I really enjoy your Overland videos and this channel. I like how you take a realistic approach to actually four wheeling with your truck and the giant camper stuff in the bed lol

Thanks!! Really appreciate the encouragement. It's nice to show that a full size with camper can travel to most places. Overland has become an excusive club and often people have more gear than adventures.

@@TruckCamper that’s true and I hold my breath every time you go off camber!!

@@johnnykoba_on_the_road It looks unstable due to the height but most of the weight is down low... looks worse than it feels

Very nice! Curious how the camper held up under such rugged terrain. Saw the ebike so if you ran out of fuel you wouldn't be walking.lol

Camper has held up well so far!! We are over 2.5 years of off road use. Yep. Our mountain bikes beat walking for sure. Thanks for watching

Wow, the hot springs are awesome. How hot is the water? Never been to one.

They all vary... often you can increase or decrease flow to adjust temperatures. Rather fun to find them.

Greetings. I have no experience with truck campers, but have done quite a lot of 4WDing. I am guessing that the height of the truck camper would limit what 4WDing you are able to do. With the camper on the truck, how would you rate the 4WD capability compared to a properly (lift kit etc) prepared Mercedes Sprinter 4x4?

Height can be a challenge. We carry a Dewalt pole saw and cut our way through. Have yet to turn around due to height. Check out our many off road videos. Sprinters are great especially on road. However they do not have the durability or strength of a HD truck. 37" tires nearly bolt up to the Super Duty. We owned a Sprinter chassis. Biggest downside was maintenance, parts availability and cost. Super Duty is much more capable and flexible vehicle (tow/haul/multipurpose). Sprinter is great for lighter off road and hwy but keep in mind any repairs will be costly and it's lighter duty construction. Hope that helps!

@@TruckCamper Thanks for your reply. I was thinking more about instability issues due to the height/weight limiting where you can go

@@unpluggedkiwi1063 Stability isn't a height issue as much as COG. Which is mostly where the weight is loaded. We had this camper custom ordered without roof AC, microwave, stove vent and keep light items in the upper cabs. Weight down low. Camper jacks stored in the basement. We have plenty of videos showing off road ability. We've yet to turn around due to the camper....

The driving range at zero has a lot left. Auto manufacturers have a built in safety range. One can see that once they fill up at the gas pump....

Yes. There is "reserve" fuel. However inclines or off camber could make the fuel inaccessible. We've had that happen. Run out of fuel a handful of times... makes one respect the risk. :)
