    "Because if Clara Oswald is REALLY DEAD. Than you had better be VERY careful in how you tell **ME**."

    "There was once a man who became a legend, evil or good, take what you will but know that stars burn bright because of him, and they have burned by his hands. People would sing of him in honour because of the lives he saved, but he ended even more to stop the fires. Love was earned but denied to him. The faces he wore were his masks, but they would fall and fury would follow, compassion was given but seldom remembered."

      @@nl8989 honestly no, The show is mostly for children now and they've basically ruined it by adding the timeless child like you common that means the doctor has unlimited regeneration energy and we've seen what the doctor can do when he got his second cycle also why would he have not regenerated when he was dying and only was able to when the time Lords sent it to him

      He's my favorite as well. Jodie got screwed, she has the potential to be an amazing doctor. The writers are just so bad it limits what she can do. I would love to see her be the doctor under competent writers, I believe she'd shine

    • @empressofvibes
      @empressofvibes 3 роки тому +5

      @@goldenbtw1397 Well, the idea is that the Doctor, who somehow had a TARDIS in the shape of a police box in those days (honestly one of my biggest gripes with this whole thing), got recaptured by the Time Lords, turned into a child and given a proper 13-incarnation regeneration cycle. This, coupled with a memory wipe, would allow the Doctor to basically just grow up and be a normal Time Lord, another chance at life. So when Matt Smith was dying, he had reached the end of that cycle he'd been given. When the Time Lords did a thing and he regenerated, it was originally that he'd been given another regeneration cycle but it's since been retconned into them saving him by just giving him back the ability to regenerate infinitely.
      I don't like the concept of the Timeless Child. Not one bit. But that at least answers that question.

Why the whole season felt like it had no weight. This is why the latest season felt so foreign to me. Then again it could just be the beginning. Maybe the 13th Doctor has a strong enough mask to fool us all, and maybe, just maybe that mask will slip up in the future and we'll see the real Doctor in her.

      I really want to see the dark side of the doctor in season 12. There were little bits in season 11. Like in kerblam where Charlie died. And in resolution where she was ready to let Aaron die to kill the Dale. But there needs to be more. We need to see the pain and hurt they've gone through. I really want to see how the time in the confession dial affected them too. 4 and 1/2 billion years is a long time to be alone with your thoughts. Maybe they were like how they were in season 11 because of their promise to be kind. But the depth of the character really needs to be brought out in season 12. The darkness and the pain of loosing so much again and again, sometimes because there was no other way, like with Donna.
      Really hope season 12 is much better than season 11.

    You know it occured to me, doctor who is such a different show for those who never hurt anyone... For someone who never destroyed someone beyond repair or someone who's never known true regret or despair...to them the doctor is just emotional and stuck in the past.I envy those people... In not a timelord. I havent killed billions. But I've hurt people close to me... The ones who meant most and been hurt by others in ways that if some others i know had endured it i truly think some would have killed themselves. And even just that gives me such a heavy heart that when i try to imagine how he would feel its so overwhelming that you realize why people run at the mention of his name... A man who can move forward with that pain cannot be stopped. You can hurt him more and make him angry but he won't stop moving forward. Doctor who truly is a show that makes me cry ,smile and ponder in ways that some will never understand.im not a unique snowflake here i know, but i am part of the fanbase that you either understand or you don't.

My own life has a lingering grief and sorrow, and the Doctor gives me an emotional connection to that despair, but also the recognition that I can do so much more to try to help others. I don’t know that I will ever get through my sorrow, but I do know that I can use it for the good of others. Thank you for this moment of amazing reflection.

      This you for writing this. I watch it with my grandmother and sister mainly, and I’m always taken back when I hear anyone say that the doctor is so alien to us. That we need the companions to relate to him and understand him. But I’ve never found it to be the case, as in the end I’ve always related to the doctor with ease. And I do think it comes down to guilt, to those who know the same pain that he does, and those who don’t. I think those who don’t need the companions, but those who truly know him doesn’t need someone to make him explain how he feels because they just get them.

    I've seen ever Doctor but the War Doctor, grew up on this show and the reruns. Capaldi's Doctor is tortured by his past, and he don't try to rein it in.
    The Time War made him what he is now, and no one who has not seen the exact same monster he has will ever truely understand his rage, his anger. I see faces in my sleep of people I killed in war. I will till I die. He sees faces of people he's killed, let die, left behind, awake and asleep. He has seen things and done things that would drive anyone else mad. But he moves on, always moving, always forward.

      Love really is a curse. Everything always ends badly and it breaks you down. Doctor Who teaches us to appreciate things while they are happening, and to just be happy. ‘Everything ends and it’s always sad, but everything begins again, too. And that’s always happy. Be happy’

    I really didn’t like last season with Jodie as the doctor for some reason the story lines mean nothing and there’s no heart about it I preferred when the story lines were emotional and had a meaning

    • @danielsaunders2878
      @danielsaunders2878 4 роки тому +13

      The new season feels very american to me. A lot of slapstick and no real comedy. All the companions are pushovers and either have no opinions or opinions that are completely parallel to the doctors. No emotional connection between the doctor and the companions.It's like the entire show was stripped of it's entire foundations built from it's reboot and left with some flimsy shell of a show. All for what? a female doctor? could have easily taken a leaf out of the master/missy book and embraced a feminine side to the character. I hope they either keep the character style and go back to a male doctor or adjust the character to accommodate a female actress.

      @@danielsaunders2878 Soo, now with the storylines and the past of Timeless Child, do you change your mind about how Whittaker is a good Doctor ?
      Because yes she is, maybe not as good as Capaldi, but she had her own style, like every else Doctor

    • @danielsaunders2878
      @danielsaunders2878 3 роки тому

      @@suma8499 I stopped watching it when the Master came back. Gave it enough of a chance to charm me into liking her character but she didn't. I started watching it when it first came back with Christopher Eccleston and I have always been to hasty to dismiss the replacement doctors. So as a rule I always give them a chance even if I didn't like them at first. Every time a new doctor has come into the show I have been pleasantly surprised. until Jodie Whittaker. Frankly, seeing your comment 9 months later only proves me right. If it take nearly a year to develop a character to be likable then its a failed character.

    • @suma8499
      @suma8499 3 роки тому

      @@danielsaunders2878 It's bad because she has a good developement, but she also have the burden to prove that even womens can be excellent Doctors, in a way, she's like Eccleston, giving a new breath of life to the series, 9th by bringing back the serie on screen, and 13th by proving the Doctor isn't an actor, the Doctor is a symbol, a reminder of how we can behave, Never be cruel, never be cowardly, Run Fast, Laugh hard, and be nice

    • @danielsaunders2878
      @danielsaunders2878 3 роки тому +1

      @@suma8499 She was meant to prove that women could also play the doctor but failed miserably. Like I said 9 months ago. They did a fantastic job at Missy. If they had of took a leaf out of her book then they could have done something fantastic. What they did instead was try to keep the same characteristics, minus the charm and charisma of her predecessors and remove the connection and conflict the doctor and his companions used to have. They decided to recycle past villains for no reason at all other than to cash in on nostalgia and they changed the tone of the show drastically by adding slapstick humour.
