I remember this movie! I thought it was very good. Thank you for uploading. I've now seen this movie two times. The ending was phenomenal and why my memory of this movie has stuck with me since I was a kid. This is a horror masterpiece.
Actors could have real bodies back then, like regular folk. Look at Charles Durning: Overweight, short, face like a potato, but what a fantastic actor he was!
I also watched it when I was a kid. It scared the living daylight out of me, and every little sound I heard, would make me jump lol, plus growing up on a farm way out in the country surely didn't make things any better.

I've still got this on VHS at my mum's. We used to watch it over and over when I was growing up in the early 80s. I'm surprised the tape isn't chewed up! My heart still sinks when bubba says "Bubba didn't do it"! 🥺

My fave scene is where the portly postman C.D. runs atop a cemetary slab like a cat then leaps and flies 30 ft in the air to land on his bud! 🤣🤣🤣 Couldn't stop laughing for 5 minutes. Other than that it's a very underrated scary movie. A joy to watch. thx Deb 🤩
This movie is very good and teaches us some good lessons: 1) we must be careful when taking justice into our own hands, so as not to commit an injustice, 2) not every person with mental problems is dangerous, 3) we must be careful with our children, the girl's mother is totally careless

When he fell into the trimmer , instead of showing blood, the scene switched to the strawberry jam being splattered on the breakfast platter. I thought that was cleverly edited, leaving it up to the viewer's Imagination.
it's no joke. This is the most haunting and horryfing expierience ever AND I SAW SYBIL ON TV. this was even worse. idek why but this was the grand daddy for sure.

Right? My parents literally took me to the theater to see Poltergeist. They had to throw their hands over my eyes during "the scene". I WAS SIX 🤣
