You don’t have to forget, you need to forgive. It is hard to do when you are young. When you get tired of hatred, you will see your mistakes and learn to love
JLP, I needed that. I disliked my father. He was over baring, jealous, of what I did, if it was better than he could do, he I believe intentionally screwed up things so I would fail. When asked for fatherly advice, he would give none, but be the first to talk trash about it when you screwed up. I believe I the one I am mad at is myself. I forgive both of us. It is a good time to let go of it.

Jesse, you really made sense to that young man and showed him a different way to accept God in his heart as a spiritual being. I think you turned him around. I agree with Jesse on some things but he admits that he doesn't read the Bible daily. He says the word is written on our hearts. But it's the Law that is written on our hearts. That's how a non Christian knows its wrong to steal or kill. Doesn't mean that the whole Bible is hidden I'm your heart. You got to study it to apply it. I don't agree with the silent prayer either. Like yeah God knows everything. Doesn't mean I get to be lazy and just sit there and let God scan my thoughts in silence lol that sounds lazy to me. Read Psalms and see how David talked to God. David was never talking about " Ohhh if only I forgave my mother and my father ".... and when David took his best soldier's wife. David went to God for forgiveness. He didn't blame the woman he knew he was wrong.

Jesse does wonderful things for lost young men and he's very wise to what anger can do to people BUT...I would not take religious advice from the man. Jesus Christ is Lord. Jesse never caught on to the fact that Jesus was God in the flesh. I think the silent prayer is great. I think there's much utility in forgiving your parents and spiritually freeing yourself. Unfortunately, none of that will save you. It has nothing to do with salvation. I know the hardcore JLP fans don't want to hear it but only Jesus Christ can save us.
I know it's hard to accept Jesus was God's son , he wasn't God in the flesh. Jesus is God's only begotten son , not God in the flesh.

Jesse is so wrong... Salvation comes by repentance, being baptized, and walking in faith... looking to our Saviour Yeshua as an example on how to walk on this earth... Salvation comes via submission and excepting that Christ died on the cross for your sins... when you are baptised you are born again in God, The Father excepts you has his child.. If you take your eyes of God and fall into sin, the moment you fall to your knees and repent, God forgives you for you are his child, for Christ was crucified and his blood was shed for our sins... this is how salvation comes...
