For a low-income student wanting to learn Unreal and frantically trying to get discount codes for the $7,000 classes they offer online, you were a godsend. I truly hope you feel my gratitude and appreciation!! If you have a donation account, I can send whatever I can. Please let us know!
The entire purpose was to serve people and ensure we provide free education for this tutorial series. So just enjoy it and go do something useful with the knowledge
I...I think this was the first tutorial on Unreal I've ever finished. Hands down I would pay money to have you create more tutorials on Unreal. I think we just found the best people to ever teach Unreal.
This is probably the most interesting way to do a tutorial. Rather than just showing how to do something, you make it more like im actually in the classroom. Hope that you guys can have another series of tutorial. Thank you for all your hard work to complete this tutorial series
That was the goal since the beginning. Glad that you realised it
Now we need an intermediate Unreal Engine tutorial series guys T____T *shouting to POLYCAM in the back!*
Yes! 🙏
Guys, I'm dead sure you can fix every area of my life. I watched this entire series in the middle of the night and couldn't switch it off. Absolutely brilliantly done and probably the best tutorial series I've watched in the last 15 years. I actually sat here looking at the screen with a big grin at some of the shots and features you put on. If I had a hat, I'd doff it to you.
wow buddy thank you so much for saying this.. it really means a lot and we are super happy that this tutorial has helped you
This is the first Unreal tutorial "Series" I watched till the end. Amazing Job and this series should be the DeFacto beginners' guide for anyone getting into unreal.
I cannot imagine what kind of hard work this was for you guys. You did such an amazing job putting this all together.
I have followed all kinds of tutorials for 3D and VFX for past 10+ years as well as graduated with a 3D animation and VFX degree. This by far, is one of the best tutorial series out there.
For it to be this good, you guys must have had many sleepless nights, lots of challenges that drove you crazy, and a huge learning curve for yourselves. But you never gave up, were patient, believed in yourselves, and materialized it.
Those that are reading this, you need to give these guys lots of respect and support them anyway you can! At least, let’s make sure we are subscribed with notifications on, and like every single video!
Please keep up what you are doing! We need people like you!
Just Completed your course. I don't normally post comments on any videos, but I had to let you guys know that I, as well as many others truly appreciate the time and effort you guys put into this. I've wanted to learn these types of programs since I was young. Every attempt I've made in the past, was horrible or just uninformative. Every step of your program was very clear, and its been a long time since I've had fun learning anything. Thank you so much!
28:02 thank you for the round of applause but you guys are the ones deserving it. Never thought I’d learn Unreal in such a comprehensible way and still have fun in the process. Truly THANK YOU
This takes me back to 3DBuzz era, where tutorials were very easy to follow and very entertaining as well.
I used to use 3DSMax for fun and for work loooooooong ago, and procrastinated on UE5 until earlier last month.
I just played around in it and was able to do quite a bit, but, I just went through every single one of your videos and learned soooo much! Things that were annoying me, you shared how to do it much quicker. Things I was proud of, you taught how to make them look much better. This was just such a great series!
You have a subscriber for life out of me now!
While I went into UE wanting to make games, I now see how easy it is to do cinematics and I will be sharing time between both while waiting on new content from you guys to learn even more.
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!
I need to say something very quick! I paid for Josh Toonen’s course which is around 500$ and I compared it to this FREE series and you guys explain UE waaaaaay better than that course!!!! Which confirm again that you guys took a very good “bad decision” for making this series free 😂 joking aside, you guys need to be really proud of this series. I think by making it free, you are building a community who trust you. Thanks again but I think you need to create another course (intermediate) and charge for it bcz you guys deserve it 👏👏👏
Wow! This comment blew us away! It did take a lot of time and effort to make this happen. We appreciate that there are people like you who understand what it took to say no to charging for this course. We took 3 months to reiterate and rewrite the script to make it as simple to understand as possible! We know that people who don’t have the money to buy a course can learn from this and go and create income for themselves and that feeling for us is worth 10x more. We learnt ourselves from free tutorials from people like Andrew Price @blenderguru and Winbush, so we wanted to give back in the same way.
