It's Indian achar, for a long time growing up I thought it was a pickle but pickle is a vegetable 4 India and USA
For example it’s mango achar , lime achar etc
It was Priya pickle, a brand of achaar that is popular in South India, so I can say for sure that it is authentic pickle. Like you I was surprised her mouth wasn't on fire and stuff too!

you can't blame them. for them seasoning is pepper and salt ( I never understood it personally like how tf is that seasoning)
Those are flavourings. Seasonings is salt and pepper
@@nikitagogoibaruah4744 ... this was a cultural comment. And no " include herbs and spices, which are themselves frequently referred to as "" She added seasoning. Example: Mexican seasoning can include: paprika, cayenne pepper, chilli powder etc. I get what you're saying in that when traditional recipes (formal cooking whatever) say 'season your food' they mean salt and pepper, but culturally this means herbs and spices to others. Those are all seasonings...
@@AndSoWeLaughed no i get that. I am from India. In my home too we call all of these as seasonings. I was just talking from purely technical POV. Seasonings are those which enhances the flavours without altering the dish. Flavourings changes the taste. So yeahh..... that was my point.
