@@larryshair I highly recommend you react to “You’re never over” if you haven’t yet! It is a beautiful tribute to his best friend Proof, very heartfelt.
This is probably my favorite Em song. After my best friend passed i crawled into a bottle and a lot of self loathing. This song has too many parallels with what i experienced then id like to admit. Like Em: my daughter, this song basically on repeat, and finally reconnecting with my “family”, all helped me pull through. through the dark i was living in.
Part of the reason I love Eminem is when he personified slim shady, I was a boy in elementary who was starting to feel the angst of peer pressure and fitting in. I never went through the struggles he did but I felt that an artist had the same outcome of anger. Then throughout his journey, it’s like I grew with him as he grew into the healthy state he got to. Love your reactions and to be sharing experiences with another fellow Christian
There have been times that I was on a cocktail of substances listening to Eminem playing the same tracks over and over again in my own little world, when I was a teenager when I was in my early 20's when I was in my mid and late 20's I have been high drunk and other listening to eminem sober and all at different ages you can relate and find things and even understand more but eminem has helped me.
On my second day of no nicotine and weed and this is really helping eminem was on another level and i appreciate the both of yall for helping me recover...
@larryshair thanks man over a week and it's getting pretty tough but I won't give in. If you ever get a chance check out big krit at the bet awards he gives one of the best speeches I've heard on injustice in America it's worth a watch even if it doesn't go on the channel(video is recorded off a TV)
It's so strange to have grown up with Eminem. Songs that were good when I was in my 20s have completely changed meaning as I'm in my late 30s. I definitely understand the appeal to the legal drugs. I have struggled with the draw to them for many years.. it holds me so tight, I refused to take anything more than motrin after my csections. I have luckily escaped serious addiction but not because I'm better than anyone else or more resistant - it's pure luck. This song hits different now. Thank you for re-igniting my love of this incredible man.
It took me months asking you for this reaction and for you to listen to this song, finally! And I knew you were going to love it, because it's emotional, it touches important points of Em and I think it grabs anyone who listens to it. It is one of my favorites. The choir is sung by Black Sabbath (Ozzy), Em accompanies him from the second verse. Em is very fond of rock, that's why there are also many songs that you hear some sound or reference to some iconic song.
By the way Larry, another song that I think you would like a lot is "Believe", it's not very well known, it's from the "Revival" album it's a song that is very underrated but knowing you, it's another song that catches you and will turn you on the hairs stand on end... trust me.
There is a nice animated lyric video for it: ua-cam.com/video/CmxZ5V7quJw/v-deo.html Made by Randy Criz who later did "Godzilla" and the official "Tone Deaf" lyric video.
Eminem is literally one of the most humble guy ever... He has done so many good things especially that he has donated over 200 millions on charity offmedia. I don't know that do people understand what i tried to say😂😂

I was one of them people who tried to end it all and came extremely close and now im out the other side writing poems and trying to help others who are going through the same thing
I am not an Em fan but this song is really sending out a message. I love watching your vids cause you are so in touch with the details. You watch and hear every nuance in a song. Your disturbed, sound of silence was mind blowing. The details you pulled out of that video was very insightful. Love your work bro, keep it up. Oh and by the way, you are a very good looking man. Very good looking.
I’ve always personally thought that Em, referencing Hallie, when he says ‘I’m afraid if I close my eyes, I might see her’. Is his personal hell. If he ends his life, and closes his eyes for the final time, he will eternally just see her face
Every time I hear this song, I don't know why ,but I automatically start to cry, because it reminds me of my dark past and the times I don't want to remember and experience ever again. :(
Happy August Chris! So good to see your smile again. Hugs from Colorado🤗. Sure pray that your family is doing well. Appreciate your positive reactions.
As someone with a daughter and who has gone (still going) through mental health issues, this song really hits home. Your reactions are awesome and it's great to see a genuine guy going through his eminem journey. Eminem is massively misunderstood by so many people.
I was glad he wrote a song detailing why he was taking all those sleeping pills and overdosed from his perspective and woke up in the hospital had his stomach pumped and got a new lease on life, crazy it wasn't all over TMZ when it happened. My favorite part is he says this is for you Hailie I still love your mother and would do anything for her. He must have talked to her when she was younger about their separation. Hailie has a podcast now she might spill the beans on some of Em's song lyrics about her in future episodes I'd look that up.
