That's the way I went up Ophir alot of jeeps coming down I had to wait on my klr 650. You are right momentum is key once you stop hard to get going up the mountain alot steeper than it looks on video. Lots of loose rocks I stood up on my pegs and hauled butt up Ophir pass it made it alot easier that way.
I agree totally: speed and momentum. I also have a 790 R. Can you tell me what tire pressures you ran for this run? The last time I rode this I was on a beta 390 but I intend to ride it on my new BMW 1300 GS And I’m wondering what tire pressure to use. It sure seems like it works so much better at 20 pounds than 30 or 35.
This is going toward Ophir from US 550, correct? We will be going the opposite direction and taking it slow. Great video! I’m going to film it with my GoPro Max. Hope I run into you next weekend at the Cabin Fever Ride.
You nailed. I did it on the same bike. Kept speed up and had no issues. Momentum is your friend. Nice!
Yes, clear path and momentum are key here.
For me your video as like time machine 🥰🔥👍
