When you look back on all your life's adventures, I believe this memory, helping this rider, will be among your most cherished memories. Nicely done.
I recently fractured my ankle riding a GS on the Idaho BDR. Been laid up all summer. I’m in my 60’s, don’t have a lot of off road experience, but did take a couple of training courses. I’ve also watched many instructional videos but I’ve got to say that watching your video, especially with you instructing your friend while riding through hairpins was very educational. Not sure I’ll ride off road again, especially Ophir Pass, but if I do ride a less technical road I’ll remember your instructions. Great job and thanks!!
Best video so far. Marcelo wasn’t gonna make it down without you, much respect for him not giving up. He now has a adventure under his belt. Thanks for helping him out.
That dude should have mailed you $1000 dollars. He has no business off of any paved road. You saved his bacon! !
That’s our friend!!! He’s definitely doing good now!
Thanks for doing the right thing and help him down. Maybe someday he will help someone else.
Congrats to you and your buddies. Really well done. Wow, saying Marcelo was over his head is the understatement of the year.... Tackling a notoriously difficult pass with no research, solo, without the skills, without proper gear (sneaker etc), wrong tires........ Wow!!!! I could almost feel his fear and panic. Situations like this can turn deadly pretty easily. It took a lot of patience and perseverance to get him down so Kudos to you and your riding buddies. Respect!
Great job, Brock, in helping Marcello down that rocky track. Words of wisdom, to be sure! That helps explain your calm demeanor and Good Samaritan attitude.
I want to commend you on your efforts to help that gentleman down the mountain. You really went above and beyond. I was so impressed with your patience and guidance. Godspeed on your future endeavors!
This guy was completely worn out. At that altitude it is a tough recovery. I have seen some good riders get altitude sickness and suffer a lot. He will be much better next time.
Marcelo, you did it man! Almost nobody can lift their bike 15 times and keep on fighting! Much less at that high altitude. You are a fighter and a champ!!!
Good on you man. I've been on that road in a truck, but I can imagine the fear and frustration he was feeling. Having other people there with you and supporting you makes a huge difference.
All us down here in Austin thank you for getting our guy Marcelo down the mountain
Wow, good job helping out someone who was in way over his head! Loved how you stayed so calm and worked so hard to keep him going and had such good advice for him. You got a new subscriber out of this one. Best adventure bike video I've seen in a while!
Attitude/Perspiration/Determination! Good job helping that young man off a dangerous section. 🙏👍😀
The adventure bike community is always willing to lend a hand.
I’m sure Marcelo appreciates you guys taking the time to coach him down that mountain. Thank you guys. Safe travels.
Y'all got to see some amazing flowers up there! Beautiful mountains, love the million dollar highway
Respect!!
You are a good man for helping a fellow biker ( Marcelo ) I did that pass three years ago, tough section. Much respect to you and your buddys.
