Noise: it is also affected by the glas roof, wirhout glas roof and additional cloth(race tex) coverage of the interior noise is additionally damped. You can also have special double layed windows, reducing the noise additionally. I chose all these measures because a silent trim was important to me.
Hi, great video! You got a very low consumption (1,5 kW/mil), and I wonder how much that is due to Range mode, and what you would have gotten with more inspired driving? Myself I average at 2,7 kW/mil (a GTS Sport Turismo; I drive it rather sporty, often in Sport Plus mode, but still well-adjusted to public roads of course, i.e. no track-like driving), which I think is a bit high. It would be interesting to see what the new Turbo (in anticipation of a coming new GTS) consumes in Sport Plus mode...
I guess range mode helps out a lot. But it's probably more the style of driving. But I must say that overall during my driving for a whole week I averaged 2.0 and that's with more inspiring driving mostly in sport mode.
Charging: DC charging is indeed impressive. But very disappointing is you can now only charge AC with 11kw, before with pre-facelift you had the option of 22kw. In europe you have 22kw charger everywhere, so going for diner etc... and you have with 22kw quite some charging done.
Glad to hear that you are still watching! Even if you have an EV and happen to pick one of the best ones I still think you should watch. 😂😂 It's good to now what's happening. The Porsche is a great car, also in love with it's looks. I'm looking forward to test the Macan in november.
@@ItsOnlyElectricwe have a Macan in the family, but it’s one with an ICE. So when you test it I’ll show it to them. Maybe they will change their mind on gasoline cars 😂
Hello (again) As always you go from clarity to clarity in your tests. They have together with another famous youtuber become the bechmark of everything i search for! And as always i should never switch car, one year with i4 M50 has passed and i absolutly love the car! (my drivinglicence not so much right now) :). But! I have become a Taycan fan! Love everything i see with it. There are 2 things that making me consider change. 1: Its a Porsche :) 2: Backseat. i4 is ok in leg room but not headroom. Because of this im thinking of a Sports Turismo. But now you ruined it a bit for me! Maximum is 1.2-1.4 and i have thought about 2023 or 2024 low milage GTS or Turbo/Turbo S versions but because of the updates im starting to think about 2025 RWD instead, Then i can order a new one. Any thoughts form you in that question would be appriciated :) And again! Thanks for a top notche channel!
Thanks for your kind words! I'm glad you appreciate my reviews. 🙏 The M50 is great, but ad you say bad for the licence. The Taycan will be worse for it though. 😅 Is the back seat that much better in the Taycan, have you tried it? Treated the Sport Turismo last week, that one has better headroom. You will save a lot by going for a second hand Taycan even if the new one has a lot of news. You pirsbsbly lose less value going for a 2023.
The previous Taycan was unreliable, with numerous recalls. So let's hope this new (and frighteningly expensive) Taycan can prove to be reliable and hold its value for longer.
Myself I actually prefer the older J1 look with the slightly more upright and "indented" glass, which I think looks more special and exclusive than the new more "flush" glass design :-).
There are loads of reported issues with the Taycan especially battery packs failing. Why not do a range test at 30 mph (50 kmph), (60 mph (97 kmph) and one at 70 mph (110 kmph) or 120 kmph ?
But what would the range be if I am driving from Amsterdam to Berlin and want to do that as fast as possible? I drive my car at least once a year to Portugal and it takes me two days, but I have to drive the max + speed on the motorways to do that in under 20 hours. How is the range there? That is the point when it comes to range. Driving 50 to 100 km/h on some daily commute where I can plug it in everyday is not really important.
In Europe range is not that important. Ionity is everywhere. Put you end destination in the satnav and rip it. Those charging stops (15min) will be basically the bio breaks. I have the 2022 model and trust me, even that one is super fast to charge.
What you need to know is that after 1 year your 100 000 $ Taycan will be worth 50 000$ And the next year it will be 30 000$ and it will continue to lose value like crazy
@@ItsOnlyElectric 🥲 I driven the ev6 and its noisy… so a premium brand like Porsche should nok be like that 😳 How do you Think of the noise ? You also Think its noisy ? Seems like the rest of the car is very good ❤️
@Juuythljgrrdwq it's not that noisy but noisy for being s Porsche. Guess it's the wide rear tyres. But it's not at all disturbing. You can opt out for panoroof and add acoustic glass
Thanks 😊 great test
Dream EV 🤩 Thanks for the in depth review, as always (Liked the words in German at the end 😀)
Haha!! Did it sound authentic? I have studied German for six years and worked with many Germans. But not practicing it so often.. 😅

Yes, I get it. With some extra equipment it gets more silent. But still a bit noisy compared to other cars with single paned windows and glass roof.
Another nice video. Thanks for confirming 150KW on 400v chargers. My 2020 has gotten as high as 185. I think I'm waiting for solid state batteries.

Considering an optioned up RWD one so nice timing and review.
Cool!
Solid review. Do you consider to buy one?
Thanks. No, not at the moment.
Masterfully done, nothing to worry about! It still has two gears, the Germans can't do without mechanics haha🙂
It's important with gears! 😂
The previous Taycan was unreliable, with numerous recalls. So let's hope this new (and frighteningly expensive) Taycan can prove to be reliable and hold its value for longer.
Crossing my fingers
I think the headlights look much better now.
Agree!
Myself I actually prefer the older J1 look with the slightly more upright and "indented" glass, which I think looks more special and exclusive than the new more "flush" glass design :-).
The old look is more unique and bold I agree on that. New look more inline with the current porsche lineup.

Thanks! Because it's too static. No one drives in a constant speed for that long. .

2022 Cross Turismo 4s, Amsterdam Berlin, not breaking the law, 6h and 45min, including total of 30min of pit stops.
@@voksic81 That's pretty good
Impressive
I'm jeulous! I've got the 2021 RWD with thw 21"wheels and bp+, the best I can is 22,5kw/100km...
That's a big difference!
what about the speed? we allways need an average speed to compare a consumption
Stated and mentioned in the video. average speed 93km/h
good and detailed review.. but why should i buy it? it's kinda slow too. doesn't inspire me.
Good question. It's mostly a brand and image thing..
You do know this is the base model right? You want faster, just buy the 4S, Turbo, Turbo S or GT!
