You two have been MIA for a long time...I was wondering if you'd ever come back. I followed your wisdom and truck build and set up my own rig correctly as a result...except I never did buy to Fox shocks! Very nice but too much brain damage with those puppies. I'm sure this camper will sell quickly as I'm very well aware of how smartly detailed you are. Somebody is going to realize the work you did to dial this in is virtually invaluable.
Great to hear from you! Our time has been consumed on our Commercial property. We are finally getting more time again to pursue adventure and fun projects. Our goal is to travel next year full time for a season. Lots of plans. Will be sharing our next travel vehicle in the coming months. Thanks for staying in touch. :)
Looking forward to seeing your next build. You made a good case for the setup you two are currently selling, so whatever is next will likely even better.
Ha! Surprised, and not surprised; you two do like your projects! When you said to fly out and pick it up, I'm like not without a truck you're not! Of course, I now understand that you are selling the truck, too. You have put so much time, money , and energy building out the TC and truck, I can only imagine how you are feeling now that you are selling 'em. Whoever buys either, or both, will be getting one-of-a-kind adventure -ready rigs! Good luck with the sale(s).
You got that right! We are suckers for projects... It does take a ton of time to go from idea to completion. Good point. ** Truck Required. It would be an unfortunate surprise if someone missed that. HEHE Well you know there will be plenty of modifications to the next rig. Stay tuned for our next ambitious project. :)
I am not in the market for truck camper nor ever could afford one, much more a very high quality... This is a beautiful unit and very glad for the wonderful updates. Wait for the right buyer who will keep it in good condition. Keep it at or higher than true value. I have an old 1990 G20 2' hightop that is good for me and I use two battle born and use all viltron systems ... The battle born are so good (performing), even compared to some other LifePO4.
Your mods are awesome! The only thing I would add is refab the area under the fridge so that you can put your feet there and thus allow an adult to sleep on the side dinneete. I don't want to sleep with my hunting bud
Appreciate it. Alaskan campers are a cool concept (popup hard wall). However, I think they are incredibly outdated; time to progress past the 70s. But realistically that is the entire RV industry. I love seeing innovation and improvements. NorthStar is not perfect but they do combine many quality components and affordable. I appreciate much of the finish and design of NuCamp (although not perfect either). All campers will have pros/cons and it's good to compare them and determine what is most important to you. And the most import thing is to adventure and travel. Hope that helps!
Did you sell it yet? And if I may ask you a question if you were going to haul a camper of this size or slightly larger would you personally prefer a crew cab short bed or a crew cab long bed?
Camper is payment pending. We would absolutely buy the same truck we currently have (short bed / extended cab). Shorter wheelbase makes maneuvering much easier (in town or off road). We owned the crew cab / short bed previously and sold it after 1 test trip. It's that different! Our truck is still for sale and fully dialed if you want a turn key rig: forum.expeditionportal.com/threads/expedition-ready-2020-f250-on-37s-locked-f-r-4-30-gears-hp-d60-psc-hydro-fox-2-5-camper-875w-solar-lithium-40g-h2o-98k-arizona.244221
@@TruckCamper thanks for your reply. I get you...I own the same truck configuration but its with the 5L engine (F150). I am pretty bent on buying a diesel. had them before and just got to have the power, but after what you said, I am leaning more towards the short bed. thanks

Deal. HAHA - We did post the for sale ad: forum.expeditionportal.com/threads/2020-northstar-liberty-truck-camper-875w-solar-lithium-40g-h2o-filtration-off-grid-dialed-kingman-az.244115/
There are AC options... but realistically travel elsewhere when too hot. No fun being locked inside. The idea of traveling is to be outdoors. We are in Arizona (so we know about hot). Truck can tow ~ 15k max (lower with camper). Gas 6.2L. Watch our other videos they show everything
Thanks! Yes, we will be offering the truck for sale. It is designed for the camper and performs incredible on/off road. But yes... prices are vastly more for trucks and parts.
The camper floor length is 7ft. So it would sit on your tailgate. Biggest limitation with the Raptor is the limited weight carrying capacity... Super Duty is the ideal hauler rig. We will be selling our truck which has been setup specifically for the camper weight. :)

Thanks for following along! Not sure it will be "better" but definitely different... and more expensive. So that's something. HAHA
@@TruckCamper, ha, yeah, figured it will probably be something fancy.

Thanks! Totally makes sense.... I'd feel the same way! It's a great platform to modify to fit needs. :)

No AC? Where do you live? Need that in Florida!! How much does your truck tow? Is it gas or diesel?

Very nice camper!! Selling the truck?? Hope not, it’s nice and you won’t get one at that 2020 price.

Will it fit in a 5’-5” Raptor bed?

I suffer much without AC. Otherwise I would be interested.
12v cabinet style air conditioner would be the ticket. Bunch of vans running them! Probably could run just from the roof solar. Worth checking out
@@TruckCamper Do you have a recommendation on a 12 volt cabinet style air conditioner? I trust you folks.
@@nickberg4379 Not directly. May need to dig in a bit for information. It's a bit limited.
Jealous of your buildout!
I'd give you $12k cash for it today lol
I know its far from what you're asking though 🤣😆
Thanks!!! Build one yourself. Great experience. Then go adventure. :)
@@TruckCamper That's actually our plan! Inspired by your build, with some modifications that will work for us 😁 Looking forward to your next creation!
