People say you can't have small, powerful and cool running. You can you just have to do it right, nicely done.
love the optimum tech vibe
You have shown my my first PC I'm going to build for Star Citizen. Thank you for posting the build, and advice shown here that I can use as a guide. Thank you much.
Video quality is outstanding. Nice build too!
I have a 4080 in the same case. I did swap the fans for noctua and didn’t add fans to the bottom due to the mixed reviews online. CPU sit around 64c while gaming.
Welcome to SFF! the NR200 is on the bigger side of SFF, that's where I started now moved on to a 7900 XTX inside Fractal Ridge!
Great vid!
would love to see the almost same hardware exept mainboard in a bigger case in terms of temps and fps
impressive, with that small case it able to manage temperature. 👏
Those builds have been awesome. Subscribed for sure. I'd love to see a Torrent Nano build.
I'm building this system tonight but with a 4080 super. Definitely using this video. Thanks
Great build, but I'm just waiting for the inevitable price cuts down the line. The itx motherboard cost a ton currently and hopefully subsides down later on
very high quality work, very enjoyable !
Love the NR200 cases. Managed to get 6 Noctuas in mine (two on AIO intake, two bottom intake, two top exhaust). It's astonishing the amount of air it moves on top of being reasonably quiet.
which noctua cases did you use?
I am not looking for building such costly builds. But damn, these videos are very comforting to watch.
LOVE THIS BUILD
Nr200P is so cute and powerful.
Its on my list as the case when I'm gonna start building.
I heard there's a NR 200P kit that has cooler Masters psu, fans and one more thing pre-installed in the case.
That’s the NR 200P max version Used in this video, it comes pre installed with an AIO two 140 mm fans and a 850 watt power supply.
It's a shame they raised the price for the max to $450. At the original $350 it was actually worth it.
Awesome build thx.
Love the video work!
Your video style is the exact same as optimum techs ❤
Nice vid bro! I'm also using 2 NR200P's with mini itx and even 1 with mini dtx. I was still in doubt if I should buy one of the Max versions, but this vid did convince me. Also those temps are crazy low. I'm very curious what they'll be with higher ambient temp and of course how it will perform with those extra slim fans on the bottom of the case. Thank you very much for this info so that I also can continue building a new system in the Max in stead of the 'normal' NR200P's that I've got.
Did you build it? Do you use slim fans at the bottom?
@@MrSteror Nope, I've switched cause of the crazy motherboard prices back to a new am5 atx build
dream build dream spec holy
I used to love my NR200, now I run the bigger AP201 from Asus, fits my 4090 Aorus Master great
Optimum tech style thumbnails
Honestly, very simple and effective thumbnail
Can't fix perfection
(Sus vine boom
I thought this was optimum tech when I clicked lol
I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed! 😂
That looks beautiful
love this setup 👌👌
I really like your builds and channel
Solid build, I work overseas so I've been wanting a small form factor PC I can travel with for Gaming, Audio/Video editing and this looks like a good fit for me.
What about a monitor?
The new smaller 4070 should fit nicely with room to spare.
Good video man, thank you for sharing.
Thanks! Yea, good point. I’m excited about those new 4070’s. I’ll have to order one and try it out!
The amazing thing about this case is that it can handle beefy graphic cards. It is amazing for the amount of processing power it can have for its size.
@@devyn.johnston efficiency of the 4070 is amazing for a sff build especially non reference model with one 8 pin, clean and tidy
He put in 4080, and you are suggesting mediocre 4070, LOL
@@parker1981xxxLol you know you’re broke you can’t afford either 💀
Sweet build. Looking to build a new Mini-ITX after 6+ years of using my current one. I really bought my last one in the dip though.. Parts are sooo much more expensive nowadays.
Thanks vor the Video, are there any cheaper alternatives for the case?
Thanks!
Wow! Thanks so much for this huge contribution, Ramesh! This really means a lot!
The RTX 4080 isn't sitting leveled in that case. It is definitely weighted down on the unsupported end. I would make a custom bracket or leg (3D Print) so that it is less tension on the other end. They should've added mounting screws to the the PCI-Ex riser, that would've eliminated this issue.
Why would that cause any issues? GPUs sag in the standard orientation too.
How to to tell people u have a 3D printer 🤣🤣🤣
Just use a popsicle stick, cut to fit a snug support-to-level.
@@NZIGNANTIyup that's what I do lol
It’s not really a concerning amount of sag to where it’s gonna snap it’s not that bad
This is a great video and good looking build, going to buy the same one!
you should check your 980 pro SSD firmware version because there is a version that "corrupts" the chip and when a certain threshold is reached the chip goes into a read only mode without the ability to repair it. and then its useless and your windows will crash constantly. Just make sure to, if not already, update your drives firmware using samsung magician to the newest and you are safe.
GREAT BUILD🔥 what is a good alternative to the 4080 in this build? Preferably on the nvidia side of the gpus.
