As a sequel to our previous events regarding K-Jetronic fuel injection and KE-Jetronic fuel injection, MBCA and Pierre Hedary discuss D-Jetronic fuel injection as it pertains to Mercedes-Benz vehicles. Bosch D-Jetronic was the first ever commercially successful electronic fuel injection system. This system was used on all V8 models in the United States from 1970 to 75, with the exception of the 6.3 L m100 engine.

You are a legend for sharing your hard earned knoweldge. I learned more here than all the articles, videos, blogs, half truths out there on D-jetronic. This is "the" guide if any one either owns a D-jetronic mercedes or is thinking of buying one and self maintaining it. Cannot thank you enough.
This was a good effort but I believe this needs to be a shot and edited and posted video on MBCA. If Pierre’s videographer Thomas Can shoot it with the camera shots he knows this needs I believe it would be the best video series on the internet for Bosh fuel injection.

Good material for a seminar on this engine. I’ve got a 74 450SL with a misfire at idle. Everything you’re talking about is related to my car. Haha. I need help with it. Pay ya to come out here.
I also have a 74 405SL , Mine has run good at all speeds except for idle which is a shame for such a great running car.

When changing fuel pump to later model, I was advised not to buy a pump that has a too high pressure output. the old pumps are about 3 bar. new one can be 5 bar plus. This can wear out the fuel pressure regulator. What do you think Pierre?
