Yes, John Williams created an incredible music, almost impossible music, for Star Wars. Rogue One hinted at what Star Wars music without John Williams can sound like, feel like, but it did not stray to far from the original template. With The Mandalorian, for the whole 2 series, Ludwig Goransson truly did the impossible : create a brand new musical signature that is sooo Star Wars, that is so right for the series, and yet that has its own identity and does not just riff of John Williams music.
you should listen the music from Knights of the Old Republic, like the main menu theme, i think this music has inspiration from that game, so it is actually not a "new genre" inside the star wars world.
Ludwig Göransson must be proud. 😭I am on tears how good it is. Well Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni they opened the door to the lost world. The MANDALORIAN completely surpasses the last trilogy in all aspects.
Sequels weren't even that bad. They were gorgeous and still entertaining with great soundtracks. The Mandalorian and The Last Jedi are my I believe to be the best of star wars since Empire

I have no idea why but I get chills every time I watch the drummer towards the end as he switches between the drums. It's such a smooth transition and it sounds fantastic. The whole orchestra is outstanding.
I completely agree. Usually I don't care much that I'm Danish, but whenever I hear The Danish National Orchestra on telly, I'm suddenly very proud of being Danish. Waving the flag and all lol Danish National Treasure, is a more fitting name. They're absolutely bloody brilliant, I'm very glad they weren't cancelled out entirely, a few years back when they were under threat. Fingers crosses they never are.

I know what you mean. First we got the lone bounty hunter, mysterious, etc, slowly becoming a hero by saving the kid (when the theme go upbeat), then finally ending with such an innocent melody that tells us him becoming the kids father. Sorry for my broken English 😊