After a 6 months of research I have decided to build an AMD system using the same case, and I have few learnings : I opted for the Ryzen 7900 because of the 60 Watt TDP and 12 cores: a good compromise for gaming and productivity. I replaced the default cooler master fans with Noctua ones. I plan to install an ASUS strix graphic card. since the Asus Motherboard comes with only two fan headers (1 cpu and one case) the Asus strix graphic card has two additional fan headers. There is room in the bottom of the case for two additional slim 12 cm fans. The negative aspects : the power supply does not have the new 12V connection for graphic cards, the case is still a bit bigger than I expected. Without a graphic card installed the case is already generating too much heat. There is no way I am leaving this thing on my desk. Also it is too small to put under my desk, I will need a small table for it. I believe the best computer is the one you do not realize it exists (silent cool and hidden)… update : I was planning to pair this with an Asus strix 4070 ti, now hearing about the issue with future games needing more vram I put this on hold. There is room in front of the case for two 2.5 inch ssd, my plan so far is two m2 ( Os, sw, games) and two 2.5 inch ssd in raid 1 for DATA. This makes the ideal portable gaming workstation PC.
To my big surprise I did find out the only RTX4080 that fits in this case is the founder edition :( I am even struggling to find an RTX 4070 ti that fits.
Just get a 6800xt (gigabyte one is 28cm) .. and wait for 4080 to drop in price ($799 should be an ok price)
How the hell your MOBO is not burnt down yet? Do you live in colder region ? I got into micro PC build after seeing rise of handheld gaming consoles and loved the idea of having powerful but portable machine . Can anybody tell me is it safe to build such tiny builds ? I live in very hot climate. So please suggest me is it good idea to go for such build.
@@bendover-bz4bc I think it all has to do with how much cooling and air flow the case has. I opted for low power components : Ryzen 7900 and Nvidia 4070 ti , the case has also good air flow if you do not use the glass panel. I have also added two 12 cm Noctua exhaust fans on the bottom of the case in Addition to the existing AIO with two 14 cm fans as exhaust on the top of the case. The MOBO runs round 50 deg and the CPU round 70 deg max.
Don't forget it you go for the 7900x3d it's only 6 cores in games, the 7800x3d will use the full 8 cores.
In my 200Max I used a gpu holder/stand under the bottom right corner of the gpu because it definitely sags without it
@devyon johnston do you suspect any concerns with swapping the AMD board and CPU for the Intel i5-13600K and ASUS ROG Strix B760-I? Will the power supply support this build with Intel?
What are your temps for 7800x3d in this case ? Myne idles at 50C cinebench 75C gaming around 60ish. Running two slim noctua fans on the bottom as intake
I am also curious at what your ingame benchmark overlay is from ?
Will the components from your $1800 build with NZXT H1 v2 fit on this case?
I made my build with 7800x3d in Lian Li A4 H2O case few days ago, had my 3080 gaming x trio a massive card lying around so i used that one instead of buying a new one, you should try it, it is way way smaller than the NR200P and for a founders edition card, it will fit it perfectly unlike my oversized MSI card which i had to shave off a milimeter at the plastic to make it fit, the A4 H2O can even fit 4090 founders edition card
I have this build. Only intel i9 instead of ryzen. Absolutely love this pc 💙 its everything i ever wanted
Hi! How did you connect the rtx 4080 with only 2 PCIe cables instead of 3 ?
Hello, your videos are amazing ! I have the ame camera, can you please tell me what are your color settings ? It looks gorgeous
And if you can do a dedicated video of how you record your videos and all your camera gear, it would be perfect 😉
Nice vid my bro
Did you undervolt ur CPU?
Any information on that overlay? I like the look better than the normal afterburner look.
Can the 4080 work well with the only two pci 8 pin connectors included on the nr200 p max?
Got everything on this list except the 4080, i went with the 7900xtx. But its running like a beast...
I would like an nr200p max, it is just not available or too expensive where i live
Hi, nice video ! question , did you qflash the bios first before boot ?
I've basically the same setup as you but my temps rise to 85°C+ in cinebench. Any advice?
Just finished my similar build. Did you swap out the FE 12vhpwr for a cable mod one? My is a bittt tight pressing up against the fan cage for the AIO.
you should look into Sliger cases👍
what did you use to record your game footage and what are the bitrate settings as well quality settings?
Is the total fan count for this PC 4? (2 radiator, 1 gpu, 1 psu), or is there any case fans? Is the gpu getting all the hot air from the CPU? Or is there any intake I'm not seeing.
Bro the 7800x3d is such a beast, i mean 60c with an tiny aio and that case.. my 5800x3d goes to 60-70c in games after fine tuning and pbo2 with a 4000d airflow+6 ql 120mm and a 280mm aio
ambient temps play a huge role in cpu temp. in my room without air-conditioning, ambient temps rise to 32 C (i live by the equator) which yields to my 5800x3d going up to 80 C while gaming. with air conditioning on, room temps can go down to 24 C and my 5800x3d doesnt even touch 65C
@@SevenMilliFrog i got my 5800x3d down to 40-50c in gaming and 70c full load.. Mounted my aio in the front and it shaved 10c off. Made a better Fan curve also, my room temperature is about 24-25 C.
