- Embark on an unforgettable journey as I live on the road in my 4Runner, exploring the beauty of the American West. In this video, I’ve combined all the highlights from my road trip as I travel down to Colorado to capture the breathtaking fall foliage, taking scenic detours through Oregon, Idaho, and Utah along the way.
From the essentials of daily life-cooking meals out of my rooftop tent, finding campsites with a view, tackling laundry on the go, and adapting to the realities of life without a permanent bathroom-this video gives you an inside look at the highs and challenges of overlanding. Watch as I share my favorite campsites, capture stunning landscapes, and document the freedom of living out of my 4Runner for weeks on end.
If you’re passionate about overlanding, fall camping, or just want to know what it’s like to live life on the road, don’t miss this full-length journey. Remember to like, comment, and subscribe for more overland adventures, travel tips, and behind-the-scenes stories from my road life!

i am watching this while working from home. I just got my old discovery 2 running again with a fresh engine reseal, cooling mods etc. i cant wait to get a new wheel set up and go camping.
Nice! If it's the series 1 that would be great set up!
This video is a masterpiece. Thank you for this.
I appreciate it. Thanks for watching!
You are a unique individual with an abundance of talent
Your dinner looked delicious. I love exploring the desert with you and Sadie. It makes me feel calm and reminds me of my younger years .
I've really enjoyed this watching this. I'm jealous of the freedom that you've got to be able to go out and do this. The strength to do it alone and the beauty that you get to see. I was born in that area but left before I was old enough to even understand life. So thank you for this little tour and I hope to maybe do the same thing at some point.
Thanks! I don’t really mention it but doing all of this solo definitely requires quite a bit courage
My guy.....this very very inspiring!!! Thank you for sharing
thanks for watching!
Unbelievably inspiring! 🎉
thanks!
Going to watch the whole video! 😁
Grab some popcorn. It'll be a long one lol
Great story!
appreciate it!
nice , you are ready 😊
good luck
Thanks!
Thanks for continuing to share. God bless.
thanks!
I travel, live in either my 4Runner orTundra a few weeks out of the year. I do return home to my house and wife and sometimes she comes along. Nothing like a home that doesn’t have wheels😂
True that lol
👌 Nice set up
UA-cam recommended I watched. So I did I am addicted. Great video. Safe travels.
Thank you!
Nice video, a little self history is good content. You have some of the best scenic locations to video. I've been to S. Dakota twice, it's a great place!! The Black Hills and Custer are super!!
I gotta check out S. Dakota!
Just stumblee onto your channel. Very cool living the dream. If i could afford this life i would. Id quit Boeing in a heart beat. But id live off my bike, not in a vehicle. Just dont see how one can make it work unless you have tons of money. I get youtube pays if you have enough subs and likes and views. I just sit and watch parts for planes no one works on right now. So while i may have the easiest job at the whole Boeing company, i would give it all up to just live off my bike. In fact thats the plan when I retire is to live off my bike for at least 2 years. Drove semi truck for 11 year across this country. I know all the nice spots. Nice to see a local dude making it happen. As i am up in Lake Stevens. Well have fun out their living the dream of many of us. Thanks for taking the time to bring us along.
Thanks man! I used to work at FedEx loading up 777s so I know what it's like to have some downtime and hang out on the plane. Same here, I would love to quit my 9-5 and just do UA-cam lol
Great video.😍
thanks!
Great videos! Beautiful photography. Thanks for taking us along
Thanks for watching!
My Man, Ballin !!! Yea that got me. Subscribed
thanks!
Man that hike up Winchester is stunning. Got to head up with one of my elopement couples and got the most epic sunset there. Glad you decided to hike up and experience that!
Nice! Yea I was kinda reluctant to do it but really glad I did. I can only imagine seeing sunsets up there!
Subbed for the jeepney mug! 😊
lol souvenir from the Philippines!
New guy here! Subscribed for the long content. Seeing this was a 3 hour plus vid. Ugg then i seen many short vids. Hopefully we can get some at least 30 mins to 1 hour please. Take it as a compliment 😂
All good! Yea I’ve been meaning to make longer videos lol still figuring out what to keep in and not have the video drag on. I have a winter camping video up next week so stay tuned lol
Very good production and story telling. Keep up the good work.
Thank you! Stay tuned for my newest video. I'm trying to improve my storytelling more!
Nice video. Thank you.
