I just had this done on my hair. Doing it like this has saved my scalp. I dont think I'll be able to go back to how box braids are normally put in.. This is literally the first time I didnt have a headache from the braids.. I can actually sleep at night from doing it this way..Life saver for real.
Thank you for this video @Beautycanbraid I knew if anybody can crochet braid without rubber bands, it was you. You should come to New Orleans for Essence fest and do a pop up. You are well-known and there will be hundreds of people wanting their hair done(some celebrities too).
You Are ALWAYS taking hair Braiding/Twisting/Crocheting to the Next Level👀👀💯💯 And your work Never falls short of Masterful Perfection. Thank you for Every Video and can't wait to see whats next.
I thought my phone was malfunctioning when I heard that crunching noise 🤦😂. I will definitely try this technique; I've been using the rubber band method
You are so right! When I saw it in a video I immediately went to Walmart and bought one. I use it every single time I do braids. The best 3.99 I've ever spent.
I’ve tried single crochet braids and I didn’t manage to hide my braids inside of the box braids. I will try this method. Thanks you so much for that! ❤️
Song: Jasper Sawyer- cherrios Your welcome. I was the only nice one in the comments section below to actually look for the song LOL took a long time but I found it!!😊😊😊😊
Omg! Before trying this method, my braids would last 1 week, 2 weeks at the most, because I couldn’t grip the roots tight enough. Now that I do this method, I can grip my hair as tight as a I want it. Now my braids look great and last waaayyyyyy longer. Thank you so much!
OMG!! This was like a momma-slap on the back of the head! I FINALLY GOT IT!! Thank you so much for all of your techniques and tutorials, especially this one. I m ready to do some hur right now gurl!!
I crochet the hair in the braid and twist immediately. I do that instead of braiding it. However i make that crochet knot at the root. I do this instead of the rubberband method.
I love this method rubber band braid then loop ing a piece of hair gripping with the other piece. then braiding then twisting down with a little feed-in then close it with braiding again.
Lol- Beauty! I felt like I was gonna get in trouble watching this--- ~Being that I do NOT strugggle!!!! *Thanks to you and fabulous other youtuber's videos!!!!💖I'm a natural at griping roots etc/ protective style pro! Hope you doing well honey thx for sharing another great video- crunching and all!😘
Makes since for those who cant grip.. lol I said that's alot of work for some twist. I didnt read the title just saw your video and clicked per usual. Anywho very pretty
I honestly had a moment when I thought something weird was happening and I could hear myself crunch, since I’m currently eating Frosted Flakes . Glad to know my phone wasn’t tapped .
Love this method! Tried it on my daughter recently for braids because I felt it would be less tension on her edges. However some ended up sliding from the roots. I slid them back but any tips on keeping that from happening? Thanks
What do you mean sliding from the roots? Like the weave is sliding down from her hair bc it's too loose? Maybe the plait from ur daughters hair isnt starting out tight enough? Like the braids are slipping Out? I'm currently doing box braids using this method, I have thick natural 4c hair and so far the box braids are tight at the root, but not too tight. No slippage at all. The only differences I did, was I plaited my hair maybe 1-2 inches down, then I twisted the loose end, instead of leaving it loose like beautycanbraid did. I find it easier to "tuck" my natural hair in between the weave that way, instead of leaving the end lose, bc my natural hair would peak out more the other way in the braid, and get frizzy. & when I crochet the piece of hair underneath my plait, I don't crochet side to side like beauty,, I stick the crochet in a downward ⬇ direction, attach the hair, and pull it up ⬆ through the plait. So the piece of weave kind of like sandwiches my plait. My plait in the middle and the weave on top and under it. If that makes any sense lol. Then I plait it with the remaining hair, placing that on top, and I underbraid. And the knot still looks normal and it's extremely secure.
does she have a finer hair texture? i see that alot with that. instead of just using one section of her own hair when braiding with weave try speading her own hair into all 3 legs of the weave and snug braids, not tight should help with your issue
Your hair is definitely beautiful and the stylish knows what she's doing she been doing long hair extensions for a long time and does an excellent job my one thing is the hair that she gets easy braids could you share where you buy that at thank you
I don't understand what she's doing with the strand not threaded through the hair. There are five chunks of hair that turn into three somehow (her hand covers it) and somehow wrapped around? Someone please explain
Your techniques are brilliant and your parting is always 💯. Can you suggest a method for me I want to do my own braids and I’m considering the the rubber band method for box braids. I have natural 4c hair not really a fan of rubber bands but I think it will be easy for someone who doesn’t braid.
So pretty! 😊💕😊💕👏🏾Those are the braids my twelve year old daughter keeps bothering for but she's tender headed and doesn't like the lady i take her to😟😕, wish I was in your neck of your woods.
It doesnt matter what hair type u have. Beauty can get it done so professionally n beautifully without pulling n tugging your edges out. Love it!
Exactly
This is a interesting song he tearing them cereal up....🤣🤣😂😂
😂😂😂😂
When i say that spectra pre-stretched is the best braiding hair? Omg. I love it. Its so soft/natural feeling and saves hella time.
This is a two in one because you course use this method for box braids as well
I just had this done on my hair. Doing it like this has saved my scalp. I dont think I'll be able to go back to how box braids are normally put in.. This is literally the first time I didnt have a headache from the braids.. I can actually sleep at night from doing it this way..Life saver for real.
How long did it last?

Monique Williams thank you
She right, though.
How many of y’all thought she was the one eating in the beginning? 😆
Precious Cargo I thought it was an ad playing. Had me close everything out 😂😂😂😂
Me i thought she was eating chips lmao
I'm still not convinced that she wasn't eating. Lol
That sound was soo irritating that I almost disliked the video. Smh. Amazing talent and skill though.
I was like who is doing some asmr?! Eating cereal and everything!
You Are ALWAYS taking hair Braiding/Twisting/Crocheting to the Next Level👀👀💯💯 And your work Never falls short of Masterful Perfection. Thank you for Every Video and can't wait to see whats next.
This looks so good! Will definitely try because I struggle with gripping.
I thought my phone was malfunctioning when I heard that crunching noise 🤦😂.
I will definitely try this technique; I've been using the rubber band method
Lol i did too!😁
So did I! I restarted 3x 🤣🤣
The style looks great, as always 🥰
Was the rubber band method useful to you? Did the rubber band take some of your hair out when u were taking them out?
I’m so excited you introduced this method I have always struggled with gripping now I’m finally about to do my own box braids 😁😁😁😁😁
Love it I tried it and I will never have to pay someone again for kinky twists nor box braids and this is healthier for my hair no breakage ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Are they still secure at the roots? Just wondering because we see them being done, but we don't see them after about two weeks to a month..

I was thinking of how to achieve it without braiding. Thanks for that!
@@StephTheOriginal you don't have to braid it. You can still crochet it in and tie the knot and still twist.

I don't know why,if I twist I always get a rough finish I have to use lighter to burn to make it smoother. In s braided tho
What is the apparatus called that you use to hang your strands of hair on?
darkblackshine it’s a thread rack
