It’s a bit of a shame to see the Longines Master Calendar Chronograph get knocked out so early, it’s such a beautiful watch that provides so much complexity for such good value.
Hard to go up against the Tudor cult. The sheep always come out in big numbers
One of my favs. I have the moon phase in blue.

#1?
Shows most voters got interested in watches around 4-5 years ago. My first 5 years back in the early '90s was also pretty much just about sports/dive watches. Another 5 years deepens the knowledge & broadens your mind.
I love the way this video moves quickly while providing great information. Its very to the point without being rushed
If it’s not 200m then I can’t wear it. I scuba dive 4 times a week during my lunch break in my corporate job.
I need 300m because I wash my hands every hour..
and what about if the guys in the office get the super soakers out again as well
@@BFit25 And I'm really bad at washing my hands haha.
@@sequoianagamatsu1402 who needs to wash their hands. I mean are you that bad at going to the bathroom ?
Okay haha.
Can't argue with much here. I do think you should offer a consolation matchup between the 2 semifinals losers.
Indeed, much like the 3rd place game in the World Cup.
I'm the proud owner of a Longines Zulu time Blue with a Leather strap. No disrespect to Tudor but this watch gets so many compliments that its unreal. The on the fly strap adjustment is fenomenal and finally its very accurate. Thanks for the video and keep the good work
Curious as to what compliments you get and from who?
Can you be more specific please.
How many over what period of time?
Is it the only watch you wear (if not how often do you wear it so the compliment frequency can be more accurate)?
It’s such a shame Longines did not fit the strap ends to the case better.
It looks like an aftermarket strap, but they could have curved the ends and the white stitching to give a much better aesthetic IMO
It also looks too matt for the watch (I have one on a bracelet and love it BTW) in the photo of the 42mm I just looked at.
Matt blue with white stitching looks more ship than aircraft to me.
A blue curved croc would have suited the watch much better maybe.
I also have that watch. I have both the leather and steel bracelets. I really love the watch.
LOL those tacky 5 stars on the dial must be a big hit in your town.
That Longines Zulu makes me take a deep breath every time I see it.
Yo the production quality is always perfect ❤ love the team behind this work
That Longines Conquest chrono looks fantastic!
First time seeing it but damn it stood out
Agreed
Why would you spend 4 grand on a watch that so many people own?.. Longines is by far the best value brand! I own a green Hydroconquest, and looking to add the root beer GMT next year! No surprise in this showdown.. most popular watch won!
Imo it looks good but also a bit generic
Before I even started watching this, I thought "It's going to come down to the Tudor BB 58 and 54." If they put a t-fit adjustable clasp on the 58 this year following watches and wonders, I'll be wearing it by the end of the year!
Yup same. Only thing keeping me from buying a BB58 is the Tclasp.
100% it was very obvious.
Love the Black Bay. Was never in doubt!
Great video Teddy! My blue BB58 is still on my wrist more often than any out of my collection. IMO it is one of the best watch issues of the last decade.
Awesome video Teddy!
Could you make a tournament for Microbrands only. It would be great to see Baltic competing against Lorier, Traska and many of the other brands.
These tournaments are so fun! Thanks.
Well deserved win, it's an incredible watch. I remember getting mine years ago, changed my perspective on the rest of my collection. It is still dominating wrist time to this day...
Finally. I nailed this one out of the gate simply licking my favorite of the group. Love these match ups.
Love the music on this video, very well done, tasteful and programmatic to the different sections of the video! Obvious win for the BB58 but the music made this video enjoyable for me to watch to the end.
This is just too cool Teddy! Hope to see more of these every year. After some time it would be cool have a winners tournament for each price range.
Predictable result. Great video Teddy!
Great video thanks Teddy!❤
Can't argue with much here. Love this type of tournament!
Nomos Club win straight up
I bought one a month ago, surprised at how well it wears and it has more wrist time than my Breitling or Grand Seikos.
@@urbanracer032 I have looked at the dial in the sun and it's stunning. Wonder if CLUB SPORT NEOMATIK POLAR it's equal to a Rolex Oyster perpetual 124300... @teddy ???
This is great. Thanks, Teddy. Time for a 4K to 5K tournament!
