Thanks for the detailed overview, helps me towards the list of final options. But… I’m still stuck with HUD or no HUD… sleek dashboard vs keeping eyes on the windscreen.. Will check in person both and hope to make a convincing call :)
By far the best video I've seen on the Taycan. Can you do a 2025 model summary, as I believe many of the optional extras will be standard on that model? Or is this that model?
For 2 speed gearbox - you can put the car in sport, and suspension in "normal" and it only goes in 2nd gear after 90 km/h. Consumption goes up, the difference around town at low speed is massive though.
I drive the pre facelift Taycan-Turbo. Happy that I got that: I dont like the new look (I have the sportsdesign package with aero carbon blades). I dont really need the additional range. I love to use the 22kw charge option when inner city at destionations, not available in the facelift, only slow 11kw. The facelift forces you to take the sport chrono package (of which I hate the look), if you want the inno-drive-option (that I love, a must have). So for me the new facelift is not an option.
Nice video. I hope you haven’t had a change of thought on your VW I.D. 3 “series.” I’ve been waiting for a follow-on re same and was a little surprised to instead see this video. In any case, thanks for another informative video. All the Best, Art. Oceanside, CA. ⚡️🔋🚙
Don’t worry. We were just moving office so my attention was focused on that. (This Porsche video was meant to go out ages ago.) More ID.3 content already filmed. 😎
Martin, I think you have blown your chances if you have ever had aspirations to be a Porsche Sales Executive by only adding £20k of options. Fiendishly complicated to get the right balance between desirability, cost and the right spec to be able to sell on when the time comes. I just wonder how many buyers get tripped up.
Very detailed and you speak very eloquently and to the point. Great work mate.

Nice video. Love your level of detail. If you did something similar for the ID3 I think that would be awesome.
Will probably do a full buyers guide for the ID.3 now that I have plenty of experience with it.

No problem with laminated front windscreen and tollroad chips and so on. Just place them in the blackdotted area.
