Marillion are a great band! Some of their earlier music , with their original singer( not the singer in this performance), can be quite depressing lol , but brilliantly emotional, never the less.
Whilst you're checking that out, listen to The Great Escape, Gaza and Care. If you can, listen to live versions. Marillion on cd are amazing, but on stage they are on a completely different level to anyone else
The singer, Steve Horgarth, was not at his best, if you can believe that, due suffering from a cold that particular Marillion Weekend. a "Marillion Weekend" used to involve fans travelling from all over the world to one of several lucky major cities on varied continents to find lodging and pruchase a wristband that allowed access to three completely different concerts by the band Friday through Sunday. Alas, these guys are making some concessions to their aging bodies nowadays, and the event now generally features only two concerts. With so many fans coming from faraway and paying extra for lodging and meals out, Hogarth followed the old showbiz adage about "the show must go on", and he did the three concerts in three nights despite the trouble with his voice. Lots of fans cherish the effort and choose videos from that weekend because of the vocal problems.
@@BlessingReacts. People click on links to reaction videos because they see the title of a favorite song. With Marillion, there just aren't enough fans of the band to give you a lot of clicks, views, and likes. The limited number of fans of the band are totally bonkers about Marillion, so you will attract some attention from people like myself. It's a crying shame how small this band's audience really is when compared to how heart-boggling their music is I could type all day and night about Marillion, but I'll leave with just a couple of good points to make should you do a deep dive into the band. First, Marillion had a different singer prior to 1989, and the music just isn't as moving, so stick to songs from albums released after 1989. Second, always choose a live video rather than a studio recording. Hogarth's vocals are a dozen times more impactful when he's placed on a stage in front of a live audience. If you can cram a 17-minute song into your alloted time for a reaction, I'd recommend you do "Ocean Cloud" next. ua-cam.com/video/R2gSZXqpr2g/v-deo.html
