video shown, it has its own airflow path - how about using it as an additional exhaust fan, especially with the Nvidia 30serioes founders right in front of it with their throughput fans?
I am using the NR200P with a beefy air cooler - in the max version there is no option anymore to air cool and GPU - do you think the AIO is good enough provided by cooler master, or would it make sense to swap it with an arctic AIO for example?
Already have white nr200 but have to watch your vids always relaxing hehe
Wonderful new case and great build video. Only hoped that they add front usb c port.
Damn I was expecting the TG panel temps to be through the roof.
Obviously CM have actually thought about GPU temps with the GPU pressed against the TG and put that extra gap.
How does the CM 280 AIO hold up against the tried and true Kraken X63?
Is there better performance/less noise to be had with a fan swap?
