You activate it with water and it leaves your hair hydrated, bouncy cute curls all day, it just takes a little to dry so don't put to much water. Awesome. I wish I thought about doing this tutorial. I started wearing knotless braids in 2000/2001 in Washington DC when absolutely no one was wearing them. Everywhere I went, people would stop me and compliment me bc it was something they’ve never seen before. I couldn’t do the conventional braids after many failed attempts and started doing it this way. My sister’s best friend used to watch me and eventually started braiding her own hair and others like that as well as my sister. Now 20 years later, it’s a thing. That’s pretty amazing that this style is being embraced like this. ❤

When learning box or knotless braids, put the weave hair in a "U shape" under or over (your preference) your hair that you're getting ready to braid, it'll be much easier. Then start braiding your own hair regular, then take the weave and add/group it with your hair, continue braiding down.

I absolutely love this video. Your work is amazing and was very helpful in my understanding of the difference between knotless and traditional box braids. But, I do box braids quite often and all of my clients can touch their hair, play in it, and put it up in a ponytail when they are done. I posted two videos on my page to show that this is possible. Box braids can be secure and look good without snatching your soul through your scalp 😂I think box braids are done with so much tension because we were taught that tight is right and that it has to be tight as all get out in order to be neat and last and that is not true. It is literally the braiders' style of braiding that decides that. Most of my clients were small children for the longest and maybe that is why I learned to do box braids without snatching souls, lol.

Hopefully, this works on my thick, full 4C hair (deep down, I know it will). AND it was so satisfying to watch (the music just topped everything off so perfectly). Love coming across such videos.
