The skeleton for Jerry’s death is actually an rejected puppet that originally attended for the library ghost transformation scene in ghostbusters so Steve Johnson kept it and the prop got used for fright night later on the remains that survived ended up with the director . And evil Amy’s smile ended up being used for the promotional material for the film. Lastly: Charlie sheen was originally up for the role of Charley Brewster he got turned down by execs due to being way too handsome so the role went to William Ragsdale. Both Amanda Bearse and Stephen Geoffrey’s stared in the comedy fraternity vacation that came out in the same year as Fright Night in 85 .
I can remember seeing this movie for the first time as a kid in the mid/late 80's. The scene (in the thumbnail) where Amy's teeth go completely rogue fascinated me. Even at around 11 or 12 years of age I found it amazing how the makeup artists could transform her mouth in to that of a massive snapper turtle containing the teeth of a demon...
