There are quite some genius parts to this piece. First, Ludwig explained how the intro is simply a riff he did while playing with the recorder, so simple - yet so effective, mysterious and emotional. Gives a feeling of some ancient, desert-ish mythical environment sound. The flutes on 1:00 are a clear homage to John Williams' style, as in Rey's Theme for example. Those come back again at 2:54. The chord that is held at 1:27 is genius as well, it keeps you grounded as if you feel something is coming (and it is - the fanfare). 1:37 is where the fanfare begins, another great homage to Williams' style, the arpeggios of the strings back there is simply amazing. The chord at 1:52 is simply amazing, some sudden F# on this Am/Dm scale. Fanfare that starts at 2:18 is soooo good. The tuba and trombone bass. Simply amazing theme, Thank you Ludwig Göransson!
this piece is called "the baby", its not the Mandalorian theme,it turns into the Mandalorian theme at the end but its not the official Mandalorian theme
@@user-cm7nz4fw5k Yes it is. Ypu can tell he had inspiration from Bill Conti's scores when writing the Mando theme song. I love its retro 1970s and early 80s TV show feel.
They may, LOL. 😂 Though, I hope it's not when somebody dies in the show again. First heard when Kuuill was offed, then when Din and Grogu left Nevarro at the end of Chapter 8 (before Gideon opened the downed TIE can with the Darksaber), and when Paz Vizsla was cut down.
I love how these musicians are all dressed up and Ludwig just walked right out of the 70's to direct the orchestra lmao!
Haha 😂
by far the most amazing orchestral piece my ears have been blessed with. a work of art.❤️
same!! After listening to this theme, my ears wont let me listen to anything else.
so have been listening to this for about 3 hours now.
The part at 2:44 always gives me goosebumps. It's played in lots of tracks among the soundtrack and I love it
For me its 2:34 :)
For me it's 2:17 I actually have it as a ringtone.
This sounds like if John William's did an arrangement of this. Except John would probably sneak in the Force theme somewhere. Lol
Nothing beats live orchestra. Purely magical!
The climax after 2:14 is why I always stay around during the credits!
its sounds like straight star wars man
same here, love it how the music soars 😄
That and the art!
Goosebumps every time ⏲️!👏🏽
THIS IS THE WAY! ♥️

Simply amazing theme, Thank you Ludwig Göransson!
It hits harder when it’s live
THANK YOU FOR THIS MUSIC ! Ludwig Göransson to restore his notes of nobility and a real boost in the 21st century at star wars!
This main theme always gives me goose bumps. Seeing it being performed live so adds to the musical experience. Thanks, you did a great job!
Thats why life is important
De loin la meilleure prestation. Ainsi ai je parlé.
This is John Williams level stuff
This is beautiful. Literally made me cry.
FANTASTIC AND BEAUTIFUL MUSIC, HAPPY DAY 🎶👍🆗
The best version ever: the original one, conducted by the composer himself.
This Is The Way.
RIP PAZ VIZSLA.
HE IS SO YOUNG and BRILLIANT. You don't even know! lol
This intro has took over people lives! Best theme in the Star Wars collection! Yes even better than the Vader theme. Lol
I agree wholeheartedly!
I agree Huey!
Lets not get ahead of ourselves lads

This is a great recording, there's something about the tone of the brass that is a little brighter than the soundtrack.
They added a new melody for the brass during the fanfare, it's SO great!!!
1:34 duuuuude oh god.... that sounds even better than in the album track
100% agree. Must be next level live feeling it all.
Nice new horn voicings dayum
theme went from Mando vs the 5 gangsters in some backwater town in a backwater planet to
Mando is gonna save the New Republic
Is the echo at the start made by other similar instruments or is it natural or artificially made?
It's artificial, a digital (or analog) delay effect. Added to the recorder live though :)
delay pedal
You should all check out Danish Symphony orchestra do this. It's incredible!
The Danish orchestra got a few things wrong in the transcription- too many for my personal taste.
does anyone remember a music video of him playing the music from the mandalorian by himself?? can't find it anymore
Definitely captured that Spaghetti Western tone.

whats the instrument that he plays in the beginning?
Recorder

Well, the guy's name is Ludwig 🤷
He was named after Beethoven… fun fact! His whole family is musical but not like him😳
this songs important one is drum, double kick !😂
fuck yeah!!! bass recorder for the win!!!!
Really upset that they left out the best part. “Ba Duuum!”. This is really not the way 😔
Мне одному музыка этого композитора напоминает музыку из фильмов о Рокки Бальбоа?
Well he did the Creed soundtracks. Not the other Rocky films. Bill Conti did the music for most of the Rocky movies except Rocky 4.
@@SchardtCinematic I know about Bill Conti, it's just a very similar melody
@@user-cm7nz4fw5k Yes it is. Ypu can tell he had inspiration from Bill Conti's scores when writing the Mando theme song. I love its retro 1970s and early 80s TV show feel.
re-do this without the masks and restrictions!

Is just me or it sounds little different than the score? I know here is Lud but this is modified
@Sk Integral s to n It’s a combination of some of the major Season 1 OST.
Needs more drums. :)
Wonderful piece!
I don't get the masks... Magically, the wind instruments don't transmit COVID...(?)
Remember when we made half the mando band wear useless cloth masks? Pepperidge farm remembers.
blame fauci and mainstream media lies
Ludwig look so high all the time. lol
Tough tune but really loses a lot that without that stiff drum beat
0:01, 1:35 and 0:56
Such a shame the show went to shit with terrible season 2.
This is the way.