I'm so grateful i found your channel. you are the most understanding down to earth person i have witnessed on this app. I've got sentences in my head but i cant put them together on here i just appreciate everything you say. to everyone else reading this, you can only get so low, once you reach that point, eventually you will see everything come together and you will realise what a mistake it would've been if you went through with the dark thoughts in your head. please try to keep your head high and stay strong because you are loved.
Eminem and Chester Bennington. One still with us, one no longer here. Both have saved more lives through their music and stories than it's possible to know. Linkin Park will always be one of the GOATs, just like Eminem. I strongly, STRONGLY encourage you to listen to just about anything from Linkin Park if you haven't already. Hybrid Theory, Meteora, Minutes To Midnight, A Thousand Suns, Living Things, The Hunting Party, One More Light - those are the 7 studio albums by LP, and while not every song on them is a mega hit, I defy you to find one BAD song on any of them. Spoiler alert: There isn't one. Chester had mental health issues; I believe that is why he is no longer with us (via suicide) and was unable to pull himself out of it like Eminem was. Two of the greatest artists of all time, and they are more alike than they are different.
Thank you for this one your a great human and we appreciate your energy to spread positivity and stay working hard 💪 em is everything to me yes saved my life many occasions you are right to say he has helped so many 😊
i dont know if youre gonna do this but on the topic of Proof, he has an incredible song called "Kurt Kobain" , i would definitely recommended it, it was made 1 year before his death
I think you are such a good UA-camr. I am really happy to see a guy in the age of my mom or dad understanding how big Eminem is. The lyrics and the story behind. I am from Germany enjoying you nearly every time you make a video. Thanks a lot man. Hopefully my English is good enough for you. Hope you understand my guy. 😊
Deja vu hits me hard I have seizures sometimes and wake up in a hospital full of tubes I hate it but I can not do anything about it because I was born with a fast heartbeat. But this fast heartbeat gives my brain the ability to understand all of what Eminem rhymes
2 years clean on Nov. 13th. Never imagined how much life has to offer. Today I can finally look in the mirror and I don't want to destroy the man looking back at me. Recovery is possible!

You should do talkin 2 myself from the same album it’s a great one It’s amazing I loved this album when it came out and really related took me another 6 years to figure out why though lol but 8 years later I’m sober and happy and still love this album
Love the Em reactions. Can't wait to which song you choose to listen next by him! If you want to change up the artist but stay in the hip-hop, especially the era Em is in, you should give the Mona Lisa music video by Lil Wayne and Kendrick Lamar a try. The song basically takes the perspective of 2 guys (Wayne and Kendrick) telling their own story about a symbolical woman named "Liz." If you go in with the idea of what makes the Mona Lisa so famous (the fake smile) and using the imagery of the music video, I would love to hear your reaction to this song! Thank you for everything you do! Huge fan of the channel and looking forward to your next reaction.
Love tour videos, did tou know Hailie has a podcast called Just a little shady 😆 what a great name! I listen to it and she sometimes talks about her father and situations she has been in with him!
The the emotion you show on the channel on the music ,knowing when Em writes those heartfelt lyrics you know its the truth of an actual moment he went through.....I didn't get into his music when he was first on the scene I am 39 I just couldn't relate or take in his lyrics but the past 7 years I have went from the he's ok to he's hands down the G.O.A.T ......he puts it all out there, penmanship is masterery.....anyone says other about his music are just lying or plain out hater cause when your on top for 25 yrs you'll be hated ....sad as it sounds
I wouldn't say this is the song that did it for me but like I have said on and off in comments to you Larry that Em has done a lot while people hate him for unnecessary things and yeah he is a hellraiser but considering his upbringing, it showed us we can still live life. I have had many attempts on my life and others trying to kill me for their own personal gain, I had to be different from the pain that lead me down the void. Em changed my life with his words and when he starts to do inspirational stuff like this, reflecting is what I end up doing. I was a mute on and off as a kid and got sick a lot. I couldn't use words the way everyone else did and I struggled with basic English and cannot speak Spanish yet after all this time because i needed to grow my speech comprehension. Listening to Em the first time around excited me because of his fun but crazy off the wall side. It made me want to push myself. Years later, I practiced Rap God for 5 months just to practice vocal work and improve my speech. I can safely say I can do just that and I got way better at rapping because of his complicated lyrical content. So every time I listen to his music from Mockingbird to Hailie's Song, etc. It changed my view to the world too. He gave me the strength to move on and that is why I will always support Marshall Mathers. I listened to so many of his songs
Another great analysis great job, another one i'd love to see you review would be The Ringer I personally love that song and it would be the perfect song to analyse.