What's the OSD software you're using to display the framerate + Temps?
I have this case lying around for over a year now. wantd to find a full amd m-itx am4 but the selection is low
does the IS-55 fit on this motherboard, with the heatsink overhanging the VRM (instead of the RAM)?
Hey Devyn, what are your thoughts on using this exact build (7800X3D + 4080FE), except with the NZXT H1v2 case instead? Would it run too hot?
hey bro im not devyn but maybe undervolt your gpu/cpu to help maintain temps if they get too crazy
im looking to build a new pc. my current one is almost 7/8 years old, and it's time to lay it to rest.
Should i stick to the parts listed in this video? or there any changes i should consider? Thanks.
If you were to put fans in, would you make it intake or exhaust?
How did you manage to get those temps in cinebench i have similar setup
7800x3d
nr200 max
rtx 4070 ti super
and cpu(tdle) in cinebench is 81c :(
Can you show us if this temp is within low or med setting or all set to max?
Which GPU alternative is recommended if I don't want to go the 4080 route for this build?
Was the cooler compatible with the motherboard
I’m planning on building a pc with this case, a 4080 super FE into factor, and I don’t know if it’s my eyes or intuition but the gpu will eventually sag?
I'm planning to use a 7900x, will this case handle the heat?
Fact that a 8 core cpu can beat the 13900k is absolutely 🤯
You think you would be fine with a 750w gold certificate power supply for this build?
is there room like this for a 3.5" drive on psu cage?
I went ahead and purchased everything on your list, hopefully it works out for me. Thank you for your very informative video.
any update so far?
I got everything put together just waiting on my CPU comes in on Tuesday@@paburrito
i didn't go with the Nvidia card instead i got 79000xtx@@paburrito

Whats the decibel reading from 1m away? Is it that quiet you can barely hear it?
Kind of wish this case had a usb c port - since it’s priced at $430.
Would a Ventus 3x OC 4080 fit just fine in this case?
that snack was tasty as hell, feeling kinda nauseous though going to go take a quick nap
what overlay does he use to check his temperature ang wattage in this video?
Any recommendations for a motherboard that is not Asus that will fit this build?
I bought pretty same but 7950x3d with 6000 ram and with 4090 :) Also changed tip fans to Noctuas industrial and added bottom Noctuas slim fans.
how are the cpu thermals?
any update?
How is this build for using blender and adobe applications?
In my country i can only find the not-max version of the NR200P, does anyone more experienced know if its still good for this build?
Can this case fit XFX or Sapphire 7900xtx?
Cool temperatures! May I know what's the ambient temperature during your testing?
74°F / 23.3°C
So do you think a 4090 rtx fe would fit in this? what about a msi 4090 SUPRIM X (it has recomended psu of 1000). can this 4080/90 be paired with a 5800x3d (ive only heard good things about this one). sorry for the questions
The cooler master website states that the case can only fit gpu's up to 60mm in width, and the 4090 SUPRIM X is 78mm wide. The 4090 FE is stated to be around 61mm, which is the same as the 4080 FE, so that would probably fit like the one in the video does.
that 12+4vhpwr is screaming.
damn less than 70 on cinebench is crazy! I hit 85 even after the -30 pbo curve.
Perfect
This build is very nice, im looking to build something similar, but i have a couple of questions was the am5 bracket included with the case? And can it accomodate a wider 4080? Non reference. thanks.
I think the 4080 fe is about as comfortable as it will get for this build.
Are there any boutique/prebuilt mini pc's like this available?
It seems most of the well known boutique brands like digital storm, origin, falcon northwest only have mid tower or bigger.
Origin and Falcon Northwest both have SFF builds (Origin Chronos and Falcon Fragbox and Tiki). These are obviously going to cost a lot more than DIY
Nice build. Doesn't the Rog Srix B650E still have major issues?
Like what? I’m using one with my 7800X3D with zero issues
The case was almost perfect unfortunately it doesnt have side mesh vents instead of glass panel
Idk if the motherboard had an aio pump header? Supposedly connecting the pump to the cpu fan header makes the life of the pump shorter due to it alternating pump speeds according to cpu temps rather than always running at a steady pace when connected to the aio pump header. I would love the 7800X3D and a 4070ti, but they too expensive :/
using a program called fan control and setting that header for constant speed would solve the problem
So Expensive. Would you happen to have an itx budget build please?
I have a budget build video coming out next week
How are the thermals on this small build?
Would this be useful for a 3D digital artist?
I'm building the exact same build! Except that I'm using a msi board
Which one?
Can you do this build in a smaller case
how to prevent the GPU sagging???
“Gpu bracket”
Now I feel old .. expansionslots have been used for different cards other than just gpus 😂😂
Newbie here working on an ITX build. Just checking pricing on pcpartpicker and wondering why it says the Ryzen & motherboard used in the build above are incompatible.
Probably requires a bios update for the 7800x3d. You can scroll down to see why any errors are shown.
