@@s1r3n1971 You can just put some leave in conditionder in her hair to style it in cute styles :) Just youtube it and I also like to use "Mixed Chicks" hair products on my hair, I use their leave-in conditioner. You activate it with water and it leaves your hair hydrated, bouncy cute curls all day, it just takes a little to dry so don't put to much water. There are tons of videos, so have fun exploring :) Just make sure to be positive about your daughters hair so she doesn't develop any insecurities!

I've been watching this video religiously for months now preparing to try to do these braids on my daughter's hair for school. $500 bucks is out of the question. I was determined to learn and this was the BEST video so far, by far. I still have a ways to go to but everyone says I did great even with my arthritis. I've tried other techniques before and my grip is so weak that the braids were frizzy in two days. Thank you for this

When learning box or knotless braids, put the weave hair in a "U shape" under or over (your preference) your hair that you're getting ready to braid, it'll be much easier. Then start braiding your own hair regular, then take the weave and add/group it with your hair, continue braiding down.

Awesome. I wish I thought about doing this tutorial. I started wearing knotless braids in 2000/2001 in Washington DC when absolutely no one was wearing them. Everywhere I went, people would stop me and compliment me bc it was something they’ve never seen before. I couldn’t do the conventional braids after many failed attempts and started doing it this way. My sister’s best friend used to watch me and eventually started braiding her own hair and others like that as well as my sister. Now 20 years later, it’s a thing. That’s pretty amazing that this style is being embraced like this. ❤

When i was young we had braids and they weren't super tight and you didn't lose your edges. Then out of know where they started braiding so tight you'd have headaches and they where braiding tiny pieces of hair and the whole braid would fall off from the scalp 😨 Its so many women walking around with no edges so maybe this braid will help save edges and not rip your hair out. This braid is a very old braid and was used when i was in my 20-30's im now 57. Thank you for this video these young people need help .

squirl2011 yep you're right. I have long thick natural hair but in the early 90s...African braid shops braided my hair so tight (micros), Braids near my edges would snap off at the root. I didn't learn my lesson and periodically would return. Those hair Follicles never recovered.