@badxstudio do you have a video or can you please make on about the income making side of things?
🇭 🇪 🇱 🇵
It is constantly crashing during rendering, i almost finished that project please help me to render it🥺😭
00:44 Farhads facial expression about the dead comrades is just epic XDDDDDDDDD Love you guys.
Lololol Gold! Love you too man
Probably it was not in script lol
Farhad: Border Collie Energy
Faraz: Golden Retriever Energy
Best brothers, best teachers, best youtubers, best everything.
Luv ya both ❤❤
What a great journey... There was not one single point where I was lost or stagnating all thanks to the great explaining! Best UE tutorials out there
Probably THE greatest UNREAL tutorial on youtube. Thank you guys. I've been learning Unreal for the last 3 years, I've learned so many new tricks from binging this series in just the last 3 days.
Just wanted to let you guys know you are amazing. The best out there for UE5. If you decide to create a course (that gets updated over time) I would definitely pay a large amount of money. Thanks for the work 🙏
Y'all killed it!! Thanks for making this course. It was packed with not only principles and concepts but the little tips, too. Thank you!
Thank you for making this series. It's been a good journey from the start!
This whole tutorial series is timeless and greatly appreciated; coming from a newbie like myself getting into the Unreal world, THANK YOU BDS!
I'm absolutely blown away by the experience, A massive thank you❤❤
Simply great course!
I've been searching a lot for this type of lessons for quite some time and this delivered exactly what i needed! Much love to you guyz! Huge thanks and hope to see new, advanced tutorials for UE5. Would love to see your take on the upcoming UE v5.4. motion design tools and other new, exciting changes that will come with the new release!
Thanks again and keep it up! :)
Best Tutorial series out there for UE5 💯 Great job guys can't wait to finish off this project over the weekend !! Looking forward to seeing what your next series involves !! 🔥 🔥
Best journey ever. Just got UE and you guys helped me so much get into it. Will have to rewatch the videos alot to memorize it all but, Simply AMAZING!
Thank you for such an amazing and inspiring tutorial. Every part had loads of information that was important. I recommend anyone starting out in UE to start their 1st tutorial with you guys. I truly hope that you guys continue with your tutorial series and create another one in the future. This will be a staple of how UE tutorials should be done on UA-cam in the future. Absolutely amazing job guys.
What a fantastic series, my first Unreal course I finished. Although it focuses more on the movie use case for unreal and not the game dev side, it really helped me in both as a beginner and was the most easily understandable and followable series out there.
A big shout out and thank you! Both of you are truly awesome and I hope to get more tutorials and courses from you guys in future!
I wanted to take a moment to thank you two for this amazing tutorial series. Not only did you happen to just release it when I decided it was finally time to start learning Unreal, but you also showed all the important things you need to know for fuilm making without it getting boring for even a second - again, thank you for making this insanely valuable course entirely free for everyone and showing a guy like me coming from Blender just how much you can do without having to worry about it taking years to render. You did a lot for the 3D world, and whenever someone I know wants to learn Unreal I'll reffer them to this course. Cheers!
"Chào" very happy to hear your greetings. I have completed 19 of these amazing videos. Thousands of thanks to your channel.
What an amazing tutorial, by far the best I have seen and follow. Looking forward to more tutorials.
I have had to learn tons of software over the years, starting with Strata 3D way back in the day (1999 I believe), manual matchmoving in Maya, Cinema 4D etc etc. I can honestly say that for the first time ever, working in a piece of software Unreal is actually FUN. Nice series of tutorials guys, like the vibe!
Such a great course! Thanks so much guys for doing this - and for making it so fun. It really helped demystify UE and get started. Fantastic explanations and y'all work so well as a team to cover everything and make it all entertaining. Cheers!
Huge shoutout to you guys. I think this is the first tutorial I watched all the way to the end. Every episode very engaging. Very easy to follow and understand. Not hiding glitches of UE5, but rather showing how to go around them. Just amazing. Huge Kudos!
I’ve been waiting for this video for a while, desperately needed the render settings !
