As controversial as series 12 is among this show, I do believe it does great work to develop the character of the Doctor and bring more depth to them. The Doctor is truly a lonely being, and this video is intended to showcase that. Enjoy!

Yet at the edges this darkness threatens to destroy everything. Like the doc really took capaldis final words to heart. She tries to save everyone yet struggles to save even a few at times. And you see how each time it hurts her

This emotion, these feelings rhe doctor has carried and delivered in the many regenerations is what im so desperate to see from Jodies doctor. I just want to see her react, cry,anger show me the true self of what the doctor is. I have yet to see her get angry or upset when there's been more than enough reason to be where is the rage of the timelord. After finding out the "truth" and gallantry being destroyed again any of the other doctors would of showed pain and anger .. jodie was so absent of that and it made me feel less for who the doctor has become. The writing has fallen, just as gallifrey has. This video is the redemption to how the season has let me down. Beautiful
It makes sense if you take into account 12s final words. Love hard, never fail to be kind... She shows this joy and love and happiness yet at the edges a dark ess threatens to destroy everything. She tries to save everyone yet often fails to save anyone even herself. And we see how it breaks her each time. The doctor tries to hide it from her friends. Season 12 is where we really see her actions come to the forefront. When she feels like she is going to lose everything is when she really shines. Haunting of villa diodati and the following Cybermen episodes are really haunting and sad when we see how she lost bill and Clara's husband etc. When she says "sometimes this team structure isn't flat, it's mountainous with me at the summit alone. And the side looks to Yaz that just breaks my heart. It's there but it's very subtle which I think is intended the doctor has never shared how they feel.
