It seems that it should have been left at that, but evil must know that it is not welcome. It should not be made to feel comfortable enough to continue on. Would YOU want a vampire to go on feeding on your family, friends and neighbors? Causing all kinds of chaos in your community by creating legions of demons??
He hold the holy water by fireplace just to get better view of it if it is a real holy water or tap water... Or he was trying to neutralise the holy water !
Never could understand how if that water was blessed he could drink it. He is obviously a vampire, he saw no reflection in his mirror. If a vampire was to drink blessed water it would burn him right through from the second it touched his lips. Know it's just a movie an all, but not exactly sticking to vampire law, or legend.
This is best horror movie in my childhood and I didn't watch it since, am almost afraid it Would ruin my good memory. It was not showed here but he placed his hand with the bottle near the fireplace for quite some time almost like he unpurified it.
The best VAMPIRE MOVIE OF ALL TIME.
