Finally someone does a story on this subject. My wife hates when I alert other drivers about their headlights. And I have been saying this for years. The manufacturers will finally stop this when they get sued.
The real answer is the people have become more and more unconscious by the day. My favorite ones are those who drive with no lights on while it’s dark and pouring rain.
Every driver of these cars with is oblivious. I constant attempt to get them to turn on headlights to i see their taillights and nope. Day time running lights are too bright for drivers to realiE they dont have their taillighta on
This drives me absolutely up the damn wall. People have literally gotten more lazy and disconnected. The absolute last place you want to do that is the fucking road. Driving is not a natural activity despite having *some* activities of daily living in it, and people have stopped caring. We are small and squishy, cars are not. Well, some are not.
Let's please not forget about regular maintenance by a trusted, qualified mechanic who do lamp inspections on every visit. When's the last time you've looked at your OWN car's taillights?
Daytime running lamps. If your lights are already on automatically, you won't think to turn them on (taillights). Engineers are brilliant, but no common sense.
Light dashboards and AUTOmatic headlights..... Auto headlights don't turn on with FOG and RAIN, you don't think about your headlight and tail lights anymore, In older vehicles is much much harder to drive with them off...
My observation over many years is that Toyota’s are the worst for this. At dawn, dusk or rain, when about every vehicle has at least the DRL’ s on, if not full headlights, if you see an oncoming vehicle with no lights on at all, 9 out of 10 times, the “dark” vehicle is a Toyota. I don’t know what it is about their lighting controls, but I will never buy one until this is corrected. My Mazda’s have auto lights, and one can adjust the sensitivity when they turn on. And/or, I can just turn the lights on manually, and they turn off with the ignition. So one can simply leave the lights on always.
The problem stupid boomer drivers who think they save energy by turning there headlights off. Almost every car in the last fifteen years have daylight running or auto headlights... Daylights lights at night are at least something. My problem is the many drivers with nothing on at all. Its not mechanical or they are broken. It's about three percent at times and these idiots sonehow think they are conserving somethjng

I see this on old cars from the 90's so this video does not help
I flash to alert other drivers and my husband hates it too. But it’s so dangerous. Toyotas and Hondas are they worst!
Nope, I'm noticing people purposely driving without headlights, or tail lights even if on dangerous rural roads with hardly any street lights.
exactly, I want to know why?
deer maybe?@@alexshatner3907
Nope, You're assuming.. You have no proof what they are doing in their own vehicle..
Bro.. It's getting worse
See it every day
There gangstalkers following without being noticed

This also drives me crazy. And it’s usually a Toyota or Honda.
My 2022 Tacoma has no dashboard lights if the lights are off ( exactly as it should be)
smart vehicle

I try to get those driving in front of me with tail lights off by turning my headlights on:off a few times

why do vehicles even give the option to have no lights on?
Watch the fuckin video🥴
Problem with the Porsche solution is I want to be able to turn my headlights off when Im sneaking...
Otherwise, they are always on auto!
I think a sub division of this activity may be intentional.

DRLs should turn the tailights too.

My opinion; These Phantom drivers are just trying to be a badass, like some kind of Super Hero.Until they're rear ended by a Semi !!
Design problem
