"Wear this mask."
"Now cut a hole in it and blow your spit through a musical instrument."
You'll notice they're sitting fairly far apart from each other, and the mask seals when they're not playing. Studies have shown that wind instruments are not significant transmission vectors.
The ass clowns on the left are in charge of the Pentagon they're more worried about masks that are next threat
its a mask for musicians its not a hole cut its a special mask
@@ChanticoChulo You can literally see the holes on more than a dozen occasions in the video.
@@adamliebreich-johnsen6104 "studies"... please cite your sources.
If they're sitting fairly far apart, why is a mask needed? If they're traveling together, does a mask matter? If they're vaccinated, why is a mask necessary?
Stop saying "studies have shown" and back it up with a source.
I can't imagine what the people playing wind instruments must think wearing a mask with a hole cut in it.
I played trombone for a little while, before switching to cello. I think it’s fucking stupid. So much spit gets shot through that damn thing it’s disgusting to begin with.
This is seriously some of the dumbest shit I've ever seen... I'm fully vaccinated and attending baseball games at FULL CAPACITY WITH NO MASKS, and they've got soldiers wearing a mask WHILE PLAYING WIND AND BRASS INSTRUMENTS.
@@Xachremos You do know they're filtering the air in and out of their noses, right? That helps cut down the possibility of infection spread... While I never seen a drop of spit go out of a wind instrument, you seem to be the "expert" here so I won't question that and just say: It's all a game of chance, whatever you cut down helps. This is the best next thing to either not play, or be a full-spreader.
Now, who's more stupid: The people actually doing things while staying safe(r) or the one complaining at the videos he/she watches of the people doing things?

Out of all the composers putting out music for Star Wars productions, this sounds the closest in spirit and musicality to what John Williams did in his tenure as a Star Wars composer.

Something people maybe don't know is the US military bands are very, very serious musical organizations. A guy in knew from college finished his conducting PhD and then conducted for the Air Force band. These are all top musicians.
Yep, very seldom will anyone with just a high school diploma qualify. You'd have to be a prodigy level musician for that to happen. Else, everyone else has a music theory collegiate degree, often graduate degrees, and are hardcore musicians. The entire pathways in the military are different for this.
lmao! Sure they are. When was their last creation? They don't create, they cope. Artists create. The military should stop wasting money on pointless bullshit. Effing Americans.
I was looking for this type of comment. This is top notch and I was wondering myself, "who are they, other than already amazingly part of the army". Thank you for sharing this info. Growing up with polic/military family, play the piano myself, and finally in the tech industry, most in my family thought I am a softy for being part of the latter. This goes to show that the discipline and mindset of being a military family brought me far to be great at other things. Hope my family sees that they too can be good in everything else, and it does not take away their police/military spirit.
Ya my Jazz professors ended up learning how to play from joining the military band on his time

And now in a bizarre twist, Disney sues the Army.
If they don't get profit from this then they can't sue them.
Not actually true. This isn't educational, nor is it for personal use, so it doesn't fall under the fair use clause of the Copyright Act. If you are using copyrighted material for monetary profit, it's just easier for a court to assign a dollar amount to the lawsuit, so lawyers and the courts are more likely to go forward with the suit. Even ignoring the obvious benefit the Army is getting for recruiting, you can sue for violation of copyright even if the violator has derived no benefit from your work. It's why Disney famously sues the absolute pants off of every day care and orphanage and hospital that paints Mickey Mouse on their walls. Even though they're not profiting from the use of the images.
@@SirAngusSteele I see now how different are the USA laws from my country lol..
In order to preserve their trademarks, Disney is very careful of their brand. The first reason being that it implies a partnership or endorsement between Disney and the other party. Because Disney can't actually control how that separate entity does business without owning them, they will typically sue or threaten legal action if their intellectual properties are not removed. Secondly, it is in their best interests to do this because it's how they preserve their trademark. Copyright infringement is not automatically enforced by any entity, and Disney has to continually renew their copyright by objecting to its violation. The statute of limitations has been changed on the public domain use of copyrighted material several times BECAUSE OF Disney and their legal hold over Mickey and friends.
But thirdly, and most importantly, I think you missed the joke.
This is the way (?) :P
This is fitting ..... without the United States of America, the Mandalorian, a cultural art work, would have never existed. 🦅🇺🇲

Imagine being Ludwig Göransson, feeling the pressure of being chosen to compose a soundtrack for several hours of Star Wars, and then seeing the US Army Band playing your composition.
