Thank you Michael for the quick review. Few notes. : On headlights of it's not too cold you can do each layer with 30min gap. About a comment someone wrote here, using clearcoat on plastic surface, this is the worst thing to do since the clearcoat solvents carriers used damage the polycarbonate plastic and eventually it will crack during time.
@@carpro_official thank you for adding some more information. 30 mins would make it the application even quicker. Looking forward to seeing the testing of UV.
Bingo! Carpro nailed it here, speaking from our testing and clients who insist on putting it on their tail and headlights coz thats what they saw on youtube and now experincing micro cracking. smh
One that I use is Majestic Solutions Headlight Lens Clear Coat with high solids and blocks UV and lasts over 3 years which self levels, and Meguiars Headlight Coating also blocks UV for up to a year. Both are in spray formula. The one from Majestic Solutions is less than $30.
Carpro are just such a cool brand. Quietly making amazing stuff without making any noise on social media. DLight is something I'm very interested in. Both of my car are heavily PPF'D and have different Carpro coatings on them. I'm wondering if it'll go on top of Dquartz Go and then top off DLight with skin for thee ultimate in protective and slick layers?
@@79blustone I think that is too many layers of coatings. I would go with either DQ Go or DLight and the option of Skin. DLight is based on the same technology as DQ Go.
@MikeGDetailing I've got Dquartz Go one one car and it's doing perfectly well, although it's got some marring on the wheels I've noticed today when winterising them. I guess the hardness scale in this one does have limitations. Maybe the professional version is better. I'm wondering what the levels of UV protection is like in DLight and DQ Go are?
I think we also need to talk about what PPF it was installed on. A lot of PPF now is already coated, and this may affect the results. I'm not defending C6 because I've seen far longer out of Mohs Evo on PPF, but it is something to note.

@@MikeGDetailing That's concerning... I was planning on possibly installing Hydro Lite on my car later this year... maybe I should look for other options. What's your current favorite coating for longevity? I'm not able to wash my car as often as I'd like, and I'm looking for something that might resist failing prematurely
Give Hydro Lite a go since you already have it. Everyone's situation is different. If you are hesitant to use it then Armour Detail Supply Quartz or Cquartz UK 3.0 are good options.
@@MikeGDetailing I worded my previous comment a little confusingly, haha. I haven't purchased it yet. I've been waiting to see how it performs. I have Cquartz UK 3.0 on my car currently, and after 2 years, the roof, hood, and trunk have completely flat water behavior even after a heavy decon wash. The rest seems to be holding up pretty well. I'm forced to park my car outside, so I was planning on hitting reset to ensure my paint doesn't fade. Thank you for your recommendations! I'll look further into ADS Quartz.

Since the block uv is hard to show instant, we will show soon accelerate test with harsh uv lights to show how it protects from fading

That ShineMate EB210 destroys the Flex PXE. It doesn't stall like the PXE does. Great video MikeG!
Have u had any issues with the EB210 Quick change backing plate falling off when polishing?

Thats a bit of a worry that hydro lite wasn't performing on ppf. Hope Yvan can weigh in on this
Hydro Lite is supposed to be a 6 year coating, and Yvan said it's to be suitable on PPF. So 6 months durability on PPF is pretty alarming.

Hydrolite is a 3 month coating not 6 year@@TheBreakfastLover
@@Drod0064 according to the C6 website, C6 Hydro Lite is a 6-year ceramic coating.
It's about $300, why would a 3 month coating cost $300?
Hydro lite is indeed claimed to be an up to 6 year coating. And this PPF is XPEL.

Is hydro lite degrading in any other areas? Or only on the ppf?
One spot has degraded on the paint.