Agreed! As an owner of the BB58 blue, I absolutely agree! Best watch ever!
Agreed, its essentially perfect
I hope they make the BB54 in blue!
The Citizen Promaster Diver NB6021-68L with titanium bracelet has the very same aesthetic and look as the BB58 with blue dial. Of course this Citizen watch is only 1K and not as expensive the BB58. Given the choice I very much like the blue dial version of that Tudor watch than the black dial. That blue color really stands out.
Always love the Tudor black bay
Hey Teddy, great series, would love to see more! But as the cost increases more and more it reaches a price range where people that have never handled such watches will end up voting for the “best” watch. As you know handling in person can completely make or break a watch. So, I would like to propose a series where the same price range tournaments are conducted BUT a separate one where only watch experts and UA-camrs vote! I would love to see the differences in rankings vs the general public.
hello thank you for the work you have done, it is very interesting and useful to know how to do such comparisons good luck thank you for your channel with respect
Beautiful watches . Great tournament . i am glad that LONGINES performed very well .
Good day, could anyone be kind enough to answer just a few question I have below about automatic watches ? Particularly the Tissot PRX Powermatic 80
When I first get the watch, or in the situation where the watch stops moving completely after days of not wearing, are we suppose to hand-wind the crown clockwise 10-15 times until the hands starts moving and then wear as normal ?
Second question would be, is hand-winding the crown enough or should we actually shake the watch or not necessary ?
Amazing I just got a Tudor BB58 blue lightly used box and papers for 2.3K!!! great value honestly
Great matchup!
All excellent watches in this tournament. Even better they are ALL available to buy!
Cool to see Longines represented so strongly, they have so many quality offerings in this range
I own the bb58 blue.. no surprises here , it simply has it all , great looks , dimensions, versatility, movement and bang for buck nothing can touch it… it’s understated class and I absolutely love it!
Enjoying the match ups. I think it was a great result, from the Tudor brand. Deserving.
That Grand Seiko GMT is gorgeous, I just wish it was automatic.
Love the format! I hope the manufacturers pay attention.
Let’s hope not! If they do, they will think that everybody in the world wants a fake Rolex! The market is already over saturated with dive watches that nobody actually uses for their intended purpose. Let’s not make it worse!
I hope to see more tournaments in the future
I agree with the Black Bay 58. Can’t wait for the next tournament.
Although I don't see the BB58 blue as hyped or posted on social media as much as when it came out in 2020, it's still a spectacular color. Even though both my Tudor ADs have a lot more stock now, I very rarely see the blue in the display. I would love to see the BB58 get some updates, such as a T-fit clasp. Personally, I not so secretly hope for an all blue Pelagos 39 or 41mm Black Bay METAS diver to be released at W&W this year. If so, it could be the first Tudor I buy.
I’m curious your thoughts on double wristing. Would love to see a video about that.
Just got the green bezel Longines Spirit Zulu Time. Wanted it since it came out. LOVE IT!
Wearing mine now. Nothing like when the light hits the hands just right
@@stocksxbondage Yeah, I was driving home yesterday from the AD, sun is right on it. Showed it to my wife in the house when I got home, she wasn't seeing all the fun the light plays with it. Went to go walk our dog, the sun was blocked by the clouds....
Have the same Watch, On brown strap. Love it
@@frankmirandosr875 I've ordered the strap
I just bought my first Tudor. I went with the black bay pro as it suits my life better. Next is a black bay 58 or 41 with the blue dial. Love that look.
I have the 58 and 54. But I love and wear the BB Pro the most!
I do love the OG black BB58
I have the original 58 and love it. I've been eyeing the Zulu time for a while now.
Holding out for a larger Blue BB58 on a jubilee bracelet... will it happen this year?
No surprise. The Tudor BB is such a solid watch. And yes, do $5k
Good contest
for future videos if you refer to a previous videos matchup, for example when you brought up that only one matchup from the previous video had a 70-30 margin could you also state the watches that were in that matchup? think that would make the comparison much better. favourite watch series on youtube rn though great work!
Love my Tudor ist my absolute everyday watch.. great tournament and not surprised at the winner.. 🥇
Love this kind of tournament. Got to know a lot of watches in a short time. Well done!
These watches are very good and can be used for a long time.
