nope. all a 20MOA base gives you is more adjustment for your scope. the relationship between your Line Of Sight and trajectory are still the same - nothing has changed that! so all your data is the same, you just have the ability to adjust your scope more for further shots. :)
It would be awesome to hear some bullet performance reviews given all the animals you've harvested. Bullet types, impact velocities, performance, etc. Thanks for all the great content!
I wouldnt be surprised if hornady would partner with someone to make a version thay connects with 4dof... Atleast i think they would be foolish not too
I personally think all these range type manufacturing designs is missing the the point. Be it in the scope or mounted. The bulk of shooters using range finders is not Military Type Shooters. I had a Bushnell Yardage Pro that was the prefect solution to my mind. It gives you the range in either m/y in the optic and that is it. No Angle no DOPE info only the range, as this is the biggest issue while hunting. All shooters sort of know all the adjustments to be made once you have the range. Be it elevation or wind corrections. Only issues for me (Bushnell) is the fact that it is SFP and not FFP and the opening is only 40mm with a 25 mm tube. Add the ability to only get the range to a Strike Eagle or similar optic I will not hesitate even a bit to buy it. Maybe it is only me feeling this way.🤷♂
same. i'd be MORE prone to get it if it *JUST* gave the distance. i don't need - or WANT - any of the other data... i just want the unit to be cheaper!
This or a pair of sig 10k binos with abs … I’m torn … I guess they will both give you the same data - they both have the tech inside to read temps range etc … I dislike the fact you have to dial to zero after every shot with this….
Now we wait for Garmin to make a slimmer, lighter version that syncs with the Xero Chrono to give you even more precise data!
Or make one that is both a range finder and chronograph that is the same size as the impact 4000
And connect with via BT with steiner IFS, Revic PMR, or DS Gen II 😊.
How do you like geoballistics software vs applied ballistics? Which would you prefer?
I thought he had been using 4DOF prior to this?
@cadetbooth I assumed he might be using applied ballistics. Completely forgot about 4dof as an option.
He mostly uses strelok pro
Would love to see a video that explores pros and cons to workflow on ukd targets between a wmlrf vs a set of rf binos
Hi pieter. Any views on the burris eliminator? Thanks man.
is a heavy barrel the way to go when going hunting like you do shooting multiple baboons?
I think vortex is on way to make first fully functional fire control system,
TrackingPoint’s Precision-Guided Firearms system was pretty much that.
So wait to buy one until it’s smaller, cheaper , better. Got it. 😅
Sure, but the problem with that is then you would never buy anything because it will always be the case. So a bit of a catch 22 😅
Nice Daytona
If you have a 20MOA base I think this would screw the data dope...

Is this the end of the kestrel balistics meter??
Not yet, possibly in the future, the Kestrel with AB still has the edge in weather data and the ballistic engine.

Great video Pete as always.

Use your holds and that goes away 100%, holding is faster as well!