I’ve been clean almost 2 years now and I used to listen to these songs while I was on drugs and now being off them I listen to it and it gives me the chills.
Never had a problem with drugs, but I am schizophrenic. Everytime I hear this song it always hits me in my gut. I actually cried a little watching this reaction, since I had a tough day at work today. Idk how to express myself, but I am gonna get with a psychiatrist asap now. I have been putting it off lately and I think I should do it tomorrow morning. Thanks for the great video and a reminder to always be reaching to get better everyday.
After listening to all your reactions it seems to me the next Eminem song for you to listen to is "My dads gone crazy". also none I have seen has reacted to that song yet, and its crazy to think that no one is playing it considering how funny it is, and how popular it was at the time of release.
I don’t tune in on every video, but every once in a while I see a song you’re reviewing and I know you’re going to have emotions. This is one of them. Your emotions are what brought me here. They’re genuine, thats rare these days. Hope all is well
I have read many times comments about people who said that the Eminem songs saved their lives......it's very shocking to know that......but is real that he talk about things in his songs that most people don't wanna talk about or know......and I think that for this reason he have a huge fan base and he still been one of the best artist of the latest years.....becaufe of that he is diferent.......Great reaction......!
As a 35 year old that is open to my fathers music eg the doors, David Bowie etc which I love. It’s great to see you have given Eminem a chance even though he is so different from ur era of music, angry and controversial in is raps. Pls listen to some uk grime cos it’s a whole other ball game and ppl from over the pond have been through some stuff too and they are so good at delivering that via music. @@Lucas-hy5qh yeah ofc he caused that? Lmao
@@Lucas-hy5qh imagine already having suicidal thoughts and doing drugs...then your husband becomes famous and tells the whole world your suicidal and on drugs...yea I'm sure that had no impact
@@justinhart5124 Yeah on that I gotta say it 120 % had an impact you said it perfectly. The whole world suddendly hate and know ur problems of course you
Ahh this song smashes u in the heart, having kids of my own I understand what he is saying,I could never leave them behind to navigate this changing somewhat difficult life. Just keep going, improve ur own life, surround urself with honest reliable friends and family and eventually u will see everything will start to work out. Life would be boring if it was easy,it's the challenges u put on urself that will keep u going. Em is 1 of a kind and there will never be another like him
You'll also really love Em's song "Talkin 2 Myself," which is also off Recovery. The song also deals with his recovery, another one where he's so candid and open. Dont wanna give more than info that, but the song is also amazing. No official video unfortunately but heres a link to a lyric video. Hope to see you check it out one day!

Second this. One of my ALL TIME favourites.
@@benkent4395 thanks, me too, it's in my top 5 em songs.
Walk on water is criminally overlooked too. So many don't understand the beauty and raw emotion and honesty in that song.
Yup, another one that I can't wait to see him react to!
And Darkness
You know it’s going to be a good day when a new Eminem video is uploaded. Thank you 🤘🤘
man I am not kidding you are possibly my favorite creator on youtube.. I genuinely love your Eminem reactions, keep up the solid work for years to come.
Wow, thanks so much Cody!
You've got this, my friend.

🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥.................Em tells stories like few others
It took me months asking you for this reaction and for you to listen to this song, finally! And I knew you were going to love it, because it's emotional, it touches important points of Em and I think it grabs anyone who listens to it. It is one of my favorites.
The choir is sung by Black Sabbath (Ozzy), Em accompanies him from the second verse.