Enjoyable tournament with predictable outcome, but one I agree with. When the Tudor 54 is released in blue, however, lookout.
Whoa…my Oris Big Crown Pointer date with the 403 caliber making it to 7th seed! Love that watch and fits like a glove! The dial is amazing in the metal…always gets comments when I am out and about with it!
I cannot agree more. I was very happy to see it on the list, seeding 7th was quite a surprise. A super readable inky dark blue dial with high contrast markers combined with a decent red tipped pointer date work brilliantly.
Not to surprised. The 58 blk is so well executed. Perfectly nostalgic but if you're not going that way, the blue is also a fantastic watch. Tudor really brings it. Value, execution, heritage.
Teddy where is that shirt from???!!! It’s perfect!!!
I have a BB58 in blue. I love it, but I would have considered the 39mm Longines Spirit Zulu Time had it been available when I got my BB58! Of course, I now want one.
“We’re all crazy people”!
Both good quality watches. Longines Spirit Zulu is my daily watch and I absolutely love it. I don’t have any Tudor watches (yet 😂) but always heard pretty good things about them from friends.
@@juliuscaesar5360 It seems like the Zulu Time would check a lot of boxes, and it would do everything I want in a watch. It’s gorgeous, too!
The BB58 is better mate. I have them both.
my favorite is Tudor black bay pro
Zulu 2nd
And bb58 3rd
Thank you for always putting out educated, fair and neutral content. I’ve learned as much about watches from you as I have with doing my own research and reading. I’ve never heard you speak poorly about a brand, style or other dealer/creators. You have said at times that a brand or type of watch wouldn’t be a fit or a type would be for you. You always find positive mentions about the brand or model. In the last couple days, I’ve seen other “watch dealers/content creators” kind of hating on you for your success. They say they’re happy for you all while basically whining about UA-cam and monetizing content. Then he goes on to speculate WHY you opened a brick and mortar store, “for your image.” I guess it rubbed me the wrong way because it appeared in my feed saying because I watch your content. So thank you for not being like that guy and always being professional and doing what you do. Congrats on the store!
Hello, what is your opinion of davosa?
Very entertaining video. Let's do all price point. I'm curious to see the results.
I dont know how the matchup works but why is the topmost seed being matched against the bottomest seeds? Doesnt that favor the top seed to win every time? Would it not make better sense to pit #1 against #2, #3 against #4, and so on?
Explain if you can. Thanks
Longines Zulu Time is just the perfect watch. Not a fan of Tudor.
I'm so bored with the Black Bay style watches. They do nothing for me.
When you compare it to the Submariner, the BB is so unoriginal. Meanwhile Longines is just firing out original designs year after year. Tudor just changes the colors and call it “new”. I wish people would consider that with the voting. With all the tudors in the lead, you can tell people sometimes vote for what they *think* is supposed to win rather than really asking why that particular watch is special.
@@stocksxbondage Build & movement count for something you know. I'd never buy a tacky Longines...in fact Tudor is right on the cheap 'n' nasty cusp too but I do own one.
@@user-vc7sn6oy3j yeah? humility and class count for something too. Pro tip: people with wealth who aren’t insecure about money don’t talk like that 😂 Only people with broke mindsets play the name brand game. Can you imagine being at a party full of grown adults and talking like that? “Cheap n nasty cusp” lol so distasteful. And sassy 😂 Are you a man? Because my guy friends wouldn’t let me live that down.
@@user-vc7sn6oy3j You seem so cool! 🤩 I bet you’re like a real life James Bond driving nice cars with beautiful women and wearing fancy watches! You’re definitely not a sassy guy with money insecurity. You made that abundantly clear!
I was thinking about a Zulu timer after my last vacation
Would like to try the 41 burgundy tudor before I pull any strings in other watches
Got the Longines from Exquisite Timepieces!!!!
Up to a few years ago, OMEGA would had won this, hands down.
Too bad they inflated their prices so fast.
universal geneve is a good watch brand as well, breitling bought it
This 12.24 video was more exciting than any sport tournaments.
I just wonder what the music from the background at Minute 10:45 :)
I got the BB54 due to my small wrist (15cm) and I'm happy with it. I was considering the Black Bay 36 as everyday but the dial is too similar to the 54! If Tudor will make a 36mm Ranger I would like it a lot
Watching this while wearing my BB58 Blue. No surprise here!
