Guy married his ex a year after his wife's murder and spent the day of her candlelit vigil selling her stuff?
Did he also hang up a big neon sign saying "I DID IT"?

Well after a year its possible to move on, but the 1st death anniversary actions were awful. o Keep in mind these can possibly be post hoc ergo proper hawk fallacies. ''correlation doesn't automatically mean causation''. The amanda knox case is famous for this. Her roommate who she didn
t know well died and she just didn't care. She was doing all this sexual stuff with her boyfriend at the crime scene search. The police and press made such big deal outta of it, ''omg your best friend in world died and you don't even care you monster! you knew her for all those 10 seconds you saw her, you grew your hair together,, '' There have been cases where people do insanely disrespectful things after a death and just are dicks, not killers. You need Some hard evidence to back up that suspect behavior. then you've passed reasonable doubt in my books. Though dumb juror's often fall for appeal to emotion . Convicting sometimes innocent people to life in jail with zero hard evidence. The data on witness testimony show's its one of the least reliable forms of evidence. Like as high as 90% inaccurate

Nah, Mike read way too much into that. She's making that face because the sun is in her eyes. Her mother is literally standing right on her other side, so if you think she's "in agony" because of who's next to her, she must hate her mother too.

I have never met a hero that tells you about their heroism. My dad NEVER told us his heroic efforts in Vietnam resulted in 2 Purple Hearts and another honor so high we were unbelievably stunned. We found out about his heroic acts that benefited our country and POWs when he sought VA medical help due to medical disease and a bout with PTSD that came on 20 years later re-triggered by an major life event.HEROES don’t EXCLAIM their heroism.

I worked for a vet who had 2 purple hearts (& a few other goodies) in a little shadow box. I knew he flew helicopters that picked up fallen/injured soldiers in Vietnam... But didn't know about any awards until I asked him about the shadow box one day. He told me a little bit about his story (even getting shot while he way flying) but was very nonshalant about it. He rarely talked about war.

This is actually a case from my county. I worked in a pharmacy and therefore spoke with Dr Kauffman many times. We were all so surprised first at the death of his wife, then at his behavior afterwards. It was not surprising though that Atlantic county detectives drug their feet on this case. With the exception of Atlantic city the county is extremely inexperienced in homicide and Linwood is a very tiny town that houses the affluent of Atlantic County so they all knew dr Kauffman personally. Actually the home she was murdered in is situated in a gated community housing judges and many physicians. My point being that they didn't want to investigate a friend and neighbor. I am very happy he was finally held accountable.

It makes the suspect feel calmer and validated, which means they’re more likely to cooperate and speak to the police and give them information that they can later use against him in court to get him convicted.