Good 👍 please going nice vlog
Thanks Planning on it
Almost finished with this video! Watched over the last few days! Great job! What do you use to film when you’re not using your Sony or drone?
DJI Pocket 3. Arguably more useful than my actual camera lol
Question Bob: When you say the trailer is going to stay on your land, when you are tavelling are you not concerned about it being stolen?
Just did an assignment out that way in Olympia and Seattle a few months ago. Took my trd pro 4Runner out, but didn’t do any wheeling. But Beautiful area. Gotta ask what drawer system did you use? Goose gear? Love the set up and hope life on the road is treating you well.
Appreciate it! The drawer is from solid wood worx. I bought it precut and built it out. A fun a little DIY project. I may look to upgrade though. I messed up a little bit when putting in the drawer sliders
Amazing locations. What are the best resources to find these dispersed locations? I own a sprinter ekko and would love to hit a bunch of these places
Having trouble finding resources.
Yellowstone is 100% on our list.
Thanks for sharing and any insight on how you find your destinations would be much appreciated
Onward and wishing you safe future journeys
Thanks! For places to camp and sleep at I normally go to iOverlander. For attractions I normally google the area I’m at and spontaneously check out what I find interesting
Incredible videos! Quick question, what are your thoughts on the Hcalory (or at least thats what appeared) diesel heater?
Works great! For $120 it’s hard to beat.
So many questions dude. Do you live near the area that you can have USPS hold your packages at your home mail facility so to speak, or can you have packages shipped anywhere and have that particular USPS facility hold them. I ask because I've wondered about exactly the type of situation you seem to be in, meaning no fixed address, how do you have stuff sent to you, ecommerce seeming the be the preferred way to shop most of the time?
Also, dudeski, super impressed with your camera work / editing. Have you taken classes on this subject or you're just naturally gifted? I'd be interested to hear. I wish more people had your skill. Usually don't see this level of goodness until channels get much bigger
I actually use a friends address to reroute my personal mail to but I could set up a mailbox at usps for a monthly payment. I normally don't care about mail unless it's a shipment or package. For packages I ask whoever the shipper is to make the package available for pickup. It's usually called Hold at Location. When getting things shipped I use the address that I will pick it up at the. I somewhat go over it at the 2:06:00 mark
Dutch Bros - med blended 911 with 2 extra shots no whip 🔥🔥🔥
damn with 2 extra shots lol
My friend (used to work at dutch) said they call it a niner internally so if you ask for a "niner" they may think you work there and give a discount lol
Very inspiring! From Everett and building out a rig for some adventures as well. Do you have the alternator charger for the ecoflow? I just picked up the delta 2 and saw it's recommended to have a high output alternator for the charger. Also what laptop do you use for on the road edits? Thanks! 🙏
The laptop mount I use is this amzn.to/476ByUY
I do have the alternator charger! Works great but the app could use a lot more work. It disconnects sometimes and doesn't reconnect unless you restart the device which is somewhat of a hassle when driving.
Running spacers? Another great vid!
I do not. I hear mixed things about running spacers
Awesome video enjoyed watching it! I have a quick question for you at the timeline on your video of 1:14:00 what the name of that table that they’re setting up?
Thanks! I believe that is the front runner table. If I recall correctly we were talking about how expensive it is and Jacob (in the video) was showing us why lol
I move into my 5th gen on the 30th! This video was awesome! What computer mount are you using?
Nice! I use this mount. Not sure if I would 100% recommend it but it does what I need it to do
amzn.to/476ByUY
Which van would you recommend that will do it all and comfortable ideal for over landing/camping
Ram promaster or the Mercedes sprinters. Probably go with the promaster though. It’s cheaper and easier to work on
Where can I get a cooking device like the one you have?
iKamper disco series can be found here
ikamper.com/products/disco-series
and your typical Coleman stove at Walmart lol any of them will last forever
Nice chef knife. What is it?
lol thanks. It’s from cutco. They usually have it Costco as a seasonal demo item
How do you like your rtt?
Love everything about it except maybe closing it lol fabric fights you when closing it. I think all rtt have that issue though
Lemme know when in CA and I can show you some spots.
I may take you up on your offer. I might be making a trip down near Mt. Shasta area soon if you are in the area
@tim.muangkeo it's desert season around here and HWY395 is calling.🔥
wish I had a 4runner. lol. tacoma have no cabin space! keep my belonging out of the elements.
Sometimes I wish I had a Tacoma Tundra lol there are days when I think having a camper mounted to the truck would be nice