I could easily see the Longines Master Calendar as my next watch. I do already own a Tudor BB and Longines Zulu Time... (and a Spring Drive GS Snowflake)... so it only makes sense.
Agree
The 58 is a perfect watch. No surprise, what did surprise me was how fast the tank got knocked out,
Hey teddy, wanna review the new Christopher Ward GMT Dune? im super excited about it. would love to see your review on it
100% do a $5k please. Love these and also enjoy participating in the voting. It was fun watching the match ups progress!
I so knew that piece would be the absolute winner of this price category and can’t wait to get my own someday. I should have put money on this tournament so I could put it towards it.
Haven’t watched the video yet but I would bet the BB58 blue wins. 😊let’s see!
Worth mentioning that the Zulu Time was right at the bottom of the price bracket for this tournament at slightly over $3000. In fact I think the leather strap versions are below $3000. So it did fantastic to do so well.
I have the Oris Aquis 400, Longines Hydro Conquest and Longines Zulu Time time in my collection…. Love them all, but the Hydro Conquest has become my default “beater watch” and has never let me down, but I actually get the most compliments when wearing my Oris…..
Same here, I get some favourable comments on my Aquis 400, I guess maybe because it looks like a more modern watch and the fume dial and finish is wonderful. Oddly my most commented watch by far is my old Reverso Duoface and that's from who I would call non watch nerds who don't even realise the watch can flip.
Polls are tough when you vote off videos or photos. Wearing them especially over time can change your opinion drastically! Great aggregation of watches though
True but not a lot of people get to try on/wear every watch especially in the 4,000 dollar price point
The Longines ultra-chron should have made it
I thought the master calendar got snubbed. But no surprise at Tudor 58 being so dominant. Even without the t fit clasp.
Funny that the finale is just a black bay, but what size do you want?
Would love to see a video with the best watches with roman dials
Tudor at this price point.
Rolex at the next.
Patek thereafter.
Then call it a day.
i guess the final should be between tudor and longines , and i would be hesitant to chose which . but eventually it is what it is .
Greates
Tudor has some nice watches, but Longines is the only company that has so many references that appeal to me.
The Conquest Chronograph and Spirit Zulu Time are on my wish list.
Dear Teddy, can you make video for Cartier watches (what is difference? because there are usually same looks)
Trick question. I have the 403 oris pointer Date. But limited Holstein edition gray dial
Coming up to 1 million subscribers Teddy.
Going for mid $2ks used, BB58 hands down winner.
Spirit zulu would be an easy choice at this price for sure.
The cheapest watch I own is the BB GMT S&G root beer, which I love but that BB58 is just the perfect Tudor.
Hi Teddy, I'd like a new PR516 video and PR516 VS Speedmaster video too! Saludos desde 🇲🇽
Great competition for the submariner homage
As soon as Tudor puts the T-fit clasp on *all* their Black Bay watches, nothing else in their price range (roughly US$3-5k) will be able to compete, it won't even be close. For those who don't know: the T-fit clasp is their tool-free microadjustment system, similar to Rolex Glidelock, which Tudor previously only put on the Pelagos but just recently introduced (only) on the red-bezel Black Bay 58 but not any of the other Black Bay divers (why? no clue but I expect them to put it on the rest soon because, why wouldn't they?).
There's a BB58 red bezel with a T clasp? Where can I find info on that? As far as I thought it was BB54 and the Burgundy 41 that had the T clasp and none of the BB58 had a T clasp or Burgundy bezel. Much appreciated if you had more info.
quite agree with the black bay 58 winning, i would of preferred the longines zulu in the final against the Tudor 58.
the black bay 54 is just too small for me. the surprise of the bunch was the light blue dial seiko 34mm width is in the women's section
Happy to see that Cartier is getting more attention that it deserves.
The Tudor BB58 is just an amazing package. It wears incredibly well on wrist, checks the critical boxes for spec junkies, carries a touch of Rolex DNA, and is objectively an excellent design.
I would like to know if you compared the winner against an equivalent Tag to see which, from a technical viewpoint, is the better made watch.
