I noticed this trend happening in NYC too. Guys take off plates and speed like crazy. It looks fun as hell but I’ve seen their youtube videos where they slalom around the cars on parkways sometimes even clipping other cars. It doesn’t matter how good of a driver you are because you’re dealing with regular drivers and can’t ever predict what others might do. Think of this: at those speeds you can hit someone or clip someone where they lose control and die. Next time cops see you driving you’ll be priority and won’t stop the pursuit just because you’re driving over 140mph. When they catch you they’ll put you away for life for vehicular manslaughter. You can see the reflection of the headlights as the car fakes turning right and then the larger flash as he fully turns the car around, fully facing the headlights at the door for a second and then turns and goes the other way. Funny things happen over 140mph on LA freeways. The curves, bumps etc pretty much restrict even the most skilled drivers to top out at 140mph. These are a few straight flat areas where 160-165 for a mile or 2. This is assuming that the car is of this standard or better.
Crazy, I used to have a C6 Zo6 and would easily hit 150-160 on various windy country roads it would get scary being a RWD. I felt much safer in my Audi S3 Quattro going that speed and much more stability but I would never try to outrun officers or drive in that traffic, no matter how good of a driver one is, it creates panic in others and that just not cool.

When an officer pulls you over and you ignore him, then the charges continue to mount. At that point, the guy is doing 140 mph. So, obviously, one of the charges is speeding. Another charge is eluding and evading. If drugs are found, he will be charged with that too. The main point is that if you have nothing to hide, you will pull over. And, you will be let go. It happened to me. I was pulled over because there was allegedly a crime and the person fit my description. I immediately pulled over. I was let go without even a warning. If I ran for no reason, then charges will mount against me, irrelevant of the reason for the initial stop.

@Somberdemure No. The commentator asked what violation he was being pulled over for, while he is driving 140 mph. When an officer pulls you over and you ignore him, then the charges continue to mount. At that point, the guy is doing 140 mph. So, obviously, one of the charges is speeding. Another charge is eluding and evading. If drugs are found, he will be charged with that too. The main point is that if you have nothing to hide, you will pull over. And, you will be let go. It happened to me. I was pulled over because there was allegedly a crime and the person fit my description. I immediately pulled over. I was let go without even a warning. If I ran for no reason, then charges will mount against me, irrelevant of the reason for the initial stop.