Hope you enjoy it brother
Amazing tutorial, tried several other ones and didnt finish, but this one I did. You guys can really summarize and explain super well, subbed :)
I cannot imagine what kind of hard work this was for you guys. You did such an amazing job putting this all together.
made it to the end! Such great training, I looked forward to every part. Thank you again!

Guys, thank you sooooooo much for this tutorial! Such an incredible help to learn this software!!! You have the right amount of being funny and teaching in an extraordinary way. I felt so lost with unreal until I found your channel. Giving people without having money to spend on such tuts the chance to learn properly is more than awesome. And it's so nice to see two brothers working together as you do. Wish you all the best forever and again: THANK YOU!!! Greetings from Bavaria! 🙂
Bravo boys! This series was fantastic and will be life changing for people.
Amazing how simple you guys make it.
Just started using Unreal Engine 5, 3 weeks ago and was doing only basic stuff. changing color on spheres and cubes.
After watching and following your toturial, i am already on my way to make another video.
There were some points I had to watch several times 😂 But it was because my graphics isnt the newest, and I had to watch closely to the parameters you guys were putting in.
I will recommend other to watch your tutorial as a great all-around starter.
Hope so see new tutorials from you soon.
Great series guys I’ve learned a lot from you.
I've gone through hundreds of videos on YT about UE5 and I must say with my hand on my heart that this is the most complete UE5 tutorial in terms of cinematics ever. Farhad, Faraz you guys are the best at what you do. It's been great listening to you and on the one hand it's sad that the series is over however, I will definitely be returning to it when creating my own project this time. Despite the fact that you are bad decisions, learning with you was my best decision ever ;)
I've just finished the course and wow, what a journey. Thank you guys for sharing your knowledge and showing us how to create a very amazing project with such wonderful tools. I'm a game developer and I learned a lot with this course. It's even better than a lot of paid courses and you guys really took the time and care to create this complete content for beginners. What makes it even more special is that I finished on May 4th, so may the force be with you!
I hope to see more UE5 content from you.
Thanks so much for the tutorial guys. I'm gonna be focusing on game development, but I wanted to follow this tutorial to really get my bearings and explore all the different facets of the Unreal Engine so I could feel comfortable navigating the UI. Excellent tutorial, subscriber well-earned.
Guys, you are doing such great work here, bringing a lot new people to unreal engine!!! 💯
I've partially watched lots of UA-cam tutorials on filmmaking in Unreal Engine, but never really got into it. This series was the first time I was able to follow along and actually start to learn it. It had the right blend of humor and interesting subject matter (the episodes on camera operating with the rails and crane and importing/animating characters were my favorites). Your teaching style kept me hooked through all 19 episodes even though I'm learning this on an obsolete trashcan MacPro from 2006 (which by the time I got to the cloning the stormtroopers part of the course was averaging a whopping FOUR FPS and probably starting to smoke) LOL, I'm amazed I was able to get all the way to the end of the series.
Thank you so much for all the effort you made in creating this course. I learned a whole lot and now eager to learn more (hopefully when I can get a better machine).
Thanks For sharing us this beautiful series. I hope you guyz come back in a better way as soon. I'm looking forward... Best wishes
you guys are the best! im no beginer but i watched all the series and learned new stuff already!
a small tip from me to you (you mentioned it in one of the tutorials) : to turn off the anoying "status bar" at the buttom left of the sequencer , go to the "view options"(the eye symbol) and there there is a checkbox to toggle the status bar on or off....
again thank you guys for all the great tutorials in this series and the rest also ! Cheers !
Thanks soooo much for all the tutorial !! Amazing work, you bring back my passion for 3D with this software and I hope I'll cook this year ;) Keep it this way it's perfect guys !!!
Awsome!! We want more!! ;) Great job you guys!!
