As always, DJI knocks it out of the park. I’ve owned the first generation mics and use them on nearly every project. Absolutely love the audio quality out of these things.
So the question is, will you be selling your current ones and buying these?
@@GeelongCableLocations as of now I won’t pick them up. The first gen work really well. I might pick them up if I need the upgrades or need more channels for bigger projects. I think the wheel they added is the one feature I wish the original had.
Something is not right regarding audio quality of Mic 2. I got mine a few days ago and it is not impressive. Will stick with my Rode for now.
32 float makes it all worth it, as of now it’s only in more expensive audio devices. the more that’s incorporated in all devices the more audio will change for everyone
I always looked at dji as a drone company but now there expanding their market by adding different products which is actually really good

Definitely a nice ad, but how about addressing the shortfalls.
1. the very low record volume when using standalone internal recording.
2. the transmission dropping out even when a single person gets between receiver and mic.
Please, time for a huge firmware update.

So this can sync up with either a dslr *or* an android phone?
Does the independent mic sync as well, or only in post?

Anyone using a transmitter stand alone for example as portable 32bit float recorder, should be aware you cannot change any of the settings on it, and that it is stuck in 24bit mode. Low cut filter, is also disabled, and the gain cannot be changed. In order to change any of these you need a receiver, Osmo or Action 4.

Hello 👋🏾. What I didn’t see in this video. Does these mics timestamp the recordings date and time? Also. When you download the audio from the mic to your desktop, will that date and timestamp travel with the transfer from the microphone to the desktop? I have this issue with the Rode Wireless Go ll microphone system. It will timestamp on the device. But when I go to transfer the recordings days later, the new timestamp is the day that I downloaded to the desktop.

32bit float. It almost reaches the standard of hifi. In a portable form, hifi-level sampling is incredible.

Mute the transmitter from the transmitter itself other than the reciever correct ? I have been trying to figure out a way to
Mute it from the transmitter itself but not able to do so.
In order to make the Mic 2 fully compatible with the Pocket 3, you need this system so that you can connect the receiver to the Pocket 3 USB-C port instead of using the direct connection. That connection collapses the internal mics on the optional wave file to mono, so you can't record stereo ambience to mix with your voice from the Mic 2. But it's an expensive fix for a problem which should never have been there in the first place.
That's it I'm selling my gopro and converting straight to dji man. This is gonna make motovlogging so much easier

Love that there is atleast DJI to push the market technology forward with all their products, i just wish they would remove the giant dji billboard theyve placed on the mics which restricts it to non-commercial use as no serious entertainer is going to just walk around with a giant dji logo in every video. Another wish list is that they reduce the size of the mics further in version 3 as they are still too big for me to wear them without what im assuming is a lav mic solution which is a headache too. I'm continually surprised how few advances have been made in tech for youtubers seeing as its such a giant economy with such a giant demand for tech that still istn available on the market.
Come on DJI.. Bring it!!!
