Allison I do enjoy your videos so much. The fact they are long & unedited I enjoy too. It’s like visiting a friend who chats and shows me what she’s up to. I love your art as well. I have your Oracle cards. You are truly inspirational. Right now I’m in hospital since Dec 6 and visiting with you through UA-cam provides some enjoyment and peace. ❤
Oh, I'm sorry to hear you have been in the hospital. I appreciate you writing me this and also your encouragement. Sending you strength and healing from my studio. xx
Thanks for another great video...learning to loosen up. Loving the horizontal landscapes. Having most of the pens, crayons, paint palettes within reach or at least on hand is also a plus. I moved my watercolor "studio" from my upstairs painting (acrylics) room to my 10 foot dining room table that we rarely use. It's protected w/ plastic and a huge cutting mat. I purchased several 2 tier "towers" (Amazon) that stand in front of the pads I work on and hold all my pencils, crayons, and most used palettes. Pens and Poscas are stored laying down in a narrow lucite serving tray like you taught us to do. I'm eager to try these abstract paintings. 💚
I really resonated with what you said about art in school-I never felt like I was creative or artist-partly because of my experience in art class and partly bc my family/extended family labeled certain family members as being “artist”. I’ve really had to work to turn that blurt off in my head when I’m creating all these years later. Your son is so lucky to have your support and encouragement-you can tell that he is such a creative fella-and raining universes 🪐🌧️💫-how beautiful!🥹
Thanks so much for your support and encouragement, Kristin! I can't wait to check out your videos as I see you've been consistent in posting. Wonderful !! Yes, "Raining Universes"... pretty special. xx
Allison - loved the colors you used in this landscape. I've been holding out and can't take it any more - I had to order Beam Paints this past week - the Robin's egg blue is calling to me :) Just so you know, I absolutely love the length of your videos. I feel like I'm sitting across the table from you while you work, so I'm hoping you don't shorten them....your videos are so informative and your natural way of sharing is simply charming. You say you get a lot out of doing these videos and so do all us, so keep doing whatever works for you - we appreciate it!
Oh Allison- a beautiful landscape! So sweet with your poetic son at such a tender age! To contemplate the universe, infinity, and his love for you is just intensely heart-felt! Thank you for sharing that!
Hi Allison. I’ve just woken up and found this beautiful video waiting. Thank you for the continued inspiration. I’m going over to have a look at your blog now. I don’t mind long videos, as I’m retired, but I guess it won’t suit some others so much. Our very hot weather right now, makes it appropriate to sit inside and paint, while watching your videos. Again, thank you for sharing. And I love your chatter as you work, I learn so much there.😍
I love your artwork and your videos. Thank you🙏🏼❣ I've actually been inspired to paint some backgrounds in your style and they are waiting to be completed with marks etc. Yes, they may be a bit long, but I've got time. I can always skip over some things if time is limited and go back later. Yes, maybe you could make some a bit shorter or break them up into 2 for those that don't have the time and are discouraged to tune into long videos 🎨❤.
I will think about making shorter videos and maybe breaking some down into two parts. I'm always looking for ways to make the videos more accessible. I appreciate your encouragement, input and support as always!
I love the way you paint so very much. This one is as beautiful as all the others. What makes me enjoy and look forward to your videos is the way you film them. Like others said here, it makes me feel like we’re in the same room, painting. I savor the length of them, it doesn’t bother me at all. Also you give great tips along the way. You also introduced me to the Beam Paint Co. so far, I had just 2 little palettes on the wood. At the present, though, I’m waiting on my first order of the half pans & I can’t wait❣️❣️
Enjoy the anticipation of your Beam paints purchase! It will be worth the wait and the excitement that comes with it. Thanks for the encouragement as always! xx
Yes, you can spray the spectrafix and let it dry, and then keep working on mark making with acrylic paint pens and other materials... Just remember to do fine sprays and several layers with drying time in between light "mists" or "sprays".
Yes, that is such a beautiful name, Sasha. I will likely see how the process goes and make a few of them before listing them. thanks for your interest.
Yes, that was from playing on my gelli plate! I don't know if I will be able to do it again but I hope to refine the process as I love it! Thanks for commenting on my blog!
No please, don't change anything. I love everything you do or say. Inspiration all over the place. Thanks for that Allison ❤
You're the best! Thanks Rina

I love hearing how you created your space! Thanks for watching and commenting. And enjoy creating (10 foot table sounds awesome!).

Love to your creative sweet son, and may his love of art and creative expression flourish 🌸💖💫✨
Thank you so much! He is a big inspiration to me- likely my biggest life and creative inspiration.

Beam paints were introduced by an Indigenous woman in BC. All made from products from nature including the paints, pallets & some of their brush.
Thanks for watching!
You are right. Teach the children how to use the materials & let them create! NO grading?
Especially when they are so young and impressionable...
Just went to the blog and love the way your desk is set up. Yes, you can comment there,. but not sure about uploading our work.
Thanks Libby. Yes, I'm starting to get comments and uploading photos isn't an option- so good to know.
Hi Allison can you work over the spray with poscas?xxx
Yes, you can spray the spectrafix and let it dry, and then keep working on mark making with acrylic paint pens and other materials... Just remember to do fine sprays and several layers with drying time in between light "mists" or "sprays".
I love the ‘hold onto Hope’ as my daughters name is Hope, as you know. Are you selling it?xxx
Yes, that is such a beautiful name, Sasha. I will likely see how the process goes and make a few of them before listing them. thanks for your interest.
Allison, last question! lol
How do you do your leaf botanicals? On a gelli plate?x
Yes, that was from playing on my gelli plate! I don't know if I will be able to do it again but I hope to refine the process as I love it! Thanks for commenting on my blog!
Allison you mentioned about play in a sketchbook. Do you have a sketchbook that you work in/use as I don’t remember seeing one.x
Oh my ... yes, I have loads of sketchbooks and art journals. Will have to share them sometime in a video...