Em is very fond of rock, that's why there are also many songs that you hear some sound or reference to some iconic song.
By the way Larry, another song that I think you would like a lot is "Believe", it's not very well known, it's from the "Revival" album it's a song that is very underrated but knowing you, it's another song that catches you and will turn you on the hairs stand on end... trust me.
Waiting for Believe too
There is a nice animated lyric video for it:
ua-cam.com/video/CmxZ5V7quJw/v-deo.html
Made by Randy Criz who later did "Godzilla" and the official "Tone Deaf" lyric video.
Eminem is literally one of the most humble guy ever... He has done so many good things especially that he has donated over 200 millions on charity offmedia. I don't know that do people understand what i tried to say😂😂
i just discovered the song
very surprising how teenage me could relate to eminem
one of the few songs that made me cry
FINALLY!! This is Ems best song in my opinion!!
Awesome reaction as always👏, seen what em has gone through with drugs is one of the reason I don't even try to experiment any type of drugs
I suggest you react to "you're never over"
What a beautiful reaction, Chris. You're a special man. A support-pillar, right here on the internet. I'm sure there are quite a few people out there leaning on you right now. If you were any lesser man, I'd be afraid of that burden, but not with you. Keep doing what you're doing, Chris. There will still be enough time for Angelina😊 Love from Norway♥♥♥♥♥♥
Well said 'AL '!!!

Thanks Pool for this comment. Chris may not know it but he has helped me and I’m sure many others. He shows love, understanding and so much wisdom. Thanks to you and Patti for always having kind and encouraging comments for Chris. He is a very special guy.
@@richv.1594 Thanks Rich. I love Chris. He's such a positive force in my life.
Man, i love your reactions, not just the respect and appreciation for eminems music, but for people in general. I can hear the sincerity when you give out a hand to people you dont know but are willing to say 'talk to me' ..we are in this together! Legend! Give 'your never over' a go by eminem...his song for Proof! Brilliant song
Thanks Nathan! You're so very kind!
@@larryshair thank you! And hello from wales fella
Both eminem and pentatonix changed my life. Then to find this channel and see the same happening to someone else is awesome.
Omg finally! I’ve asked you to do this so many times! I’m so glad you finally have because I knew you would love understanding and empathising with more of his struggles through his music x
(It’s also a Ozzy Osbourne (Black Sabbath) - sample on the hook
I was so trapped with 7 kids in a horrible DV relationship his music helped give me courage and strength to get us out!! It’s strange I know being a 49 year old mom with 9 grandkids now saying how Eminem helped saved me but it is what it is.
Thanks Chris for the reaction and the wisdom you drop! Hope you’re doing well and your family too.
Thanks Rich! You as well my friend!
Masterpiece
Again, what an awesome reaction! Thank you for sharing your lessons
Thanks so much for your kind words!
I’ve always personally thought that Em, referencing Hallie, when he says ‘I’m afraid if I close my eyes, I might see her’. Is his personal hell. If he ends his life, and closes his eyes for the final time, he will eternally just see her face
someone probably already said it but I'm pretty sure it is Ozzy singing the chorus.
Thanks Patti! Only about 4+ months to Christmas! lol
As someone with a daughter and who has gone (still going) through mental health issues, this song really hits home. Your reactions are awesome and it's great to see a genuine guy going through his eminem journey. Eminem is massively misunderstood by so many people.
Blessings to you and your daughter, Damian. I can't imagine the pain...
Fine line is also very emotional and to me the most underrated song Em has ever done, keep waiting to see you listen to it
I’m so glad you finally got to this one it’s an incredibly deep song and you’re always one of the best at breaking songs like this down
Finally Larry! You got to this song!
As always your reaction videos differ from most because of the insight and the genuine emotion that you show. Thank you
I was glad he wrote a song detailing why he was taking all those sleeping pills and overdosed from his perspective and woke up in the hospital had his stomach pumped and got a new lease on life, crazy it wasn't all over TMZ when it happened. My favorite part is he says this is for you Hailie I still love your mother and would do anything for her. He must have talked to her when she was younger about their separation. Hailie has a podcast now she might spill the beans on some of Em's song lyrics about her in future episodes I'd look that up.