You are one of the best, definetly deserve more and more subscribers. Thank you for the course.🎉
guys........ JUST THANK YOU for those tutorials u saved me a lot of time and hard work trying to know every thing sepratly
Thank you
Guys.. I just want to thank you from the bottom of my heart. For a while i wanted to learn UE5. And now, finally i found the perfect course to start my journey!! ❤️❤️
Absolute Master Piece, everything i learnt nearly took a whole month. However are you making more intermediate and advanced tutorial series, please tell me cause eagerly waiting for that. Your teaching style is awesome want to learn more from you guys. Hats off !
Thanks so much for the tutorial guys. Followed the whole thing and learned a ton. Bad Decisions are the best. This spaceship will be the unreal engine equivalent of the Blender Donut Tutorial 🍩
I could not continue with the animation part because of my hardware, but done everything upto that and it was very helpful. Thank you for this amazing tutorial series and watching you two talk and teach at the same time was fun.
That render time tho!
I remember using Cycles in Blender 3 to render a 15-second flyover of an ocean toward a sunset. It took 8 days to render. I am thankful to UE/Epic for making this process less painful and to Bad Decisions Studio for enabling me to render like a pro.
Absolutely love you guys, thank you.
As a victim of the animation industry's current crisis I've been deperately trying to force myself to start learning unreal with no success because I honestly didn't know where to start, but I'm so glad I found you guys because it meant this couse was my introduction to the program and I couldn't be any happier or more grateful. Amazingly informative and entertaining video series guys. I'm super motivated to keep learning now, thank you both so so much. Hope this helps turn the tides around soon.
Thank you so much for your time on this tutorial, Absolutely loved it. I learnt so much , you guys are Fantastic. Best Tutorial I have ever watched on UA-cam for Unreal Engine.

It would be nice to have a couple of extra parts like explaining how to add music & sound effects and one on how to create a video with the exported screenshots.
from the bottom of my heart i would like to thank you beautiful people!!! it is so informative, so well put together, i feel like i'm commiting a crime watching it for free. can't thank you enough
Just wanted to say a BIG thank you to you guys! 🤝Great tutorials and easy to follow. You could finish it up by adding one more episode on how to render this rendered images with Davinci to make it more cinematic like a movie trailer with some fx and music.

Glad you made it till here
It was great. I feel I have such a control on UE5 anymore, so I'm sleeeping well anymore. THANK YOU VERY MUCH!
Note: Do not hesitate to come back with Bonus Episode if you miss us 🖖
cool video! you are great masters
I'm finished :D I added some different animations towards the end. One of my Stormtroopers TRIPS and falls to the floor and gets back up and walks back into formation. Now for sound effects and voices. I want the dialog between the two troopers to be funny after the fall.
I did have an issue with my first render, my last camera shows the ship animation reset and start again, which ruined the shot. I right click on the animation timeline, went to properties and found "when finished" and i clicked on "Keep State" and that worked for me.
I my timeline has segments that i didn't want to be rendered ( i let a 8 second go by so the next camera would start as the troopers were closer to the ship. I couldn't figure out how to correctly delete the unwanted timeline segment in sequencer, but i can just delete those png\exr after rendering , for now.
I do love your style of teaching. Others tell you how something works the first time, then quickly move on and just start clicking things quickly. You remind us of what things do a few times, to refresh our memory get us to remember through repetition. THAT is how you teach. Not just one verbal explanation and move on and you have to keep up or fail.
Thanks guys. You have My SUB and i don't sub many channels.
Well done, well done for me and Big Thanks and respect for you guys! Now it's more understated how it should be moving! See you at the Oscar ceremony ))))
Thank you so much this meant so much to me u am using ue5 to make a film.
Finish ... yay ! My adventure will now begin, thankyou 🙇 (+1 sub)
Thank you for wander full beginning tutorial
😅😅😅😅🤣🤣🤣🤣 you napping just made my day .. shout out to the beautiful people Farhad and Faraz 😂🥰🥰🖖
It's the final -countdown- tutorial! Let's goooo
Let's gooo brooo.. Render that cinematic and share it with us
@@badxstudio Published my first render on my other channel @MuhlisGursoy. Thanks guys for the badass tutorial, really appreciate it!
Thanks!
Good things to learn.. can you teach the multiple level sequence shorts into single video output
