    FYI for viewers of the future, I don't think Nulls support Ghost Bodies anymore, as when I got to that part, the connector did nothing with the null. Instead, I used a regular cube with a ghost body and attached that as A and the rig worked again. Just disable the views on the cube to make it invisible.

    The cloth stretched when you lifted the PULL Null, what parameters do you have to fix to avoid the stretching in that case ? You are mentioning the friction, that could be useful but still it shouldn't stretch that much if you consider it could got caught you still would have the chance to stretch it like that, so it should old the structure or also it would be nice if the cloth would create an opposing force and influence the PULL Null ability to move.

    Hey Guys. Hey Ej. I was in your Miami MoGraph presentation. Thanks for taking the time and building this community. Im sure a lot, as well with others, we greatly appreciate you sharing all your insights. Aside from the crashy computer, (lol) i came out a little more knowledgeable. I was wondering, i see you use SOFT BODY but i come to find out that my C4D R19 Broadcast version doesn't have that in the program?!?! i see you tend to use it over cloth because you feel as you can control it a little better and don't have to mess around to much with settings and what not. is there any way i can make it as simple as your present it here without needing to use SOFT BODY.
    Also if anyone knows how i can get around C4D R19 Broadcast to get updated simulation dynamics tags that would be great!!! Thanks

All of the sudden the plane loses it's cloth appearance (flexibility) and just turns into a solid plane or it just goes through the torus and sphere without any collision so I couldn't do the tut properly. thanks you

    • @eyedesyn
      @eyedesyn  5 років тому

      Great to hear! :) The pink background (or any background) can be made by adding a Background Object and adding a material to it with color in the luminance channel.

    Nice but you should play animation after each param change, instead of showing it after 15 adjustments because we can’t understand what each param does or interact with others. Too static. But thanks anyway for your time and ideas

    Great tutorial man! I'm in R19 and the connector with the null attached to the plane doesn't seem to react. I've followed along every step of the way, but the null just won't pull the cloth with the connector+null. Do you know what could be the reason for the null+connector not to work? :) Thanks in advance.

      Hey Tom! I don't give away project files because I like to encourage people to learn how to do it themselves through practice. The materials are simple reflective surfaces and the look is all from an HDRI and GI.

    How can I convert the result to editable polygons and export this to OBJ Sequence (for ex. with Riptide Pro)? If I convert it to polygonal, it doesn't work. Without converting to polygonal the objects are invisible after using Riptide. I want to export this to Element 3D.

    • @eyedesyn

      You can export out as alembic and it would bake down everything to PLA. Not sure how Riptide works but I know there's a lot out there on converting C4D files to baked down version for use in Element 3D