Never heard this, but that ozzy sample is great, gives me chills. When I read the title, that lyric popped into my head.
Love this song it has so much power.
This album was my whole 2010 summer, brings me back every time I listen to a song from this album.
Thanks so much!
@@larryshair keep up the grind mate I’m sure em will notice u one day, I’ve seen it happen with other reaction channels!
Ozzy Osborne singing the chorus might be symbolic since he's also moved past drug problems. Original song is from Black Sabbath
For real? I never knew that, but I always wondered who this was
Thanks for the info 🙌🏼
Dude watched her be prom queen or her graduation and watched through window so he wouldn't be seen and take away from her moment dude loves his kids
Thank you for this one your a great human and we appreciate your energy to spread positivity and stay working hard 💪 em is everything to me yes saved my life many occasions you are right to say he has helped so many 😊
Thanks Mark!
This is one of my favorites. I enjoy the hell out of your content.
Thanks so much Rob!
Been waiting for this one.
i dont know if youre gonna do this but on the topic of Proof, he has an incredible song called "Kurt Kobain" , i would definitely recommended it, it was made 1 year before his death
Bro YES!!!
Thanks Dennis!
Deja vu hits me hard I have seizures sometimes and wake up in a hospital full of tubes I hate it but I can not do anything about it because I was born with a fast heartbeat. But this fast heartbeat gives my brain the ability to understand all of what Eminem rhymes
Oh I forgot to mention that I’m a mid 30s male
2 years clean on Nov. 13th. Never imagined how much life has to offer. Today I can finally look in the mirror and I don't want to destroy the man looking back at me. Recovery is possible!

I would love to see you react to "You're Never Over" which is one of Em's ode to Proof; or talking 2 myself which is some great self reflecting by em..
You should do talkin 2 myself from the same album it’s a great one
It’s amazing I loved this album when it came out and really related took me another 6 years to figure out why though lol but 8 years later I’m sober and happy and still love this album
Heard this a billion times and when Hailie says Daddy it gets me every time
This song helped me a lot in my early recovery days
Much love Em❤️❤️❤️
One of my favorite Eminem songs!
Hey I sugested that song too ! It helped me a lot , while I was going through a depression . I am much better now . Cheers from Brazil.
This song rocks!
Eminem your never over proof tribute
Another great analysis great job, another one i'd love to see you review would be The Ringer I personally love that song and it would be the perfect song to analyse.
Respect to you Chris for always looking out for us in more ways than one - much love
Thanks so much, Aj! Back atcha, bud!
I’ve been clean almost 2 years now and I used to listen to these songs while I was on drugs and now being off them I listen to it and it gives me the chills.
Love that!
Loved this reaction!! ❤️ your journey!!
Thanks KT!
The hook is Ozzy Osbourne. I feel like I’ve waited for this forever! Still loving you Chris. Much love from North east England
Wishing you all the best in the fight. You e got this.
After listening to all your reactions it seems to me the next Eminem song for you to listen to is "My dads gone crazy". also none I have seen has reacted to that song yet, and its crazy to think that no one is playing it considering how funny it is, and how popular it was at the time of release.
I’m sure millions have already said this but the hook is ozzy Osbourne, from his original song changes. Eminem just sampled the hook
Beautiful reaction. And wonderful advice. I'd love to see you react to Believe next.
Just lost my father no1 there for but eminem n he is getting me through
You're a beautiful human being man. Just wanted to let you know 💯
Thanks so much Brad!
I don’t tune in on every video, but every once in a while I see a song you’re reviewing and I know you’re going to have emotions. This is one of them. Your emotions are what brought me here. They’re genuine, thats rare these days. Hope all is well
Thanks Alex!
Thanks so much! He is a great support and very relatable to those that have these struggles. Epic.
Could you listen to talkin' 2 myself by Em I think it's a really good song and you'd really like it. Honestly this whole album is really goated
Kano, devlin and ghetts are some of our greatest.
You're never over by Eminem next????
Seconded so glad it made cc2 as well 🙌
I thank the Lord for his many blessings 🙌🏽 , thank you Sir for helping make this make sense. Em's a Monster and true inspiration!
