its so hard to find a video where the person doesnt spend the first 5 minutes talking about a whole lot of nothing. you got right too it, wish i could give you a thousand and one likes, on point, cant say enough. thank you agian
Saving young black children that didn’t have the opportunity to learn how to do their own hair ❤️ thank you for being so thorough. The most helpful part (haha) is where you actually show us how to keep the part perfect with edge control. Many people skip over that step and I’m left wondering
This video was perfect. I have a biracial daughter and I just finished up her box braids for the 2nd time ever and this video was exactly what I needed to make them look good. I mean I'm no professional, but she's getting compliments everywhere she goes! So much appreciation! Thank you
Not sure why I wanted to cry when I saw the diagrams but it’s probably because I FINALLY found something so perfectly laid out 😊. As a kid who didn’t learn how to part or do my hair properly from anyone but myself this was SO HELPFUL. I’m glad I found this video bc it makes everything feel more structured and calm to do 😁👍.
Bless your heart!!! No one taught me ither. My ppl passed b4 I was old enough to do my own and those that were over my just let me get it from the mud. I went by what I saw others do. Edited: and what I could remember my mom and grandma and aunts talk about.
As someone who has been horrible at parting hair but was tasked with the challenge of doing my mom's hair....this video helped a bunch. Especially the part about adding the shine n jam and then going through the part again. Watched the video a few minutes before I got started and her hair turned out beautiful. I was amazed myself lol
Thank you so much for this. I learned (like a lot of us!) how to braid during the ‘rona 😷. Since I’m immunocompromised I still can’t go to the salon. I used your quadrant technique and SIS. 😍😍😍😍😍 *cue swivel and hair flip* my braids look so so good! Thank you. The internet can be really mean and draining BUT I love how it connects black girls all over the world. It’s like we have big and little sisters teaching and caring for each other out here. Like a big, gentle Diaspora Hug. I think it makes the ancestors proud. So thank you for sharing your wisdom with me. 🥰🥰🥰
You are a true perfectionist. This is the most thorough and systematic approach to parting and braiding. And it is very necessary to have this type of breakdown. You did an outstanding tutorial.
One of the best tutorials I’ve seen on UA-cam in general. Very detailed. BEST PART: SHE SHOWED EVERYTHING !! So many videos skip over “small” steps taken to perfect the part/look. Thanks girly !!!
Great video! This was very well explained! A little tip I use when parting, I mix Jam, Murrays and black castor oil together.. Works great with kinky, dry or short hair for extra shine and growth!
Whew, Chile!!! You cracked the code with this one. Thank you so much for your detailed technique. It literally simplified the whole parting process for me. God Bless You.🙌
Man this was so detailed. I was going off another youtuber's tutorial, but I love yours even more so. This will be my go to. That will cut so much time for me. Love to see a step by step for your feed in method, and separating the hair. Thanks so much for sharing. If you already have a video, please share in a comment, but I will be looking through.
first of all this video is SO DETAILED I went ahead and subscribed to her channel..... the pictures definitely helped me i took pictures of them to have when I do hair... I needed a technique to stick to and this is it. I do my hair or family's hair from time to time but I'm taking it more serious now because the prices yall charge when I can do it myself is getting crazy ash .. She def is a good teacher when it comes to these tutorials.
Not only is this tutorial *MAD* helpful, youtuber’s voices: pitch, tone, cadence all that is a big turn on or turn off for me when it comes to subscribing and watching more of their content. Needless to say you’re wonderful girl and I appreciate this thorough tutorial bc parting really ain’t as easy as it looks.
i’m so happy that i’m not the only one that spends MOST of my time parting 🤦🏾♀️ i take so long to part bc i try to get every single strand of hair and pay attention to the detail! i try to do it faster but i can’t lol i have to try to have those parts perfectly! i love this video💛💛
That's my niece when she does my hair, but she only charges her auntie $40 so I don't say anything. She can take all damn day for $40. 😄 I know her clients that don't get a big ass discount be tired of her though. 😄

don’t say colored, a lot of black people find that term offensive. you can just say black woman/ man/ people/ etc :)
that’s nice of you! i’m sure she appreciates you. next time tho say ‘black’ instead of ‘colored’ as it’s seen as offensive
You're 20 years old and insist on calling Black people colored? I feel sorry for your mixed niece.
If you want to use the word colour saying 'woman of colour ' sits better with us, but you're better off just saying black
