With regard depreciation, most people don’t buy Porsche’s worrying about depreciation, if so, then you obviously can’t afford it! I bought my Taycan knowing it’ll definitely depreciate substantially but, I didn’t care because I thought owning a Porsche Taycan with it’s good looks, horse power, road presence, quality, coupled with my love for high-end powerful cars was enough to say “sod the depreciation, we only live once!”.

@@brandonfromlondonuk3484 brandon from London-the troll-obviously has a screw loose in the head somewhere. You my son not only need a lesson in manners, you also need a lesson on the proper way to write “you’re”; it’s not “your”, dummy! I at least have the pleasure of experiencing depreciation on a Taycan turbo s, a car that you probably have a poster up on the wall of your bedroom in your parent’s house.

This, I'm not worried about the depreciation, but it's almost a shame for the car. It's such a good car, it really is, but just plagued by issues that hold it back - and if even the makers of this thing get burned, what does that mean for the future?
I hear they're already trying to reverse engineer ICE into some of these platforms!

Thanks for sharing, I received a similar notice back in November in the U.S. from Audi for my RS e-tron GT. They also confirmed in their letter that real time Audi’s battery monitoring is active and accessible on my vehicle, and my battery is currently issue free. I’m glad both J1 Platform manufacturers have taken this step towards greater transparency.

I've only just got my Turbo S and honestly, I'm already feeling dejected as there just seems to be constant negativity towards this car from EV haters of which there are plenty, to UA-cam channels that just seem to bash the car. There's also a tonne of misinformation, all it does is cause owners to regret, put people off and cause the cars to depreciate even further. I think people genuinely are getting off at seeing this car and Porsche fail or perceive to fail. I have NOT had a recall letter yet, but it's already making me concerned about charging my car, to what % I charge and where it's parked when it's charging. I should be excited, not worried. Thankyou at least for putting a positive spin on this.

But in city driving I can only get 28kwh. I’ve seen some people making 17kwh (same year, same car). I live in Porto (Portugal) and I cannot reach Lisbon that’s 360km from where I live. @ That maybe correct, but from my experience previously owning a 911 and cayenne for a number of years, both were very reliable, not needing anything apart from servicing and fuel. As I write this comment I have two Porsche main dealer visits booked, one for tomorrow and the other for 20/01/2025. A high voltage modem replacement (at a cost of 9k if out of warranty), and repair or replace damaged leather interior components (damaged by silly Porsche technicians on previous visit-last month). Look, the vehicle is amazing and I love it, but there has been more issues than I expected and certainly more issues Porsche would have liked. Keep in mind we are driving the first generation and even with other vehicles, the first couple of years can be problematic. I know that my dream car has been a 911 and second to that was an M3/M4. And my 2022 BMW M4 competition was EVERYTHING BUT the Taycan is better. Better in every single way. The Taycan is special and I wouldn’t trade it for another car. It does exactly what I need it to do as a daily driver. I had squeaky brakes and Porsche replaced the brakes earlier this year! Yes, they replaced the brakes!! My car still has 3 outstanding recalls to complete. Otherwise, knock on wood, the car hasn’t left me on the road 🤞🏾

Online data service ist the right way to check out what causes the issue and when!
I think it's a good thing from Porsche to do so, you get a message if you have an issue and then you only have to charge up to 80% and use the car until it's going to the service! 👍 👍 👍 👍 👍
    So have a good time and a very happy new year! 👍 👍 👍 👍 👍 👍 👍

Thanks Joe! Happy new year to you too 🥳🎉
Yes, what I hope is Porsche at least install this software on all Gen 1 Taycans, as that data is going to be very important to help them keep abreast and plan for any potential replacements / failures which might occur.
      Have a good one! 👍🏻👍🏻

Put a proper engine in it. EVs will not last.

Incidentally, Porsche are already looking at how to ICE some of these platforms.
